Gulping at the sudden atmosphere surrounding them, Gateguard chuckled and offered a quiet smile. "But in the end, the fight is always worth it." He breathed, dropping a light kiss on Nova's forehead, lips lingering slightly before he suddenly jerked away, face bright red. "I-i'm uh- going to go get some.... f-firewood? yeah, more firewood." He stammered out despite the fact that they had plenty of firewood already, running away before Nova could even get another word out. He didn't stop moving until he was sure that Nova couldn't see him anymore before letting out a muffled wail of embarrassment.

Blinking at the wolf, Julian hesitantly put a hand atop the canine's head, slowly stroking the soft fur. "Well this is new." He murmured lowly, unsure what to do with his new loot. He didn't really see a use for anything in the bag except for the food but he was thankful for it anyways.

Nova's eyes widened in shock as the blush deepened, she say anything when Gateguard ran back outside for more wood they didn't really need.

Someting floated past Gategaurd, he lunged after the float sponsor gift and read the tag.

Youn love, isn't it sweet?~

Gategaurd nearly chucked the sponsor gift at the ground in humilation.

The Wolf barked happily then rolled onto his back, exposing his stomach to Julian for belly rubs.

After a moment where he finally calmed down, Gateguard picked up the gift and turned it over in his hands. It was one of those pocket things that people would use in case they got caught in an avalanche so that they could have a steady air supply for a short amount of time. He didn't know why he was gifted something like this, but he stowed the small packet away and crumpled up the note in embarrassment.

Tempest walks outside. She had spent most of the day yesterday asleep. But now her powers were finally at full power it again. It felt good. She lifts her chin into the air and shuts her eyes. She simply stands there sun-bathing. It was a nice distraction from what was really going on

The ground suddenly started to quake. An earthquake wasn't normal in Block World. . .

Harlow was out with the twins trying to gain some pep when the quaking caught her off gaurd. Harlow bolted towards the house with the twins, to her horror the hosue was coming down. Azar was trying to blast the door open but a large piece of rubble knocked her out. Leaf coughed and gasped out her hand weaking hitting the door, it was jammed from rubble and wouldn't open either way. "Harlow!" Leaf was crying, realizing that she wasn't getting out of this alive. "Harlow! I'm sorry! I love you! Please take care of the twins!"

(everyone that's getting taken to the capital get trapped somehow, like if you're in a house have it block the exits.)

"Leaf no!" Harlow shouts. She drops to her knees, desperately watching in horror as the house crumples down on her. She clutches the twins against her. "It's okay, it's okay" she whispers to them. Tears fall down her face. Leaf was dead, and there was nothing she could do about it.

Tempest cries out in horror, the quaks make her stumble, the power of it makes her fall onto the ground. She is about to shapeshift when the ground suddenly opens up underneath her. She falls down a short distance, but she ends up hitting her head on a rock on the way down. She lays on the bottom motionless. The only sign that she was alive was the gentle rise and fall of her chest. Blood pours out of the wound on the side of her head.

Chakti felt the ground shaking. He sat up, then bolted, saying "Just a minute just a second" to Emmie. He was clearly running towards the village. He barely remembered where it was, but he knew enough that it was in a direction. He chose that direction and started to sprint, his knife in hand. He knew a little about earthquakes, enough that houses with freestanding roofs would collapse easily. His mind started to work, puzzling out everything and anything that could go wrong.

Upon arriving, his mind went into a panic. Collapsed houses, screaming and crying. He saw a head wound, the victim barely breathing. His face flushed and he ran over to Harlow, his eyes wild. "Are you alright?" He didn't know her name. "Can you help me with them?" He pointed to the head wound victim. Finally, he looked around. He knew one name: Leaf. His face went white. "Wh-where's..."

The grumbling of the ground made Adelaide stir awake, her head still stinging a bit from the antiseptic that Julian had applied earlier. It was as if the whole earth was displeased with something, and was just beginning to snarl its displeasure. The sound was like thunder; actual cracks appeared in the earth cracking ominously. They stretched toward the fallen girl like the claws of a great beast. Adelaide's entire body had not quite healed from her previous encounter with the mobs - an encounter she dearly regretted - she couldn't do much when one of the trees cast its shadow above her. It was a silhouette at first, so large that for a moment it eclipsed the sun. There was a large crash, and then...pain, pain like she'd never known sprouting from her legs and torso as part of the trunk mercilessly pinned her lower half to the ground. Weakness blotted out her vision as her body burned from the gleaning of new wounds. The last thing she remembered seeing was an exquisite moth landing on her brow.

