Happy Birthday, Pokeheroes! Pokeheroes celebrates its eleventh anniversary. The Mew plushies were released at midnight on the 1st of July for users to spend their DPs already, while the main event was launched when our admin, Riako, had time to be online. Come with us and indulge yourself in the festival!

It starts with distributing old and new Pokémon. Fancy Vivillon and Pokéball Vivillon can be obtained via the “regular” way.

Great Tusk and Iron Threads will only stay until 31st of August for people who have completed the first hurdle in the paradox research quest(s).

The annual Mew Plushie Event is back again.

And lastly, Riako talked about how our server is old and he needs to migrate PokeHeroes to a newer and better one. It will pause our gameplay, with a heads up given by him.

A new spider Pokémon with its evolution was found inside our PokéDex. Let’s take a look, shall we?

The artists of PokeHeroes don’t always have time to draw for us Pokémon Plushies. The bar that said “0 more Dream Points have been spent until new plushies are released” has now been removed. Instead of releasing new plushies whenever, they're released every now and then. Like at special events (July), special event distribution, every few months, etc.

For PokeHeroes’ birthday, seven new plushies were released - including one with limited stock. Grab one before it runs out!
Let's take a look at them, shall we?

Riako fixed the copy and paste text for the Paldea Research about Iron Treads and Great Tusk. It falsely said “Claim Egg” from part 1 of Paldea Research. Now it says “Claim Reward” correctly.

We’re still searching for news/article writers. If you want to get a payment of 20k for each article you write, send a PM to me. This has to include an example of how you would write a news article. Old writers who have worked for the PH Times before just need to give me a quick heads up over palpad.

-> Team talking happens over in a palpad group
-> Be ready all the time or whenever new content happens (roughly every 2 weeks once)
-> If you need to take a break (due to personal reasons, etc), tell me so that I can plan ahead (don’t just vanish)

Weekly Fun Fact

Everytime a new PH Times comes out, we also give you a fact! They can be knowledgeable or funny or even both at the same time. Have fun! :D

New Event Distribution

A new event distribution is running! Between midday on the 12th of August and midday on the 25th of August, you can collect Activity Points around the site to hatch your own event Pokémon. This time round, you can pick from one of two types of eggs - a “daydream” version and a “nightmare” version. The former was sprited by Hime-Nyan in the spriting contest, while the latter was sprited by the Pokéheroes spriting team - a complete coincidence! Let’s check out the new Pokémon:

The PH Times is now under new management!

After four and a half years of service in the PH Times, our beloved editor-in-chief, Absbor, has stepped down from their post. Gift a plushie to thank them for their unwaveringly hard work throughout the years!

After nearly two years as co-editor, I’ve taken the baton to continue the PH Times, leaving me the only remaining staff member. I’ve got quite a lot going on in life, so I have no idea how long I’ll be able to keep this up, but I will continue to enjoy working on it for the foreseeable future.

We’re looking for more staff members! Journalists, writers, artists, sub-editors, columnists, puzzle-makers and more are always wanted!! If you have a skill you can use to help out the PH Times, or even if you don’t think you have any particular skill, please contact me (BoomBoy) over PalPad or Private Message. You will be paid by the article/issue. Apparently, back in the day before I joined, we used to have over a dozen people working for us.

Unfortunately, some cuts have had to be made to the regular columns. I feel unable to continue working on some of the weekly sections on my own, so I thought I’d focus on quality over quantity. (Sections that’ve been temporarily cut include Horoscope, Who’s That Pokémon, Birthdays, Advertisements and Sudoku.) I will try to publish on Sunday/Monday evenings (when there’s something to talk about, but we’ll see how far we get.

If you’re interested in joining to help run some of these columns, please contact me! If you want to run a column that’s already running, or return a column that’s not running (eg those mentioned above, or roleplay reporting, or the help centre), or start a new column (eg a puzzle, or an opinion column, or interviews, or recipes, or anything!) then we’d love to have you onboard. If you’re interested in an editing or executive role, fantastic! If all you want to do is palpad me every time it’s someone’s birthday, also fantastic!

