Gengar looked at it closely and carefully took it. He looked to Jay for reassurance, and Jay nodded. “Depends. I’m Jay, this is Gengar. Are you going to Keltan Town to join the rangers? I am.” She said briskly barely making eye contact.

Echo nodded “Yes, I’m going to join the rangers. And don’t worry, I don’t hurt Pokemon. Though I give you fair warning, you hurt any of my Pokémon and I’ll haunt you to your dying day” Echo said, a hint of a smile on her face. “We should be going, there’s still a short walk before we actually reach the outpost, come on Scar, let’s go” And with that, she walked off

Spiri's GPS tracker beeped. It seemed they were closing in; somewhere just over the building that they were supposed to end up. Lucky hovered on the spot for a second, and Spiri, still hanging on for dear life, only hoped she could make this landing smoothly, this being her first flight on the young dragonair. It had gone well so far, so she tried to reassure herself with that fact. Taking a deep breath, she commanded her Pokémon. "Okay Lucky." She began slowly to the shiny pink and gold dragon. "Let's head down, nice and easy. Remember I might not be able to hold on if you go too fast." The dragon grunted in response, Spiri could almost imagine feeling the warm air rushing out of his nostrils as he breathed, and angling his body ever so slightly downward, he began his decent toward the location in a rather awkward spiral. As they went down, Spiri's blue eyes detected a pair of figures that appeared to be human. Perhaps they were recruits as well? Seemed she would find out soon enough.

Jay had gengar hide her again and she followed Echo. “Don’t get distracted this time!” She hissed to gengar. Gengar kept up with Jay as she followed Echo. She finally figured out where she was, and left to go find her own way.

Myla nodded determinedly. "Right then, come on Memphis!" She gestured for Mr. Mime to follow her, and the two of them started forward. Myla glanced up, seeing the tall hill. Looking down at her partner, she grinned. "Whaddya say we try that big ole hill over there, huh?" Memphis nodded. "Mime!" So, they began making their way up the hill. Myla was starting to lose her breath, but with Memphis's help, they continued up. Myla spotted the pair also making their way up the hill. New people? The girl loved meeting people and making friends even more. They must be here to become Rangers as well. "Yoo-hoo!" she said, waving enthusiastically. Memphis, who was just as happy to see them, waved as well. Myla changed her direction slightly to catch up with them, Memphis following loyaly.


Myla noticed the two other pokemon as she got a bit closer. A Gengar, and a Ninetales? Myla loved all pokemon, but those were especially pretty. She had to stifle the urge to give them a giant hug because they weren't her pokemon. She placed one hand on the Pokeball attached to her belt, where a certain Abomosnow lay sleeping. Nancy would love to meet them as well, though the Ninetales might make her nervous so Myla would keep her in the Pokeball for now.


Memphis was so happy that he got to walk with Myla. She was so cool! The Mr. Mime tried to swing his arms exactly like his trainer, so that he was perfectly mimicking her movements. Not only was it a normal habit of Mr. Mimes to do so, but Memphis admired Myla a lot, so he tried to act just like her. He had no idea what they were doing, but he knew Myla was excited, and if she was excited, then so was he! When Memphis saw the other pokemon, he was a bit more excited. Just as Myla loved meeting new people, Memphis loved meeting new Pokemon! And these ones were super cool.

“Come now Selvo...we better hurry.” With Hira in Forrest’s arms, the trio began making their way thtoughout throughout the area. Eventually they spotted a large hill and the trio knew that this must be their destination at last...
Selvo then nudged Forrest for him to climb onto his back. Forrest was reluctant in burdening his pokemon but Selvo deftly got the two on his back and they began to fly up the hill. Empowered by the tropical sun, Selvo flew higher and higher up the hill, casting a shadow on the ground as they flew up the hill.
Forrest took the opportunity to take in the sights on the ground below. He had always marvelled about how everything looked as though it was a visual map on the table, or perhaps a model town below. He did spy a girl with a Galarian Mr. Mime as they flew higher but he said nary a word, as he gently put a hand on the Tropius, and they were now getting close to reaching the HQ at the top

The sound of another familiar Pokémon caught her attention, turning her around to look at the girl with a cheerful Mr. Mime. She’d seen her fair share of Mr. Mime before, so it was easy to tell that it was trying to copy its trainer. It was nice to know that the recruits she would be with were good with Pokémon. A yawn left her mouth as she stretched in the sunlight, taking in the view of the hill. She had gotten up far too early for this... Well, couldn’t be helped. The distance from the hilltop to the HQ made her groan a little. Come on... more traveling? This time she had to get there on her own two feet, which made it even more agonizing. She took a step forward, then another, then another. Soon she was in full sprint, heading straight to the base.

When receiving a blunt ignorance from the two girls, Myla was a little hurt, but she recovered quickly as usual. After a muttered, "tough crowd, huh Memphis?" She fixed her face into a smile. "Well, there's plenty of other chances to get to know them, I'm sure of it!" Myla's slow but steady pace had gotten her to a point where the HQ was looming over, and getting closer and closer. "There it is, our destination!" she said cheerfully to Memphis, who responded with an enthusiastic, "Mime, Mime!" The two of them slowed down a bit once they reached the entrance, and Myla plopped down in the grass, Memphis doing the same. "Guess we wait until something happens.." Myla felt uncharacteristically shy and hesitated. Mr. Mime placed one of its strange hands on Myla's knee, and Myla glanced back at her faithful friend and grinned. "You always know how to cheer me up, huh Memphy?" Memphis laughed, a strange sound since it sounded more like a warbled, "Mime!"