Echo felt a shaking while he was staking out in the village. He was rather alarmed, jumping to his feet and running out. "What the heck is happening!" He hissed, before getting knocked to the ground by an NPC. He watched as the building near him started to collapse, and he struggled to scoot out of the way. His lower half was pinned underneath the blocky wood and he let out a pained cry.

Amari was trying to use her powers to keep off the ground, narrowly dodging a flying block. She was knocked off balance and went flying towards the ground, landing with a sickening crack. She let out a blood curdling scream as pain flooded her system.

Chakti looked at the collapsed house, the event suddenly obvious. Tears started to well in his eyes. He remembered names, then, as if out of the blue. "H-Harlow I..." He looked like somebody had just accused him of killing Leaf himself, his eyes dark and sullen, his face as white as a sheet. He kneeled down next to her, wrapping his arms around her in a probably unwelcome hug. He let go, then stood up and wiped his face, pulling out a small book from his back pocket. He flipped through it, then stopped on a page, raising a fist. His next words were almost haunting.

A fist to the sky for those who were strong
For those who were mighty
For those who moved on

A fist to the sky for those who have lost
For those who have thought
That they would be gone

He opened his hand into an open palm, as if waving to someone.

We wave to our ancestors
To guide them to their place
Among all the others
Who fell from Cliff's Face

We wave to their spirit
And bid them farewell
And hope that their journey
Will truly be swell

He brought his hand to his heart, his fist clenching the raggedy shirt he was wearing.

Julian had lunged to grab Adelaide's hand the moment a shadow was cast over them, skirting off the side to avoid being trapped by the crashing earth. He screamed her name, muscles straining as the trees holding up the sky began to kneel to the power of nature and Julian had to make a choice. Save himself and leave Adelaide, or help her a potentially be crushed under the crashing of wood around him. The choice was clear. Pressing three fingers to his chest and before lifting them into the air, Julian nimbly doged another falling tree and ran, scrambling away to get to safety amongst the raging terrain

Already on his way back to Nova when the earthquake began, a rumbling growl as the earth raged and shook beneath his feet. He stumbled, twisting his ankle as the moving ground swayed under his feet, cuts and scrapes littering his limbs as he began to sprint back to Nova, desperate calls of her name cutting through his panic. His vision tunneled as adrenaline rushed through his blood, fueling his crazed escape back to safety, ignoring everything around him as he tripped and rolled back towards his ally. Crashing headfirst into something solid yet giving, soft yet undeniably alive. Panting as he tried to regain his concentration, a sharp hissing cut through his deafening heartbeat, freezing everything in place as a bright light surrounding a camoflaouged body blinded him. A scream of agony sang in harmony to the loud explosion that accompanied it, the violently shaking earth toppling trees as dust began to build over the source of the noise, a canon shot firing in the distance

Harlow shakes her head. "No" she sobs. She doesn't want this to be true. But Chakti had seen the same thing she had seen, there is no possible way Leaf survived this. "Please..I don't want this to be true.." she whispers. She turns away from the rumble, barley even feeling it when Chakti hugged her. His words are just backround noise to her. A ringing feels her ears and she suddenly feels like she is going to faint. She sits down again so that this doesn't happen.

Chakti pocketed the book again, then closed his eyes, whispering a different chant, one he knew by memory. Once he was finished, he planted a kiss on the top of Harlow's head. Not one that suggested anything between them, but something to try and comfort her. He whispered to her, "We'll bury her, give her a proper funeral. Alright? It's not going to be okay, I know, but we can make it through this is we link arms and stand tall. Alright? I promise. We're going to make this ceremonial, instead of just a heap of rubble. I'll do it myself if I have to. But I swear, on my family and my life, that this won't sit as rubble. We'll find the perfect place for her, and bury her properly, even if it's just to make sure her spirit gets to rest. Alright?" He, a sixteen year old, was shockingly serious when he said that. He shed a few more tears, then began to clear away the excess rubble, trying to limit it to as little meaningless cobblestone as possible around Leaf's final resting place.

