This is a remake of the original Final Flare. The general plot will be the same, but it will be played with a much smaller group, and will be organized far more nicely than before. Thank you for paying a visit!

Kalos is in a crisis.

Team Flare, led by Lysandre Blumiere and his team of scientists, has just set off a weapon thought to have been destroyed 3,000 years ago; powered by the legendary Pokémon of destruction, Yveltal. With a blast of radiant energy to the heavens, Team Flare has almost entirely desolated Kalos, and the rest of the world is now on a timer. It's only a matter of time before the sheer destructive energy from Yveltal leeches into the other regions and eliminates them too.

But not all hope has been lost yet.

Fearful for their potential capture, the other legendaries of the world know better than to get involved themselves. Instead, they sought the noble, the pure of heart. A group of seemingly-inconspicuous trainers, who they believe could restore the Pokémon world to the state it was meant to be in. Saved from oblivion, these trainers must race against time itself to find Xerneas or Zygarde in order to reverse the approaching end.

2. While there is not a hard maximum amount of characters you can play, you aren't recommended to take more than one. This is so the group doesn't get too large at any given point.
2a. Character death may occur during the roleplay. You are free to prepare a backup character should this occur.

3. You are allowed to play as either OCs or canon Pokémon characters. OCs are preferred, however.

4. Team Flare members will not be allowed at all for this run of Final Flare. This is to keep everyone in the same general area and group.

5. Legendary and mythical Pokémon are not permitted on teams; Ultra Beasts, however, are allowed, but must first be cleared with sleepynebby.
5a. The only exception to this rule is the manmade legendaries/mythicals. Mewtwo, Genesect, Type:Null/Silvally and Magearna will be allowed if there is precedent for the character to have them. (Such as a Team Plasma scientist having a Genesect.) This will need to be cleared with sleepynebby as well; and only one of these Pokémon will be able to be present in the group at once.

6. One-liners are heavily discouraged. Roleplayers are encouraged to type, at minimum, five sentences per post.

7. As mentioned in Rule 2a, character death may occur during Final Flare Reborn. This will not happen to any roleplayer unwilling to kill off their character. Please discuss with sleepynebby before jumping to character death.

8. While the themes of this roleplay are grim, it is asked that you keep this PG-13. No swearing, as per site rules, keep it SFW.

9. You are allowed to stylize your submission differently than the base format. As long as all information remains consistent between the template and your submission, everything is fine.

10. There is no password to join the roleplay. By signing up, it's expected that you have read all of the information provided in this forum.

Xerneas and Zygarde need to be found, and Yveltal is under the control of Team Flare.

blessing notes:
kyurem's absofusion
- when a pokemon faints within shohei's line of sight, shohei can reactively absorb some of their power; taking on their moveset, ability, and typing and effectively replacing that one pokemon in the fight.
- his appearance will subtly change based off of the species hes taking power from.
- this effect ends either when he is knocked out, the pokemon is healed, or he ends it himself.
- every time he uses it, it's as if a part of his soul is ripped away. if he uses it too much, or if he uses it on a pokemon that is too powerful, he risks becoming a 'husk'; a hollow, void entity who will endlessly seek a permanent source of power.

- god a bpd diagnosis wouldnt fix him. but it would help explain whats going on with him
- has vague associations with team galactic due to his parents being former galactic scientists

Tapu Lele
Natural Blessing: Just like how Tapu Lele sheds healing scales, Dezerae is capable of volunteering her blood or a few strands of her hair to supplement berries in healing potions. However, the nature of her remedy depends on Dezerae's emotions and feelings towards the afflicted. If malignant feelings reside within her breast, the remedy may turn toxic. So you're either going to be fine in a few seconds or checking into the ER.
- Lowkey cult worshipped as a miracle healer in Pokémon Center. This may or may not turn into a God (Arceus) complex later on.
- That being said, what if the cure is worse than the disease?
- Wears long sleeves to hide the self-harm scars along her arms and hands.
- Much like Tapu Lele, Dezerae can become increasingly incensed when a patient's body rejects her remedies, and lashes out at those around her.
- Reasonably put off by the concept of death, and the recent mass-death in Kalos has rendered her almost catatonic as her mind tries to process it.
