*That's what all of the electronic posters said. They portrayed Modthos as such a developed region, where everyone gets along. But that wasn't true, only Valentine City was developed enough to have the monorails, everywhere else was just to unstable due to the landscape and weather. But no one outside the city cared. As usual...*

Myla hummed happily to herself, with Memphis sitting alongside. It was a good day, and Myla was in an even better mood. As the scenery moved along, Memphis joined her humming, which made her giggle. When Myla pulled to a stop, she glanced at the map that Memphis was holding. "Oh dear.." she looked at the map a moment longer, than around her. "It appears as if we have to walk.." Getting out of the car, Memphis hopped out and stood beside her. "But I don't know this area very well.." Making a decision in her mind, Myla stuffed the map in her pocket, and with a determined grin, said, "I'm sure we'll figure it out, Memphis!" Memphis grinned. "Mime, Mime!"

A car pulled up in another location, well...perhaps it would be beter to say it was a taxi of sorts. A boy stepped out of the taxi and thanked the driver, paying him before letting his two pokemon out. Forrest looked around at his pokemon. Selvo the Tropius was already happily foying about in the tropical air, Hira the Alolan Vulpix was doing surprisingly well too. Perhaps it was due to the thinner coat she had.
“Another place to be...” Forrest murmured to Hira, who came over and jumped into his arms. He chuckled softly when she started to nose and nuzzle his cheek. “You really are sweet, aren’t you?” He looked up at Selvo who was still taking in the sun and air, but he eventually flew down to him. The Tropius had been with him much longer then Hira.
“Enjoying the sun, eh Selvo?” He smiled as he petted the Tropius’ head. He looked around once more...well, now it was a matter of finding the place he needed to go to...

*Inside the base, an alarm rang out from inside one of the rooms. Reyna opened her eyes and tiredly looked around her room. Her room was dark and mostly empty, with the exception of her Crustle who was sleeping in the corner of the room and some clothes that were on the floor. As she became more awake, she slapped her alarm, making it stop ringing. Reyna sat up in her bed and spoke aloud.* Serena, blinds. *A computer voice rang throughout her room. It was the soft voice of a human, but it still sounded emotionless* Opening blinds *The blinds opened in Reyna's room and she stood up and she began to walk in her PJ's.* Serena, TV *The voice spoke again* Television on *As the TV turned on, a lady dressed in a suit began to speak sorrowfully* -erts, and Melanie Richard's are just a few more if the over 3 dozen people who have vanished in the last 3 weeks.

*Reyna listened to the television as she walked into the bathroom and undressed herself before walking into the shower and turning on the water. A screen came out of the wall and continued playing the news to Reyna. After a few minutes, Reyna turned off the water, and stepped out of the shower, drying herself off first before wrapping a towel around her body and hair. She picked up her PJ's and spoke again* Serena Laundry. *The voice spoke once more before the clothes were grabbed by a metal arm and pulled into the wall* Starting Laundry. *Reyna walked through the base and back into her room, where another screen popped out of the wall and continued playing the news* Serena, TV off. *The voice spoke* Turning off television. *The tv turned off and went back into the wall and Reyna layed on her bed, looking up at the ceiling. The she rubbed her face* Crap, today's Tuesday.

*Reyna lowered her hand and sprawled her arms out on her bed. She then felt something nudging her bed. She looked down and saw her Crustle looking at her. She smiled and spoke to it* Hey buddy, you want something to eat? *Crustle nodded his head and spoke happily. She laughed alittle and stood up* Let me just get changed buddy. We got some new recruits coming in today. *Crustle happily exclaimed alittle before walking out of the room and towards the kitchen. Reyna's smile then slowly faded. She took a few deep breaths in and out before standing up and closing the door to get changed*

Just another day, just another boring week. There wasn’t much Kali could do these days, everything bored her out of her mind. Well, that’s what she would normally think. Today was different, well at least she hoped so. Today was the day that she was supposed to go somewhere new. The Pokémon Rangers, they called it, were something that had caught her interest, leading her to join it. Today she was traveling with her pokemon to go and meet them. As soon as her day begun, she hopped into the shower then got changed. It was going to be quite a long ride seeing how far it was from her house to town. She told her parents goodbye, but struggled to get away from her over enthusiastic father. She would normally take the car, but today she wanted to have some fun. As soon as she stepped out of the house, she took Flygon’s pokeball off of her belt and sent him out. “Hey Ryuk, wanna do some flying today?” A playful grin appeared on her face as she said that, followed by the happy squeal of her loyal dragon. She put a saddle-like device on Ryuk, then hopped on. She had only done this a few times before, so she still had to make sure she didn’t make a mistake. “Alright buddy, time to go.”

The kid was riding his skarmory to the pokemon range's hq. "Today's the day i'm gonna become a ranger!" He was not even ten feet of the ground, just flying fast. "Just gotta make it to keltin first." He pat his skarmory's iron like skin.