And thank you to everyone for reading!!

- Editor-in-Chief, BoomBoy

Server improvements & bug fixes

After the server migration last week, the admin Riako has continued to make improvements on the performance of Pokéheroes. For the uninitiated, the Pokéheroes server has been undergoing upgrades (and migrated to new software and hardware) for a couple of months.

During SCS last week, performance was improved tenfold, the admin reported in the Minor Updates forum thread.

Additionally, several bugs have been patched. A full list can be found on the Minor Updates forum thread, alongside the original bug report threads. The most notable include the following:

Last Saturday, a bug at the item market was patched resulting in downtime of the market for about half an hour that day. Riako apologised for the inconvenience.

Additions to Pokéheroes

The Rindo Berry has finally been added - it was originally left out of Pokéheroes by mistake, even though it’s a vanilla Gen 5 berry from the core Pokémon series, which would make this a bug patch as well. It’s a spicy and bitter berry, and was available for 15% off on Tuesday. You can track your collection in the berrydex.

Additionally, due to the server migration, you can now attach images to PalPad messages. This was an unintentional addition, but has been left in as the admin commented that it seems to work well. It can be achieved using the same BBCodes you use in forums and private messages, including img tags, pkmn tags and pkmnbig tags: as a demonstration, the message in the screenshot opposite was generated with the following code:
[img]https://staticpokeheroes.com/img/pokemon/bw_front/1650.png[/img] [pkmn]650[/pkmn] [pkmnbig]650[/pkmnbig]

The only issue I’ve noticed so far is that if images take a minute to load (eg on slow connections) then loading a chat can scroll to the wrong place. No other bug reports have appeared, but we’ll report here with all the updates - make sure to follow this thread to keep posted! For a guide and Q&A thread regarding BBCodes, see here.

New event distributions are available at the Dream World Shop! For just 600 dream points, you can get your very own shiny Spring Mareep or Gourgeist plushie!

Plushie Drawing Contest Winners!

The Plushie Drawing Contest has drawn to a close. Unlike the typical Dream World appearances, in this competition, contestants were asked to draw a plushie of one of the inhabitants of Emera town - Greg the Gem Collector, Professor Rowan, or even one of the many mermaids (who all have the same name..?) populating Emera Beach.

The winners, announced a couple of weeks ago, were as follows:

Keshi, by AstralAbraxas!

Leah, by Akemie

The Hiker, by Lorry14

Lorelei, by NekoScrub

Congratulations to
all the winners and
well done to everyone
who took part!

Return of the Berry Battle!

May, our good friend from the Hoenn region, is visiting Emera for the first time in four years, which means the Berry Battle has returned! It can be found at the top of the town square.

Before you can start contesting, you need to complete a few short challenges: show your love for berries by feeding 500 berries to Pokémon; show your affinity as a gardener by growing the Pumkin Berry to level 5; then, treat May to a Hoenn Tonic after her long journey. Once you've completed these three tasks, you can compete in the battle itself, which started this Saturday.

The recipe for the Hoenn Tonic is fairly simple: you need one Soda Pop, five Drash Berries at level 2, five Eggant Berries also at level 2, and ten Pumkin Berries at level 5. Mix them up in your cooking pot for twelve minutes and you're good to go!
Make sure to plan your garden carefully so you always have enough of each of the berries - and remember which levels each berry needs to be, as the Admin himself, Riako, failed to do!

Depending on how many tonics you cook over the day, you may receive prizes at site reset. Most trainers will get festival points, depending on how well they rank compared to other trainers, and the top few may receive special prizes, including some of May's favourite retro Pokémon and some exclusive Key Items! Stay tuned to find out next week what other prizes are on offer at the battle!

Greg's Life Writing Contest!

The latest user contest has arrived in Emera town! CatLady invites you to write a short story (or other format) about Greg, the slightly weird gem collector. Not a lot is known about this inhabitant of Emera Town, so your imagination can run wild! Read up on the small bits of lore that we do know, and fill in the gaps to your heart's content. Rumour has it that he can be seen stealing the coins put in Emera Fountain at night sometimes...

