PokéHeroes Oscars

I am your host Lavender, here to introduce and present this spectacular event. Last year's Oscars, I was lucky enough to be nominated for 3 different categories even if I didn't win any, so I'm very excited to have the chance to present the Oscars this year. We had many wonderful entries last year, and many more this time around. We've seen many a story unfold, even some still going to this day. This past year has been amazing for the PokéHeroes literary community, and now we're here to recognize that talent. The categories receiving an Oscar will be...

Now, we will begin in a few minutes so people can get on, so for now, just remember... Do not post on here unless you get an award, in which you have 2 minutes to make your post. You may post when the event is over, however. Also, if you win, you will be sent your trophy within the next few hours, so be patient.

Title: Darkest Scene

Many good stories have a scene that truly wrecks the reader; it sends chills up their spine. These scenes are a rip back to reality, showing us that not everything is sunshine and rainbows. While they aren't exactly the most horrific things we read, sometimes that's what truly makes them seem dark.

Congratulations! In the beginning of your story, we saw a family that seemed happy and alive together, but then reality hit all to real when you revealed what the world outside was truly like. Good job pulling at our heartstrings there.

Title: Most Promising Story

Not everyones story is complete. Some people still have so many things they want to do in life, and in this case, they literally aren't. Just because a story isn't finished, doesn't mean it isn't good. Many leave us wanting more, and these stories truly hit their mark.

Title: Best Original Fanfiction

It takes a lot to write a story. It takes even more to come up with your own. To be able to build up your own world, create a whole cast of characters, and keep people invested is very difficult; it takes a certain kind of person. That being said...

You had many great stories to choose from, but this one really hit home. It brought forth a slue of emotions, and it really stood out. Keep doing what you're doing!

Title: Best Written Character

Characters. Every story has them, but only certain people can truly write a good character. It must have emotion, seem like it could be a real person and not just have a robotic personality (unless that's what they're going for).

Its hard to write one good character, but to control multiple, and well? It was difficult I'm sure, but your performance in the roleplay really made it feel like we were seeing multiple different stories, all from one brilliant mind. Can't wait to see more!

Title: Best Group Roleplay Performance

It's definitely great to see each and every persons performance in roleplays, and their unique take on their story, but the group performances are where they truly shine. Those that work together, as cliche as it sounds, are the ones who stand on top.

Best Story and Best Rolplayer!

So honestly, my hands hurt from typing so much, XD. So to help me announce the final awards, I thought, who better then a roleplayer who, in their hay day, was considered by me some to be one of the best roleplayers on Pokeheroes as well as the most intimidating person I've ever known. They won a few of their own, and were nominated for many more. Here, to announce the winners of the awards for Best Fanfiction and Best Roleplay, back from the dead, RoyalGecko!

Hello everyone, its been a while, thats on me cus I decided I needed to have some ice cream so I had to grab some ice cream for myself becausewhy not. So I'd first like to thank Smells for inviting my back to present the next two awards. Now while they changed alot for this show some of which got on my nerves lol, that doesn't stop the fact that I, a person who was gone for almost a year, has absolutely 0 idea about anything that happened with fanfictions and roleplays, XD, full honesty, I dont even know who half the people who were nominated are. But, that doesnt change the impact these people had on the sites roleplaying and fanfiction communities.

For Best Story, the user who created this years recipient of the award is a veteran writter who I cannot wait to roleplay with eventually. When I was leaving, they were just beginning. Daiko, congratulations for making this story and being this years "Best Story Best Fanfiction" recipient!

Ah yes, now for my favorite award. The one im most familiar with being a multi award winner not to brag *brushes off shoulder". Best Roleplayer. The winner of this award, perhaps to fill the hole I left when I left PH, decided to begin roleplaying. And what an amazing decision. Serendibite, when I left you had big shoes to fill. And fill them you have, and because of that, you have been named for the first time in your career, "Best Roleplayer". Hopefully a sign of the bright future in your PH Roleplaying career!

