Nodding in understanding, Hyde was about to thank Taiko before the thud interrupted him. "Well, I think that might have been what I was looking for." He huffed, amused that the seemingly perfect timing. "Thanks though! If you're ever injured again, just come to me and I can heal you up real quick." He bid cheerily, clambering to his feet. Brushing off the invisible dust that had clung to his scrawny and scarred legs, Hyde waved goodbye to Taiko and began to jog towards where he had heard the thud. His skin was itching again, screaming for a good fight to be found. Ruthlessly shoving that part of him down, Hyde kept his focus on finding the source of that sound and investigating.

By now, despite his habits of eating like a rabbit, Xaiver had finished his food. Mumbling a thank you to Alex, he got up and quietly left. He could continue wandering the halls, but training seemed to appeal to him then. As he teleported in short "leaps" to quickly make it there, he could've sworn he heard a loud noise. Pausing near the entrance to the training room, he noticed Hyde leaving. Was he investigating the noise? It wasn't really Xaiver's business, though he was tempted to figure it out himself. Better not. Xavier hardly left the building anymore, and he was smart enough to know he would be lost in about 10 minutes if he did leave.

Teleporting into the training room, Xaiver dug into his pocket for a minutte. There! Pulling out a knife from his pocket, he flicked it open, considering the blade for a minute. It wasn't much, but beggars can't be choosers. Gripping the knife with one hand, he moved his arm quickly, ducking and dodging around an imaginary opponent. Using his teleportation, he was quick on his feet and able to keep the "opponent" guessing. Maybe it was silly, but he realized how energizing this was. After awhile, he sat down to stop. The use of his mutation and the extertion had tired him out. His mind, still just as active, immiadiently went to the strange noise. What in the world could it be?

Once Raelyn had finished her food, she pulled her black cloak over her and walked away. Kyra immediately followed, but stopped upon hearing the noise. She stopped, making her turn “What is it, Kyra? Oh.....ok then” Raelyn followed her wolf to the gates, and sat down. If anyone was there, she would know.

Faith looked to Lucy. "Do you think we should follow her?" Faith asked quietly. "If she's telling the truth, we could rest there and plan to get back at Benton."

Benton pushed a button on the side of Coraline's container and the walls started closing in on the inkling. In order to escape, she quickly changed into her squid form and swam up the walls, unfortunately, that's what Benton had wanted and caught her mid-jump as she attempted to escape again. Pressing on one of the large tentacles forced the Inkling to change back into her Inkling form, whereupon she stared daggers at Benton. "Aiee!" Benton just chuckled in amusement, but that was cut off short with a cry of pain when Coraline, who was fed up with his testing, sank her teeth/fangs into his hand, causing a bit of blood to flow. "Fah-wadede!"

*Lucy looked at Faith and whispered* I dont know, but just in case, *Lucy held up the gun* the safety's off *Lucy looked at Ripley* Take us to your base

*Benton threw the inkling back into its cell and pressed a button, shocking it. He looked at his hand and clutched it before running out of the room. The inkling looked around slightly hopelessly before seeing something out of the corner of her eye. It was a little girl, holding a teddy bear with her left hand*

Seeing Ripley's nervous face, Faith tried to give her an assuring look, hoping that she would understand that they were just scared having gone through so much in a short time span. In order to lessen the nerves, Faith tried to hold a friendly conversation with her. "So, how long have you been at the base for. . .I never got your name."

For a moment it was just the two girls, Eve and Coraline, Coraline and Eve. Suddenly Coralne's cage sprang back to life* as the electricity jumped around the cage. The cyan Inkling inside gave a blood-curdling scream and while it was mostly Inkling vocals, it was still clear that it was hurting her. A small tank on the side was filling with cyan ink, Eve realized that the Inkling child was getting drained of her ink, for something. Eve pulled back her fist and smashed it through the glass after several attempts and the cyan Inkling collapsed in exhaustion.

Naturally, several alarms went off as Eve picked up Coraline.

Raelyn sat up straight. The someone, or something, was drawing closer and closer. She didn’t like that. She took out her switchblade, and prepared to fight, if needed

*Ripley turned and began walking on the path. Faith sped up and asked her a question* My names Ripley. I've been at the base since the Rev9 outbreak started. Stumbled upon it and its inhabitants and have been there ever since. *Both Faith and Ripley were awkwardly silent for many moments until Ripley looked at her* When I stumbled across the graves, I noticed that one was marked. Who was Maddy?

Flay watched the commotion outside through a small opening, uninterested in moving from her position. She could go out there and join them... or she could just stay here, not having to endure more pain than she already had to. Yeah... the second option was better... The bandages covering her unusual wounds would fall off if she moved around too much anyways... She had her head against the walls of the truck while looking into the opening, making it look like she was asleep. She absentmindedly stared at the 3 as the weird gun threatening went on, unsure of what she was supposed to be doing. While staring into oblivion, a few words managed to reach her, words such as “base”, “Ripley”, and “Benton”. The rest of the words were left in the sea her head was swimming in, unable to make its way to her. Not like it mattered... She didn’t need to know anyways... She couldn’t even let out a sigh, not even a reaction to the sudden burst of pain all over her body.