Send your entry, which should be around 400-500 words, by Private Message to CatLady, and title it "Writing Entry Submission". Don't post it in the forum thread! Pokéheroes Site Rules apply to everything you write, and it should be appropriate for all ages to enjoy. You have until the 27th of September. The winners will receive a flute combo pack, but all participants will receive some Festival Points. Good luck, and happy writing!!

Site Upgrade Update

The update about the updates...? .... Brought to you by the PHT!

As part of Riako's big 11th Anniversary upgrade plan, he plans on bringing a wave of bug fixes to Pokéheroes. Over the weekend, he announced two goals he's working on by the end of the year:
Quote from Riakoa) Reduce the amount of unresolved, confirmed bug reports to 100 or less (started at 150 a few weeks ago). This means I still have to fix one bug every 3-4 days until the end of the year. (Unless CatLady moves more bugs to "confirmed", in which case I just have to work harder :P)
b) Fix all reported spelling mistakes. With major help by CatLady, I've already reduced the amount of spelling mistake reports from about 800 posts to 100 (by either fixing them, or deleting ones that have been reported multiple times or have been fixed already). So... 100 more to go, woohoo.
This forms part of the site's ongoing Quality-of-Life upgrades. We at the PH Times give our utmost gratitude to the admin and moderators, especially CatLady, for organising and executing this greatly called-for update🌸 :)

One effect of this noble endeavour was published in the Minor Updates forum thread: the forum category "Bugs/Complaints" has been renamed "Bug Reports", and the "Solved" category has been renamed to "Resolved". This is to make the site slightly more helpful, as a simple complaint doesn't achieve much, and many of the bug reports end up to be user error. No-one puts it better than Riako:
Quote from Riako via Jacharias A complaint that is only there to rant/complaint is NOT really helpful; a GOOD complaint always proposes what exactly needs to change in order for things to be better.
[...]
So, having a Complaints forum was always a bit redundant. Plus, it made it slightly harder to find bugs that need more immediate fixing.

Weekly Fun Fact

In each edition of the PH Times, you get a fact! If you're lucky they might also be interesting!

The word Kyrgyz, as in Kyrgyzstan, may come from an old Turkic word meaning “we are forty” (the modern Turkish equivalent is “kırkız”), which references the forty clans that were united by Manas, a legendary Kyrgyz hero, to become one nation. (This is also why the flag of Kyrgyzstan has forty rays surrounding the sun.) However, there are other disputed etymologies.

Let me know how you find it please - we at the PHT always welcome feedback. I try to make them such that you can work it out if you know your stuff.

Cooking Pot Updates

Your trusty cauldron in which you cook teacakes, terracotta and (most presently) tonics has just been made easier to use! A Quality-of-Life (QoL) update initially suggested by drafang62 was implemented by the admin, Riako this Tuesday. You can now select a dish to be cooked multiple times at once, all at the click of one button, saving you the effort of navigating the menu several times.

Additionally, you can prioritise lower or higher berry levels, within the confines of your stock. For example, if you're working on your berrydex, you might wish to only use lower level berries, whereas for the Berry Battle, it may be optimal to use up your higher level berries. You can still change this selction manually, as has previously been the case. See an example below:

The Berry Battle!

The Berry Battle, a competition hosted by May of the Devon Corporation, wages on into its second week! Who can cook the most Hoenn Tonics? There have already been nine winners, some of whom the PH Times had the pleasure of speaking to!

In this longer-form article, we spoke to several Pokéheroes players who had different strategies, opinions and tips about the ongoing Berry Battle. Let us know your thoughts (PalPad or Private Message me anytime!) on this new format of opinion and information piece. Cloudfairy likes the principle, expressing the idea that it could get more people involved and invested with the Times. "I mean I'll definitely be curious to see who said what," she commented.