Rather than going by car, the girl dressed in white was riding her Dragonair to the base she'd been informed off. Him having recently evolved, the serpentine creature was enjoying carrying his trainer around, and Spiri rather enjoyed the thrill of flying. The wind in her face, blowing through her hair, it was an odd chill, but she didn't feel cold, despite how fast they were going, the air rushing under her coat, all she felt was the freedom, it was amazing! She figured she'd enjoy the ride before arriving for her first day on the job as a ranger. Knowing there wouldn't be much time for fun like this. She had taken care to train her Leafeon and Dragonair for this, so they'd come into play for the various jobs she may need to perform in the workplace.

Glancing at her GPS, it appeared they were getting close. Her travel device was a sort of watch on her arm, that way she wouldn't have to release her death grip on her dragon type's scales. The last thing she needed was a fall from this height, Lucky, her Dragonair, didn't need to worry about catching his trainer from a possibly fatal plummet, him still being rather new to carrying a rider.

Miru and his weavile were walking around. Well, more specifically, Miru is walking around, the weavile is on top of him, looking around.
"See anything that's sticking out?" Miru asked, with the weavile pointing at a building. "That's a mart." Miru says after seeing what they were pointing to. "I think that's, like, the third one you've seen?" he continues, before realizing. "Wait, have we been going in circles? The buildings next to it are oddly familiar... Yeah, we've been going in circles. Let's just buy a map, that'll make this way easier." The weavile nods.

He landed in front of the ranger's hq on his skarmory. "Were here." the pet the metallic skin of his pokemon then hopped off. "Weren't there other sign ups, should we wait?" He asked his skarmory. "Skar" {no} "Okay, let's wait." he sat down "Ska-" {what} the skarmory sat down.

Jay walked up the hill, gengar at her side. She took in the view, while her gengar hid her from sight. She kept walking, and she tripped over nothing and fell down. Gengar immediately used heal pulse for her. “I know gengar! You don’t have to keep telling me.” She said huffing.

Amari stood by the hill, just barely considered to still be in Keltan town. Her Salazzle stood by her side, one arm placed on the ground in the typical posture. The girl lightly squinted as she stared at the path ahead of her. She hoped it didn't stretch on too long, Amari had to admit she was a little nervous, she doubted she could calm down at this point. Shaking her head, the brown-haired girl started to trudge towards the outpost, her toes scraping on the ground before being picked up in her rather lazy stride. Nova followed Amari before quickly overtaking her, staying in the lead.

Jay got back up, and kept walking. “I’m nervous gengar. What if I do something wrong? I know I’m just gonna mess up!” She looked at gengar, and nodded as she understood what he was saying. “You’re right. I shouldn’t worry about it. I’m still just a newbie.” She said agreeing with him.

Echo arrived in Keltan Town alongside Scarlett, her pokemon. “D’you think this is the right place, Scar?” She asked, pointing to a hill on the map that she had just bought. Scarlett studied the map, before turning to her trainer and nodding. With a swish of her tails, she pranced off into the distance, before turning back and pausing, guesturing for Echo to follow her.

Jay saw Echo up ahead, and whispered to gengar. “Hide me!” Gengar did so, and she walked passed Echo to get a better look at her.

Echo paused, and tensed up a little, looking around her. “Something’s off, Scar, but I don’t know what” She mumbled softly to her pokemon. Scarlett nuzzled her head against Echo. “Mmm, you’re right, I should stop worrying. It’s probably just my lack of social interaction this past month. Although....never mind”

Jay bent over to look at Scarlett. “Hi there!” She said as gengar stepped away from her to hug Scarlett. Jay realized what gengar had done. “Gengar! You meanie!” She huffed crossing her arms like she was still two years old.

Echo studied Jay, sizing them up. “Are you a friend or a foe?” She asked, before turning to Scarlett and clicking her tongue disapprovingly. “Scar, be CAREFUL” Scarlett turned to her, and rolled her eyes, as if to say ‘stop worrying’

Ellie stepped out of the monorail holding her Eevee, Cream, in her arms and looked up at the base. This was it, right? She checked the map again on her Rotom phone. Yep. This was it. Pressing the same button she used to access her map closed the map and she made her way over. Cream had wiggled free from her arms and onto her hat, where she perched as she watched the base come into view.

Ellie had mentally lamented that she had to leave her Galar team in her PC but if there were new Pokemon here, she needed room, she had promised to take them out later for some Curry and playtime if given the chancee.

After a while of flying, Kali began to notice that Flygon wasn’t doing so hot. She considered stopping to take a break, but thought about how they might’ve been to their destination. Wait a minute... She looked down at her phone and saw that she was only a few yards away. Her eyes lit up with joy, knowing that their flight had finally come to an end. The looming dark shadow in the sky began to become bigger and bigger, not only that but the shape became more defined as they landed. They had descended at the foot of the hill, away from where everyone was just in case. “We made it... Feelin alright Ryuk?” She had turned her head to face her Flygon, who replied with a slow nod as he heavily breathed. “Alright, I’ll give you a rest...” she smiled and returned her flyer to the pokeball and made her way to the top. She saw 2 people quite a ways away, one with a gengar and one with... was that a ninetails? A moment of admiration shone on her face before returning to a settled stare. She didn’t want to interact with them just yet...

Echo felt someone staring, watching her interaction with Jay and gengar. She was quite sure that they couldn’t hear the conversation. Scarlett nudged her, telling her to stop being so tense, and to open up a little. Echo gave a little hmph, before kneeling down to give gengar a berry