"Maddy was our friend. She died saving us from MT so that we could stop Dr. Money and Benton from killing what's left of humanity." Faith admitted truthfully, her voice held pain, which meant that Maddy was more than a friend.

*Ripley looked down* I'm sorry for your loss... *Every now and then, Ripley would turn her head and look at Lucy. Despite the little light that shined through the trees, her skin was glowing. Ripley smirked alittle every time before focusing back on the road ahead*

As the group went along Faith kept looking around, trying to spot the base, but no dice. "How many of you are at the base already?"

Eve and Coraline had managed to escape but Coraline took a bullet in the leg doing so after they had been cornered. But at least Coraline had her splat weapons back! The exhausted Inkling was being carried by Eve so Coraline could rest some. Eve faintly heard voices and trudged toward them, only to trip over an uprooted tree root and the two ended up tumbling until they were near Ripley, Lucy, and Faith. Both crashing into a tree. "Aw-dway-squid. . ."

Faith looked towards the crash and tensed up. "What was that?"

She watched as a cyan figure, along with a darker looking person, tumbled down the hill they were near. We’re they running from something? Did they just happen to fall down? We’re they ok? The tumbleweed duo had caught the attention of her two allies and the newcomer, who turned their heads to look in response.

*As the group neared the exit of the woods, Ripley's wings began to catch on the tree braches* A few of us live at the base. We got a message about a group from Wisconsin was coming but, that was over a month ago. *Ripley then fell silent* Rumors are that some... thing tore them to pieces *Ripley then heard movement in the bushes, as did Faith. She began to walk closer but then jumped back when she saw Coraline*

Coraline and Eve stumbled out of the bushes, with the former collapsing to the ground from both dizziness and her injury. "Ai wen-mee. . ." Eve slowly helped Coraline to her feet then when she saw Ripley and the group froze. Lucy suddenly turned the gun to them "Aiee!"

"Lucy don't!" Faith begged. "They're just kids! I think she's hurt, the cyan one." Blood oozed from the inkling's leg wound.

Ryan had quickly vanished from the kitchen to avoid having to do any cleaning or repairing. The man had an uncanny ability to disappear when responsibilities arose. Now, he was wandering the halls of the structure, digging deeper and deeper into the belly of the base. Now, he came to a dead end, hundreds of lefts and rights leading him to that point. Letting out a laugh, Ryan clapped his hand, regretting it as he felt his ribs crack and his skull rattle, his body slamming into the wall. A large fireball had erupted from his palms when he clapped, scorching stone walls and incinerating his shirt and pride. A loud boom echoed through the hallways, although Speirs couldn't hear them due to the ringing in his ears. Noted: Never clap again. He didn't want to move, his entire body hurting from the impact and the scorching blast.

*Lucy put the gun in her back pocket and ran over to help Coraline.* I'm not gonna hurt you. *Lucy slowly picked up Coraline and held her hand out to Eve.* Come on little one.

*Ripley looked around and began to walk out of the trees until she reached a clearing. She then saw the base, built into the mountain side. She turned around and spoke to the group* We're here!

*Back at Benton's outpost, Benton stood looking at the ink that lead to a hole in the wall. He touched it with his bandaged hand and spoke with a furious tone* How did it escape... *The guard behind him began to speak. His face was covered with the ink, along with his uniform* We dont know sir. But whatever helped it tripped one of the sensors. *Benton's ears perked up. He whispered to himself* The girl... *Benton wiped around* I want them found, and brought to me. *The guard nodded and turned around* Dead or alive, corporal!

Eve hesitated, but seeing the injured Coraline already being hefted up into Lucy's arms, gently took the outstretched hand. Faith gently took the injured Inkling from Lucy so that the latter had more freedom to move if needed. As the group approached the base Faith looked up. "It does exist." Faith gave Lucy a hope-filled gaze. "We could stay here, we could live a life without running."

Noel heard the gates open and looked down to see Ripley along with Faith and Co. Inwardly flinching Noel raced down the stairs until she reached the entrance. "Ripley? Who are these people?"

Rounding the corner, Hyde's lips thinned into a line when he saw the ragtag group of people. The stench of iron assaulted Hyde's more sensitive nose and he had to fight back a grimace. there was someone hurt among that group and Hyde's gaze flickered towards the small squid like creature nestled in Faith's arms. That little one seemed to be the most injured from what he could parse from a glace and he moved forward only to be stoped when Noel came bursting out of the compound. Not wanting to disturb the group, Hyde slowly inched back into the shadowy covers. He would wait for now then, see if he was needed or not. And who knows, if this group turned out to be hostiles, then Hyde could maybe get a good fight out of it too