What you can win:

Everyone gets a prize! Everyone who participates in a day (by entering any number of Hoenn Tonics - even just one) will receive some festival points. We spoke to Zellane, a site-wide renowned gardener, who described her findings:
Quote from Zellane[Y]ou get a certain amount of Festival Points per Tonic you turn in but you also gain a bonus from where you place.
So, entering the same number of Tonics on two different days and coming in different places on the leaderboard will get you a different number of festival points at the end of the day. Hard work is rewarded by the Tonic, but the Berry Battle is exactly that - a battle - and doing better than everyone else pays off too!

In addition to festival points, there are some rare items, and even a Pokémon, on the line - see the spoiler for details!

The first time you qualify for the Battle, you unlock a special rumble area - Route 102. When you have this map, which you may have from a Battle in a previous year, you can get an upgrade for it by ranking among the top 50 players in one of the battles. Once this has been unlocked, the top 50 may receive a prize of a special fishing rod (the King Rod) for use at Emera Beach. If you have all these key items already, each day you rank among the top fifty, you get a limited-edition Retro Pokémon - May's favourite! Let's check it out, shall we?

Bellossom (Retro)

Word on the street has it that each Retro Bellossom has a 2% chance of being shiny!

Managing your garden:

It can be difficult taking care of all your plants, nurturing them with water and fertilisers, all the while preparing an ample supply of seeds and filling your cooking pot with the ingredients, stirring when necessary.

It's particularly difficult when different gardens have different fertilities, and different berries have different growing speeds and levels required, because all your berries end up finishing at different times. Perhaps it's best to plant them in blocks, so you don't end up fragmenting your real estate: Qiaokeli, who's ranked among the top ten no fewer than six times this season, does whole gardens at a time of just one berry. Having unlocked all four gardens, he used the first two gardens (a total of 84 slots, with a medium fertility) for Pumkin berries, the third garden (96 slots, but a slower growing rate) for Eggant berries, and the fourth (just 27 slots, but berries grow most quickly here) for Drash berries. This was fairly balanced, but he still recommends keeping track of your stock and adjusting accordingly if you're low on one berry or the other.

TheLemonLord's strategy is quite different. He has three of the gardens unlocked, and has hit the ranklist for the first time this Sunday. At the moment, they work on solely Pumkin berries most of the time, and works in a third of the other two whenever she falls below 100 of either. Keeping a good stock seems to be a common theme of most success stories we heard: Snowfrost makes sure to always have 500 Pumkin berries rotating between seeds and garden, such that you never run out of berries to make new seeds from.

Taking care of your levels is another way of ensuring you can stay on top of everything. Of course, the higher the level is, the more slowly it grows, so keeping the berries no more than one level above the threshold (lvl2 for Eggant/Drash and lvl5 for Pumkin) is ideal. Usually, around 20-30% of berries get ranked up to the next level when they're turned into seeds - the plan Zellane (who's come fifth place or better six times) holds to involves planting these higher level seeds, and using them solely for making tonics. She estimates that 9 in 10 of her tonics are made from these higher level berries, and the majority of the correctly-levelled berries get turned back into seeds to multiply in the fields.

Time management may also prove difficult - remembering to visit the garden every now and then is my most throttling vice. Keep track of your waiting periods, and try to minimise (ideally eliminate) the time your gardens spend fallow.
Quote from Qiaokeli[K]eep grinding, but make sure to not overdo it, cuz you wouldn't wanna lose track of your [IRL] responsibilities[.]

Taking advantage of May's Green Thumb, the feature that boosts the growth of all your Hoennian berries, is one way of spending time while you wait for seeds to grow and berries to cook. You can activate the thumb by feeding 200 berries to Pokémon - using clicklists with mostly hatched 'mons, such as "Random Clicklist", is quickest - and heading to the Berry Battle page. This cuts a quarter off your growth times. The most fun part is that it stacks multiplicatively: activating it once cuts an hour of waiting time down to 45 minutes, and activating it again (after feeding 200 more berries, of course) cuts that down to around 34. Most interviewees I spoke to activate it around twice per batch, when they're at home at least, but Qiaokeli (who actually holds second place on the ranklist for most berries fed) says they activate it up to ten times per batch (which would cut an hour down to 3 minutes, 23 seconds) - by which point the berries are probably all grown!

