PH has been my home for 3 years now and never meet so many people I could be friends with and such warm community that felt missing from PFQ. Mods here were actually kind and ready to help and not sounding cold. Lately I have been sad about PH not being as active as it used to be...it is true that what keeps people in touch with a site are events and new things rather than a nice community. Let's do more events that doesn't need to involve spriters and mods to work on but rather the people themselves such as...writing/drawing contests...making event ourselves like we did a few years ago (like 2 maybe) and such. In one words, official PH contests since they are so rare...

Interacting for events is fun but a change is welcomed.

I think a factor for people leaving and stuff could be because PH (like a lot of events) is based a lot on interactions, which are time consuming and incredibly boring. I myself have missed out on events just because I couldn't force myself to do all that clicking. I was really happy when other methods to gain AP were introduced, but it still stayed as the dominant part of the events, not to mention a lot of other things circle around interacting. If that could somehow be changed, like there would be an alternative thing to do to make your eggs hatch/pokes grow, I think more people would stay because growing your pokes when you don't have that much time to be online and hurt your fingers/mouse would be a lot easier.

Whats funny is I just stumbled across PH's subreddit. Just an idea, but maybe someone should post in r/pokemon about PH, that subreddit is very active and we may gain new members by posting there.

-New things. You do a great job with the Events and such, but what about new games, puzzles, banners (the ones that you choose from settings). It's just looked the same for too long. Time to freshen things up a bit.

-Better Daycare. I for one, have hated Shiny hunting. I don't like using gems, as typically, what you get out of it is less than what you put in, so it's a great loss of money. Perhaps the more interactions you make a day, the more eggs you get? You can still have the chance per 15 minutes for those who can't be that active, but, as you said, you would like to reward your active players and encourage them to stay. This would be great for that. To add an interesting little twist, you could make it to where every so often while you're doing interactions, you have a chance to receive an egg of what you're hunting. This would greatly increase the Interactions, hence increasing the eggs in Daycare, and, therefore, increasing the eggs in Tall Grass from those who just can't handle them all.

-Tall Grass should probably get a remake. It's very frustrating to wait an hour to attempt for a Starter, and try every hour to maybe get one a day. Yes, I know it's supposed to be hard, but this seems a bit much. An hour is fine for Starters, just need to make it slightly easier. A few extra eggs a day shouldn't be that much of a game changer and greatly helps the community in general.

-Shelter? I know you've said that you can't delete a lot of accounts (permabanned and the like) because it would greatly interfere with the database. Well, adding a Shelter that you can release all those Pokemon to before deleting the accounts should get you around that issue. But then you still have the ones that were given away. Well, you could change the OT of those Pokemon to either yourself or their current owner. That would disrupt a lot of Perfect Pairs, but it's not really that hard to find them. The Shelter would also provide a spot for others to acquire the Pokemon they need for Dex without having to trade. There should, of course, be a daily limit.

Ive probably had 2 breaks over the last 2 years my account has been active. I completely forgot about Pokeheroes during that time because of irl stuff, but one day i just missed everyone and remembered everything and came back - and each time i come back im so happy that i did.
Pokeheroes has one of the best communities i know of, and ive never had a single problem with Pokeheroes or the players. The community is amazing and sometimes i even see old friends coming on again and its amazing.

It's worth looking into the Hero chat. From what I see there's literally nobody active there even though it has so much potential. On another game I played people would play PH and have another tab open with chat at all times. There was a section for advertising trading and selling, one to discuss the game in general, one for random topics, and the option to PM someone just by clicking their name. Which was super useful to organize trades which would really boost the PH economy I think. Also generally connects people, allows you to make friends etc.

Some things on PH are also probably a bit too tedious, you get 4 PD per interaction, so after 10,000 clicks you have about 40k PD which is really nothing. Yes you can interact 10k a day if you spend a lot of time, but most people are too busy to spend their time doing something so tedious. I agree offering decent daily rewards depending on how much you interact, something small for 100 interactions, something better for 500 etc. Like Mystery Boxes would be pretty cool, or a small amount of nuggets for many interactions. Same with the Game center, the rewards are honestly quite bad besides the Legendary dogs. The shinies are basically impossible to obtain. It has much more potential if you change things up a bit.

Also the Lottery, at this point Lugia is basically not worth spending 500k game chips for a small chance to get it. Maybe have a random Event egg voucher everyday instead, and make it easier to win?

Small changes and some things that change everyday would really go a long way in keeping people interested and logging in.

I like that
But I think PH should feel more like a rewarding game and not just aimlessly getting Pokemon
It need to give satisfaction on regular rates
Because right now the only things you can do in PH game wise is
1)Finish a Dex
2)Shiny hunt
3)Rowan quests

There needs to be some kind of pace in my opinion
Something to keep people invested and feel like they are making progress
Cuz right now
After the tutorial you are left clueless just aimlessly collecting Pokes
This just makes people lose intreast

Also the battle system is not really used too much since its really minimal and lackluster
The only reason to use the battle system is rare candies
There should be improvements

Emera square and beach are fun thing to do,adding more stuff there would be cool too but ain't necessary

Last note,it might just be me but maybe route 53 feels just like a long waiting game,low reward

I remember having to go inactive for awhile because there was a lot of personal stuff going on. And actually when I was feeling the most down, I got an email saying Pokeheros missed me. And it lifted my mood a bit and made me feel like I mattered. I've tried to be on everyday ever since then. I have a few friends and I will tell them about Pokeheros.

I think upgrading the battle system is a good idea. Honestly I would suggest looking into this suggestion. I think it's quite a promising proposition.

I do hope that we reach the milestones.

I joined this place almost a year ago, and right after the tutorial I forgot about it. But I didn’t become active again until I was banned from pfq. When I was banned from pfq, I felt like I had a hole in my heart, then I remembered this place, so I decided to do something on it. Riako, I honestly don’t think that it is your fault that PH is inactive, but are fault as users. Some users leave for different reasons, like, maybe they just didn’t find time, or, maybe they just didn’t like this site. It would be nice for this place to be more active though, then I could do a rp and not wait for hours for somebody to respond to my post :).

I hope only inactive starter accounts are getting deleted; I sometimes stop playing online games for a year or even multiple years but I always come back eventually...I don't want my account getting deleted if I take one of those breaks here :(

Today I became three years old in PH and I see a really big difference between then and now, I really want PH to be like all those old days, I even miss being spammed by notifications. Currently PH is starting to be boring because there's nothing to do so adding the features suggested below would make PH more interesting.

We will never deleted accounts of players that have at least finished their tutorial or shown any kind of interest in this game :)

I like pokemon

most people ask themselves whats left to do once i complete a dex.........
heres my suggestion and it also involes the pokedex.....
when you hatch a certain pokemon lets say charmander for instance the dex updates with it has being in your dex, regardless if its male/female or shiny.
maybe riako can expand on the dex so we get a slot for each possible version, charmander male, charmander female, charmander shiny male, charmander shiny female, charmander mega male, charmander mega female, charmander shiny mega male and charmander shiny mega female. this then opens up the world of collecting even more pokemon. i don't know much about coding but i think its just a matter of putting some if then factors in so only a particular one fits in each dex entry.
