I don’t really know what happened but yesterday my about me was a okay...... But right now it looks like it deleted itself help!? No one else has access to my account so it’s not possible for somebody to delete it. So ummmm, a little info about it would help thanks!

Non-mods usually don't comment here... But I'll help. :) maybe you accidentally deleted it? Have you shared passwords with anybody? And are you sure it deleted is deleted? The best thing that you can do is retype it though...

It happened to me too, and I'd like to know what happened as soon as possible. I thought maybe Riako reduced the amount you could fit in the about me, but I see no update posts/feeds about it. So I'm assuming it's a bug too. I just updated mine, so I was annoyed to see half of it erased. I am not typing that again unless I know it's 100% fixed. Any info would be nice? And thanks as well, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I thought I got hacked, to be honest.

My About Me and Art Commissions list were fine, but my Prized Pokemon box was cut off after a certain point

(Just testing some theories here)
My About Me is 362 characters long (346 without spaces)
My Art Commissions list is 1070 characters long (966 without spaces)
My Prized Pokemon was cut off at 427 characters long (383 without spaces)

There goes that theory x3

Mine was also affected, but it seems to only happen after a certain amount of lines/characters. Mine was deleted halfway into the spoiler tag, but luckily the rest of my About Me was short enough to remember what went next. I could then edit it with no issues, and it's stayed corrected since.

It might probably be a good idea to copy your About Me somewhere...
Riako's probably just adjusting some minor things about the custom layouts. :o

My about be was affected as well, luckily I had a previous version saved so was a minor fix for me on my part.

My about me is broken as well. My rules are just gone. I didn't delete them. I was at school when I realized that. I thought maybe the Internet here is bad but now at home it's just gone.
Everything except the image is gone.

Some extra details might help!

Did it happen to all your costum panels or only one? If so, which one (as shown below).


Which BBcode tags were used in this panel?

Was it just cut off at some point (start stayed intact) or were there just parts missing (end stayed intact).

Hope it doesn't happen again ^^

P.S.: It could've just been a misclick of Riako, so it could be that it's a one time thing & not a real bug

Mine has a different problem but it isn't showing the images below. It still shows the images that were underneath but now they are in the about me and require scrolling. Also it won't let me edit it.

I guess my "About Me" custom panel has gotten 98% erased as well.. since all what's left was at least the first 4 words or so in my BBCode thingie. :,(

I didn't see any changes or deletions from my other panels only on THAT custom panel..

I think that was the panel where it was previously used as the first "About Me" before the profile update.

I already updated my custom panel.. no abrupt changes so far. :B

So, maybe it's not really a major bug or just a random one-time thing? :O

But, it is kinda annoying that it happened.. especially if you didn't have the whole thing of your custom panel's BBCodes saved. :S

EDIT :

I think my profile BBCode got cut off starting at the "é" symbol.. :(

The issue is currently being investigated.
When you change your Custom Panel back to the text that it had before, did any errors occur or was it possible to properly "recover" it?

For me, i could fully recover it without any further errors.
The thing is, that not every custom box (just the ones with a lot of URLs) had a error for me (even though most of my custom boxes hat the same codes and stuff).

So, I've had this happen as well [and could recover the panels/code without error], but from what I noticed from the affected panels, they all were fairly long and had Spoiler-tag.
My other long panel [future hunts] has no spoiler-code and was unaffected, despite being longer than the affected About Me [which did have spoiler-code].

Could the spoiler-tags have anything to do with it?

My about me and plushie collecting Custom Panel was also completely (except a few words) deleted,

Nope, I don’t think so. My about me didn’t had even a single spoiler in it just like now but it was full of words but no spoilers, even then my while about me and Plushie Collecting Custom Panel was deleted.

This happened to me as well, and I was able to redo it without any issue.

It only affected my costum panels that had the right-code and the size-code. One of my panels got cut right before the size-code started, so the part before the size-code didn't seem affected at all. While my other panel (which started with a right-code) got erased entirely.
The center-code didn't have an effect in this tho.

One of my custom panels was affected as well. The "Plushie Collections" panel, to be precise.

For me, it got cut off right before the "é" in Flabébé. So, it basically said:

[center]I collect [b]Amelia[/b], [b]Glameow[/b], [b]Sharpedo[/b], [b]Wynaut[/b],
[b]Litten[/b], [b]Flab


Redoing it was possible without any further issues.

Can anyone else confirm that the panels were cut off at a special characters (such as an é or a Unicode symbol like an emoticon or a heart)?