Tips from the top:

Rack up the tonics over several days. By simply not collecting your tonics when they're brewed, they can stack up over two or more days and become much more numerous than if you entered them immediately. Personally, this is certainly the only chance I have at getting into the top ten on any one day. Snowfrost, who was first place on the leaderboard at the time of writing, says that their “success for today has been three days of buildup”, and that most days they end up around 50th on the leaderboard.

Invest in some upgrades. If you're not an experienced gardener, it's worthwhile to upgrade all your seed makers to the maximum, so you don't spend as much time filling them up and you can have longer queues. The same goes for the cooking pot. Having more gardens can increase your throughput a lot, but they're quite large investments so it's not absolutely necessary for success.

Stock up - and not just on the Hoennians. Make sure you always have a small backlog of each of the three required berries, so when you start running low you can make sure to focus on that one and prevent any downtime in your cooking pot. But you should also make sure you have an ample supply of other berries to feed to Pokémon as part of May's Green Thumb. Consensus among experts seems to reocmmend Oran and Cheri berries, which are easy to grow and often available at the Item Shop (check daily to get the best offers!). Oran has a lot of flavours, so is preferred by most of Pokémon, as can be seen in your Berrydex.

Plan. Although this isn't always an explicitly given tip, everyone we spoke to was able to explain with quite a lot of detail how they managed their gardens and seed makers. Take a minute to work out which seeds and berries you need more of at the moment. As TheLemonLord put it, "plan how you distribute [the berries] between the seed makers, because you'll [lose] a lot of time to that". Snowfrost recommends making sure you never run out of berries: “if you use up them all for tonics and only have 1 left, you're basically back to square 1 again. But if you have 500 level 5 [P]umkin berries in rotation, you can make maximum tonics, while growing some, and making some to seeds. And constantly keeping track of if you can harvest or make more seeds.”

Don't stress yourself! It's important to balance life and video games, so don't feel pressured or stressed by the competition to be fanatical about logging onto Pokéheroes. Everyone we spoke to, at all levels of the pecking order, echoed this.

The Berry Battle will end on the 19th of September

This article was written on Sunday the 8th of September and some details may have changed by the time of reading.

If you have any comments regarding what our interviewees said, please send them to the PokéHeroes Times staff, i.e. me, instead of taking them up with the interviewees. We’re always looking for comments and feedback!

Minor Updates

Paldea Research tasks requiring a specific rarity or type will now give you more points compared to hatching any old egg, because (as Riako explained in the Minor Updates post) "finding specific eggs is a lot more difficult than just adopting and hatching random eggs."

In the same post, Riako also announced that the next Paldea Research event will start in October. His current plan "is to always have them run for 2 months and then give players one months of a break, before the next one starts" - what do you think of this? Write to us (via PalPad or Private Message to BoomBoy) with your thoughts!

Announced in the same thread, the latest few Event Pokémon are now available at the Event Shop: Solaris and the two Chingling variations. Until the 20th of September, you can buy a combo pass for both Chingling (Daydream) and Chingling (Nightmare) for two-thirds off!

Monkeys on the Prowl!

As the autumn months near, the Berry Battle wages into its final week and the nights grow darker quicker, rumour has it that a mythical Pokémon as dark as the sky is visiting Emera Town... Could it be the Rogue Monkey Pokémon, Zarude? The word on the street is that it wants to meet only the most daring of players:

Quote from RiakoThe requirement to meet Zarude is very simple: Interact. Interact a lot!

By interacting with as many Pokémon as possible, there’s a chance Zarude has a gift for you:
Show hidden content
The plushie has a 1 in 5 shiny chance! The egg also has a shiny chance… But you can increase the shiny chance of the egg by receiving lots of plushies, effectively “shiny-chaining” the Mythical Pokémon!

