Supernatueral HG 2
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Supernatueral HG 2Everyone slept the night away, and morning came burning up the undead mobs. Nova sat up in her bed and yawned, today would be a strange day for sure. For one there were a few endermen running around moving soem ground and placing it in another spot because they could. She got up and rubbed her eyes, making breakfast.
Julian sighed as he watched the sun rise on yet another day. he had a hard time surviving, mostly sleeping in the day and fighting off hoards at night. His wife's balm was a godsend but he knew he couldn't rely on it forever. Twirling his trident, he frowned as it looked like it was close to breaking once again. He might have to sneak into the career camp and grab another one to repair the current one with. Staying in the swamp area was his best bet though, there weren't any other tributes here that he could tell.
The closer he walked to the sound, the more he noticed a foul stench, the order slapping him in the face as he recoiled. Good Lord, what happened to generate such an awful smell? He knew swamps usually didn't smell very pleasant but this was impossible just to dismiss as a natural phenomenon. In his haste, he nearly stepped on Adelaide's hand, stopping right before his foot could land. Unfortunately, this meant that he slipped and lost his balance, sent sprawling on the muddy swap floor. Groaning as he sat up and spat some dirt out, Julian quickly beany over Adelaide and turned her over on her back. "Oi, you okay?" He asked gruffly, one hand still gripping his trident.
Rita still lay sleeping in her bed with Scarlet, Kyu was in her house sleeping as well, and Leaf and Harlow were curled around eachother as the twins lay sleeping in their cribs. Willow started to cry, rousing Harlow but not Leaf as she was still trying to recover some of her energy from yesterday's crazyness.
Molly was still sprawled out on his bed snoring lightly as he slept the day away. He didn't like waking up early, and there was a sense of safety and tranquility to the village that made him comfortable with sleeping so unguarded
Julian was surprised at how easily Adelaide resigned herself to being carried but put that down as some lingering trust from the previous game. Though, he did appreciate it as it meant that travel was that much easier. The pair didn't run into any real threats as they made it back to Julian's camp, just a few spiders that simply scuttled past them. Once the undergrowth opened up to a proper body of water, Julian set his fellow tribute down on the ground and riffled around in his tribute bag. He had a first aid kit which would suffice in treating Adelaide's wounds but the first thing to do would be to clean her up. "Hold your breath." He warned, drawing pure water out from the swampy lake and giving her ample time to brace for impact before dumping the water all over her.
A drowned zombie was slowly swimming closer to Julian and his temporay ally, it gurgled and groaned, signifing its precense.
"Not now..." Julian sighed, picking up his trident. Hurling the weapon, Julian watched as the zombie was pushed back by the sudden intrusion of metal piercing rotten flesh before dissolving into a pile of dust. A few seconds passed before the trident returned to his hand, looking slightly more battered.
There was suddenly a girl's scream not to far from where Julian was followed by a creeper's explosin, shortly after a canon blast and whimpering. Someone was still alive.
Julian wanted to sigh. He had thought that the swamps was a peaceful place where not many tributes would run into but he was apparently dead wrong if today's events were to go by. "Stay here, I'll be back soon." He sighed, holding his trident as he slunk over to the noise
Another cannon blast rang out as Julain stumbled upon a horror show of a scene. The boys from Seven lay dead on the ground in a large pool of their own blood, however, girl from District 10 is lying in the dirt in a pool of her own blood. The creepers failed to dmage anything vital when they exploded, so she is slowly bleeding to death out from where her legs used to be. She looked up at Julain and he gasped out slightly, she looked like hes daughter Ariel. “Please…” she whispers. “Please help me.”
Julian kneeled next to her and held her hand, there’s nothing he can think to say. She is beyond his help, anyone's help most likely. All that can be done is to be here for comfort. "My name’s Julinan."
“Amy Hanes.” Her voice is barely a whisper. “Help me, Julian. Help me die.” The pain in her eyes reinforces her meaning. She doesn’t want a hand to hold as she dies slowly. She wants a hand to get the job done swiftly. Julian takes a spare knife out of the left shoulder belt. It’s eighteen inches at least. He holds the tip against the gap between her shoulder and collarbone. He looked into her eyes once more to be certain.
“Yes… please…” She breathes. Without another moment’s hesitation he pushed the knife in hard and fast. As her body stiffens he grasped her hand again. He didn't dare let go until her muscles relax, her gaze fades, and the cannon fires. He placed her hands crossways over her chest and close her eyes for her. He then takes her pack, which is heavy knowing she'd want him to have it for some reason.
Honestly, he didn't register that the girl looked like his Ariel until the deed was done, the revelation sinking down into his stomach like a rock. Covering his mouth, the stench of blood hung thickly around him as he clumsily hefted the bag up and stumbled away from the scene, still holding the knife used to kill the girl. Did he feel guilt over slaying someone who bore such a close resemblance to one of his loves? Not particularly, but it did make him uncomfortable enough with the situation that his hand returned to his locket, thumb rubbing over the carved out pattern. Making it back to his camp, Julian had composed himself enough to look like nothing had affected him as he set the heavy bag down beside Adelaide