The twins in Harlow's arms were howling both scared and confused. They couldn't understand what was going on but only knew they were scared, and they wanted momma Leaf. Harlow could feel the fear reverbertaing between Sage and Willow.

Rita, Kyu, and Scarlet managed to get out of thier housees as the quakes inteinseifed. When Scarlet saw that both Leaf and Azar weren't with Harlow she started to run to the house screaming out their names but Kyu stopped her. "Scarlet, there's little chance that they could've surived that." Tears pricking her eyes, Scarlet shook her head in denyal insisting that they had to have until Rita finally held Scarlett close to her to console her.

Leaf could hear Harlow's shouts and sobs, she reached a hand out trying to reach the door but being pinned under the rubble she could do nothing. Then she realized that she could move some slowly Leaf was able to wiggle her way out and was about to head towards the door when she spotted Azar being burried. Making a rather rash desicon, the new mother made her way to Azar refusing to let her die and pulled her into her lap just as the rubble blocked the door with loud crashing. All she could do was hold Azar in her arms and wait for the quakes to stop. "Harlow! If you can hear me I'm here!"

"GATEGUARD!" Nova exited the house and bolted towards him, screaming his name, she found him and grabbed his hands. "I got you! Just hold on! I'll-" but Gategaurd didn't get to hear Nova finish her sentance, another quake ripped Nova's hands from his and to his horror Nova was slammed into the house and knocked out. He glanced next to him and saw that it was dead creeper.

(Everyone finish your reactions, the next ones will be the tributes being transported to the Capital/District 13.)

Harlow hears Leaf's cry, but she thinks that she imagined it. Tears fall down her face as she tries to calm Sage and Willow down. She doesn't have the special motherly connection that Leaf has. So it's quite difficult to do this.

Chakti continued to tear away at the stone. He had barely heard Leaf's voice before, but he would recognize it if he heard it again. He took a resting break, his arms already worn out. He looked at the rubble, then decided, No. Not just from around. I will recover her, and we will give her a proper funeral. He stood up again, then closed his eyes as he thought he heard Leaf's voice. He whispered, ever so slightly, "Rest for now, spirit. We'll give you a permanent bed soon." He pulled at enormous chunks, his teeth gritted and his body pushing it's limits. I will get this done. An hour! Yes, and hour! On my life and family, I swear, I will have this finished in an hour! He continued to tear at the cobblestone and roof splinters, his muscles quivering against the amount of work he was pushing on them.

"Damn it." Gateguard croaked, coughing as liquid filled his lungs. So this was how he was going to die, swallowed by the raging earth, bleeding out pathetically. His eyes pricked with tears as he felt blood crawling out from various wounds on his body, sending a silent apology to the heavens. "I'm sorry, Avenir... Shion... Everyone... Seems like I wasn't strong enough." He thought as his eyes fluttered shut, succumbing to the airheaded loss of blood

Molly had been out of the village when the earthquake struck and was pressed against the walls, hands shaking as he forced a tree against the cobblestone, holding him in a protective pocket. His arms were beginning to give out though so in a final last ditch attempt, Molly wrenched the tree away from himself, using his ability to carve out a safe area for himself where he was in no danger of being trapped in

Leaf opens her mouth to call out again but coughs instead. Suddenly the arena begins to break down. Trees light on fire, the ground itself explodes, all the mobs glitch and flicker in and out of reality, the fake arena sky bursts open and two hovercrafts suddenly materialize and swoop in. One hover craft snatches all of the triburtes excluding Tempest, Emmie, Arelian, Leaf, Azar, and Gategaurd. Those six tributes were quickly snatched up by the other then

The Capital

Azar woke up to findherself in a cube like cell with electricy jolting around it to prevent escape, Leaf was in it with her and everyone else was paired up. Tempest with Gateguard and Emmei with Arelian. Everyone was wearing a thin hospital gown that replaced their arena outfit.

District 13

Nova woke up in a hospital bed and she blinked confused. Wasn't she just in the arena? She swung her legs out of bed and found them strong and steady. She looked at the other tributes and noted that Tempest, Emmie, Arelian, Leaf, Azar, and Gategaurd were missing. Cursing under her breath she stormed out and found someone who she reconised from 13 and started giving them a peice of her own mind.

(Everyone can start waking up in either 13 or the Capital, I plan on leaving this as a cliff hanger pretty soon)