Found out more information on the announcement thread.

But that’s not all! One day a week, Zarude and its friends, the Monkey Pokémon, take over Emera town entirely! Be careful on Monkey Mondeys as you walk around town, because Zarude has a double chance of appearing. Zarude’s accomplices in monkey-related knavery have a strongly increased shiny chance on Monkey Mondey! This applied today, and many Emerans have already adopted a Monkey Pokémon hunt, with some having great success. Why not try out your own luck in these treacherous times? There are two more Monkey Mondeys: the 23rd and 30th of September.

Zarude will be in Emera Town until the end of the month!

Bug Fix Bonanza!

The Admin, Riako, has been busy fixing “a couple of bugs”. No fewer than ten were listed on his announcement post last week in the Minor Updates forum thread! Follow the link above for more details, and see an abridged run-down in the spoiler below.

Show hidden content
- Shadow Pokémon appear with the proper sprite in GTS trades [X] [X]
- Bug Type is now super-effective on Dark Type (wait, it wasn’t??) [X]
- You can no longer accidentally complete bulletin board tasks by reloading [X]
- Searching for plushies now works properly
[X]
- PMs with blank topics are now blocked [X]
- Clicking “Show More” on the notif-page can longer load the same notifs twice [X]
- Notification pop-ups no longer stop you clicking elsewhere [X]
- Profile layout settings no longer do weird punctuation shenanigans [X]
- “Feed free berry!” now counts to DW tasks properly [X]
- Releasing a Pokémon returns the item it was holding [X]

Of course, find a better summary here!

We had the pleasure of interviewing Riako, the duck responsible for these minor updates! We asked what sort of bugs are the hardest to fix:

Quote from Riako[T]he "hardest" bugs are usually the ones that require me to work on a (complex) feature that I haven't touched in years, like the berrygarden. The berrygarden is incredibly complex, it consists of thousands and thousands of lines of code. And it was released I-dont-even-know-how-long-ago. So I had to first understand what my code was even doing. So yeah, these are a bit more tricky.

Perhaps the weirdest bug that was fixed last week was the ’Murica! bug, as it’s been nicknamed. This was a bizarre situation first reported here, where punctuation in the custom profile page panel titles would be flipped - but it only affected the editor, and not the panel itself. For example, ’Murica! became !Murica’ as here:

But everywhere else, notably the profile page itself, was unaffected. Although this is quite a strange thing to encounter, the cause behind it was surprisingly simple, as Riako explains:

Quote from RiakoThe 'Murica! bug was very bizarre, but actually quite simple.

When you go to your Profile Layout settings, you will see two columns of panels: Left and right. On the left [side], you see an arrow pointing to the right ►, while on the right side, you see an arrow pointing to the left ◀.
To achieve this, I used a simple trick back then: I set the right column to use right-to-left text direction. This means that this symbol was automatically flipped (and also aligned to the left instead of the right side of the column). I didn't actually have to use two different symbols. And normal text [should be] unaffected by this.
When a word contains special characters, however, like apostrophe[s] and exclamation mark[s] (as in 'Murica!), [these characters were] suddenly flipped as well. And this caused the bug :'D

This gives us an insight into the tangle of systems - dare I say spaghetti - that make up Pokéheroes, and how small (in this case, comically small) gaps form.

Riako also gave us an exclusive preview into some of the upcoming bugs he’s working on! As part of his goal to reduce the number of confirmed bugs down to 100 by the end of 2024, he’s aiming to work on five each week. This means a new fix should roll out every now and then - keep your eyes peeled on the Minor Updates forum thread! One of the bugs he’s hoping to have got to the bottom of by next week is in the auction house: occasionally, Pokémon aren’t transferred to their new owners. The tricky thing about this particular one, Riako tells us, is that it doesn’t produce any explicit error messages in the logs. “I know that it happens, and I roughly know where in the code it happens, but I can't seem to reproduce it on-command, and there also don't seem to be any error messages generated when it does happen. It's super weird... But I am still confident that I am very close to fixing this bug as well.”