Thank you very much RoyalGecko, for that humble announcement and for calling me smells. its Lavender smh. Congratulations to all our winners, and our nominees as well! As our event comes to a close, I just want to leave you all hopeful. We may have announced our winners here, but that doesn't mean it's the end. Even if you weren't nominated, or if you didn't win, that doesn't matter. You all have potential. You don't need a dumb award show online to tell you that. Keep doing what you want. May you can win next year, maybe not. But as long as you have fun or enjoy what you do, don't worry about what others think.

OH MY GOODNESS WE WON SOMETHING!!
I cannot believe we won in the 10 minute timeframe I had to go do something else so I was away and couldn’t make my victory speech then

As the Owner of Loosing it all (as Trope has stated they no longer are or want to be associated with it :(( ) I am super happy for all of us in the *squints* 30 pages that got read out of (as of when I am writing) 1028 pages I am so sorry you barely scratched the surface it’s like the iceberg meme.

Of course we couldn’t have won without EVERYONE IN IT so even to those who have left the roleplay during the 4 months due to whatever, thank you for being apart of it! And expect more to come! Literally. We are still roleplaying to this minute. And to those who haven’t made their debut yet from those 30 pages, you are also equally cool bc :))

Hallo! It was cool to be nominated, and even if I didn't win, it was cool to be a part of this! My rock buddy 100% deserved both awards she got, I don't have much of an opinion on the rest of you but congrats I guess.



Don't count me out yet though, I'm aiming for that Oscar next year!

Ahhh, thank you both so much. It was very kind of you to consider our roleplay, and I'm grateful for all the consideration you showed towards us. Next year, guys, we'll rip the Danganroleplay apart, and mash it together into something that we can challenge y'all with! We will do it, be warned.

Great job on all the Oscars, everyone. It's really exciting to see the culmination of all these different stories that you've constructed with one another. To have your work acknowledged is an amazing thing, and all of you really deserved it. Most of us have roleplayed together before, and I've had to level up a ton to stand with you guys.

I'm looking at you, Daiko. You monster. THE ANGST HURTS, OKAY? We're going to find a way to steal your angsting one day, then there'll be no escape from the consequences of OC torment. You will face the reckoning.

Congrats to Scaramouche and the rest of their team, along with a declaration of war. The Oscar was well-earned, and you should honestly be really proud of what you achieved. 1000 pages- that, is terrifying. We all kinda knew that yours had this one the bag, because my god, your roleplay is just out of our league entirely. We could still hope though, lol. Again, congratulations- and a personal declaration of war! Looking forward to more content of the Best Roleplay of the Year.

Winning those oscars was just, like, such an experience. In the beginning, we of the Danganronpa roleplay were all excitedly talking about the Oscars in our GC. Tem mentioned zeir nomination and we all slowly lost hope. "None of us have a chance, then." we all thought. "Even Sprigatito's amazing Kowai confession scene only got a nomination." As we watched fantastic roleplayers come up in each of the categories, we decided it was a lost cause. Half of us went offline.

Then the "Best Character" category came up. The one I was really looking forward to, and honestly the only one I thought I had a chance on. And it was two of us who were considered. Reading it, was just like- I swear to god, I threw myself at the earth and I was frantically texting my friend a second later. "I WON IT I WON IT I WON IT-"

And then to see the Danganronpa roleplay nominated. It was just such an experience to see it there, next to Losing it All of all things. And to see the different familiar names pop up- oh my god, it was like- the past year had just been thrown in our face. Seeing Rainbow and Daiko and all these different people who we know and have created stories with- it really felt like a 2021-2022 Oscars. We were the roleplayers of this year. And this is the best of what we've made.

When I saw myself given the Best Roleplayer award, I went braindead for a minute. I couldn't believe that I got that. I think there are a lot of roleplayers better than me- Sprigatito and Hunterz~Wolf and soda~ just to name a few-, but seeing that, I just- I shut down for a bit, and then I wrote a feed about it.

This was honestly an amazing experience for me. Thank you both for hosting the Oscars of this year, and all that you appreciated us for. I am really, really happy about this.

See you all next year. Let's try and be the people the old roleplayers were for us when we started, now that we've been here a while.