Memphis was just as tired and eagerly plopped down on the ground next to his trainer. Though he was a Psychic-type, it was the close connection between the two that allowed him to realize how nervous Myla was. Memphis didn't want to see his faithful friend unhappy, so he knew he would have to cheer her up. A lot of ideas went through his mind, but he decided to go with a simple gesture. It seemed to do the trick, and it made Memphis giddy with happiness to see the mood change.

The serpent landed its scaly form on the top of the hill. It's head hit the ground first, and slowly, the rest of his body. He may be a first time when it came to carrying his master, but Lucky was no newbie to smooth landings, having done this even as a dratini. He lifted her slender neck off the ground as she slithered closer to the HQ building, before giving his master the signal to get off, panting from the effort of the long flight.

Spiri gently patted the side of Lucky's neck as she allowed the dragon to rest after the ride. "That was amazing, buddy." She praised him softly. She'd always been proud of the Pokémon she'd hatched from mere eggs. Especially Lucky, as she had named him after hearing his coloring was extremely rare, called shiny. Not to say she viewed the Dragonair as more special than her other pokemon. Speaking of which...she raised a red capsule from her pocket, pressing the button on the center. "Come on out, Breeze!" She commanded her second partner. In a flash of light, a Leafeon emerged from the pokéball. It let out a cry of joy and nuzzled its trainer.

"Oh no, oh no, oh no! I'm late!" Fleur said worried, "My literal FIRST DAY and I'm LATE" She ran to her new school confused. "Flabebe!" said her pokemon, Cloud. She ran, hoping to find or bump into someone when she saw someone with a gangar. "hello" she said to the people

“Gengar! Hurry! We’re gonna be late!” She said as gengar stopped hiding her. They ran towards the building in front of them to reach the rangers station.

*From inside the outpost, Reyna could hear the new recruits. She walked towards the door to let the recruits inside but stopped about a foot away from it. She took deep breaths in and out and muttered to herself.* Put on a happy face, Reyna. Put on a happy face *After a minute of coaxing herself, Reyna looked at the door and smiled before reaching out her hand and opening the door* Welcome new recruits!

Jay flinched back and gengar leaped in front of her scolding Reyna. “It’s okay gengar.” She reached her hand to shake Reyna’s hand. “I’m Jay, and this is gengar.” She explained.

Hearing the sound of the door opening, Myla scrambled to her feet, brushing the grass off. Memphis did the same but ended with a little bounce of his feet. He looked to Myla, unsure of what to do next. Myla herself was rather nervous, but that nervousness was mixed with excitement as she saw someone step out. Obviously, this person was a leader of some kind. Myla wasn't a braggart, but she prided herself on her ability to see at least some of people. She folded her hands behind her back, unsure whether or not to make her presence know. For now, she settled on remaining still and waiting for further instructions.


Seeing Myla's face light up, Memphis also came to his feet. He could feel that she was nervous, but did not try to comfort her this time since her eyes were glued on the human that had come through the door. He shifted his eyes to the human, but pokemon were the ones that caught the happy little Mime's attention, so he tried to contain his energy for Myla's sake, and remained still as well.

Myla noticed that the Gengar was greeting her friend, so she turned her head a little to smile at the Gengar, and give a tiny wave with the tips of her fingers. She recognized the pokemon as the one who had ignored them earlier, but Myla didn't believe in first impressions. Everyone should have a chance to really prove themselves. Maybe they just hadn't heard her! She went back to her straight-backed position, but this time, she cleared her throat and said, "Well, er, my name is Myla, and this goofball," she jabbed a thumb at Mr. Mime with a grin, "is Memphis."


Memphis realized that the Gengar was shaking his hand. At first, he wanted to be like Myla, and remain still, but he was so happy that he was meeting a new pokemon, that with both of his three-fingered hands, he shook the Gengar's enthusiastically. He was simply over the moon to be interacting with another pokemon, so the shake was a little agressive.

*Reyna looked at them all, and while smiling motioned them in* Come on in, let's get you all into the living room. *Reyna stepped aside and pointed down the hall* Its the 5th room on your right! *The new recruits began to make their way inside, each of them smiling and greeting Reyna. One of whom put their hand out as well, but Reyna ignored it.*

Gengar was rattled by the handshake and stepped to tell Jay about them. Jay turned and noticed them. “Hi. My name is Jay, and this is Gengar. He’s a little protective.” She explained as she walked over, her hands behind her back, not exactly smiling, but not exactly frowning either.

Forrest would put a hand on Selvo as he walked through the headquarters. His expression was fairly neutral, reserved. His pokemon walked beside him, as they followed through without complaint. They seemed to know that this was fairly serious. Forrest saw the girl with the Mr. Mime from earlier as he was flying through the sky. Now there was also someone with a Gengar. Still he saw no need to talk unless approached, and he continued to follow Reyna