Halloween!!!

The spooky season has returned - the Trick or Treat event has been running since the 17th of October, and will continue to run for the rest of the month, so keep your wits about you as you walk around Emera Town!

You can collect Halloween Sweets by trick-or-treating other users: head to the contact details on their profile page and pick something to dress up as, or something to scream. This year, the scariest things on offer are Ghosts ("Booohoooo!"), Zombies ("Gwraaaaahh!"), Mondays ("Mooondayyy!!"), Phones with no internet connection ("Network Connection Error!") and Darkrai ("I know what you dreamt last night!").

Some true nightmare fuel is afoot - you can trick your friends into giving you extra Halloween Sweets by truly terrifying them with the thing they fear most! The userbase has set up, in the annual tradition, a Forum Thread listing the worst fears of users who declare such insecurities, to aid with your maximal nightly harvest. The ethics are questionable but the rewards are wonderful! It’s certainly very telling of the site’s demographic that the most feared thing listed on this thread is no internet... Back in my day, people used to be scared of real things. Like children. And boomers.

Sweets aren't the only thing you could find while out trick-or-treating!! Some users have been spiking their chocolate bars with spirits from the otherworld - some rare retro Pokémon! Don't go out without your trusty Pokéballs as they could save your life.

You can also obtain Halloween Sweets by other means, like interacting with Pokémon or sending gifts at the Dream World. By investing in some Key Items, you can increase your Halloween Sweet income - for example by collecting them out in the Rumble Areas. See more details on the Event Page.

This event will last until midday on the 1st of November
Less than four days are left - get stuck into the spooky spirit while you can!

Giratina's here too!

To get you into the spirit of the season (pun intended), why not get yourself a Giratina (Origin) plushie? At this limited event at the Dream World Shop, you can earn your very own by spending 750 Dream Points on gifts for other users. Every fifth event plushie is shiny!

Sorry for the delay!

Due to reasons outside of my control, time’s been limited - and because I’m running this ship on my own, it’s suffered a little in terms of reliability as of late. It’s no secret that the event covered in this issue has been public for a week and a half - or that the event before that wasn’t even covered. I’ve cleared a couple of things from my plate but there’s still very little space left for this beautiful publication that’s been running for over four and a half years.

As always, I’m looking for someone to work together with! Whether you take over the role of editor or if it’s just a crude bi-weekly doodle, any contribution is more than welcome!! We’d love to have you onboard no matter how many or how few skills you think you can offer. You can start a new column, restart an old one, write news articles, help me edit, copyedit and collate the paper as a whole, or give us a fun artwork whenever you feel like it. This paper is, as well as the site as a whole, after all entirely recreational - so we want to offer our readers the best, widest and roundest experience we can get. And I guarantee you that you have something of use to offer - a skill, some time, some ideas - even if you think you don’t.

Did I mention that you get paid??

If you're interested in getting involved, we'd love to consider you - write a PM to me (BoomBoy).

We'd always love to hear from you, whether it be thoughts, opinions, advice, help, or anything! It can be about the PH Times itself, something we wrote about, something you'd like us to mention or something relating to Pokéheroes or Pokémon at large.

Send us your art so we can post it here! The ownership is still with the artists, and we will not use it for anything. This is just to advertise your art. We will give proper credit and provide exposure to the artist.

This week's joke:

What’s Aladdin’s favourite Pokémon?
Magikarpet!

😹😂🤣

Thank you to all who sent jokes! If you also want to send a joke, feel free to send a private message/palpad to BoomBoy and it may feature in the next issue! (with due credit, of course)
Randomly found jokes will be used in the meanwhile. This wall is purely meant for entertainment. ;-)

Quote from Hipsterpotamus, the original editorWhen we made P.H. Times, we had done it with a dream of uniting the entire user-base and being a platform for public discussions for users. Feeds of all users may not always be noticed. Have a story to share? Want to talk about something? PM/PP me the article and we will publish it! We look forward to listening from you!!
