Title: Suggestion

A [cancel scavenger hunt] button would be helpful to those that see they cannot improve their time.

Yes, the fastest time will count for the leaderboard, but there is something nerve-wracking about the timer counting down and being helpless to stop it.

Except for restart, can it just be cancel? Restart just restarts the hunt, I would rather just stop the hunt altogether then restart it. Right now I pressed it to see what it does, and it must be a pain for the servers even though I'm not trying the 2nd time till the love meter goal so it's just a random timer going on for nothing.

People often think the PH sprites are bland. Do they shade? Well, yes they do. You'll be surprised how much care is taken for these sprites.

Uh whut? O.o for me the button does exactly that: cancel the hunt. It doesn't automatically start a new one.

Are you sure you want to cancel this scavenger hunt? Eggs obtained, hatched and evolved during your current round will not count for your next hunt.

Oh! I just noticed: you have to leave the page after signing up before clicking the Restart button. Otherwise it will indeed just restart and not cancel it.

I like the notion of a challenging event.

That said, if an event in the future is styled after this one, I would suggest the inability to use rare candies so that it's more fair for all users and not just those who can and will drop pd to secure their ranking.

Maybe instead of having the event include leveling, have the competition be for those who hatch their eggs the fastest. This would require site-wide support and provide a more even playing field in my opinion.

All in all, this was a rather creative event and I can't wait to see what the hard working team behind PokeHeroes has for us in the future.

I know it's probably to late to change this anyway, but I was wondering why does the second prize go to an awkward amount of people? Like 2-30 is just such a random amount of people and not to mention beating them is a very unrealistic goal for most, I think top 100 should be better or at least top 50. Also, I haven't been ranked yet and I have no idea what my time will be so I am NOT saying this to get a prize for myself, I just think it's more realistic and fair.

Considering the fact that 2-30 is for a mega able event and we only have around 350 people participating (meaning everyone gets an event), I honestly think it should go to less people. The point isn't to make it accessible to everyone, it's meant to be hard to get.

@perithotC137 This has nothing to do with popularity. Just try to be online now and then even if it is only for a few minutes and interact a bit. I recommend the clicklists...

@SilverStar 350 is not the number of people that are participating, it's the number of people that have already finished and even then it's already grown to over 400 right now. And even if the Event is trying to be difficult instead of fun or interesting as many events are, that still doesn't change the fact that beating around 1 hour and a half is fairly unrealistic and practically impossible for those that don't have advantages such as Premium and Rare Candies. Sorry for disproving you, but these are just the facts.

Edit: Just checked again and now the unrealistic time to beat to get top 30 and get the only other actual prize, is now just 48 minutes, so good luck with that

Plus... Popularity definitely does play a role in this event. If you have more people who have added you, then more people will click you going through the 'friendslist' clicklist, whether you're online or not. Plus, that also means more people seeing your interaction exchange posts, which again means more people giving your 'mons berries. You'll still get clicks if you're not popular, sure -- but popularity is 100% a big boost in something like this. (Which isn't anything that could be fixed anyhow, it's just a fact of life. The more popular you are, the more people there are helping you out when you ask them to. It's not a bad thing, I just don't see how people can claim it has no role whatsoever in how fast you finish the event?)

Pretty much. If you're not swimming in Rare Candies, don't even bother trying to go for top 30.

With my best attempt, Premium + Flute + 2x Day still only got me a time of 1:30:38. The only way I could've squeezed it down any more than that was if I had gotten every egg in the Tall Grass on the first click.

Pretty much, honestly I probably would've done nothing with the mega able since I'm not a rich user that can grab mega stones but yeah, if you're not rich. Don't bother trying to get to the top 30. I'm mean, if you're not in the top 30 it doesn't even matter if you are in the 600s. Which also brings up a point that maybe next scavenger hunt it could look like this:


1-Shiny Mega able Event+Mega Stone
2-30 Mega able Event+Mega Stone
31-50 Shiny Event
51-100 Event+100k PD
100-200 Event+95k PD
201-300 Event+90k PD
301-400 Event+85k PD
401-500 Event+80k PD
501-600 Event+75k PD
601-750 Event+50k PD

Does it take some time for the leaderboard to update? I recently just finished somewhere in between 60-70 hours (my memory is terrible, I just know it was 60 something), but it still says my best time is 102 hours.

It should update automatically, or at least a few minutes when getting a new score. You may have found a glitch.
