Storage Box Background Drawing Contest

Howdy y'all!
Pokéheroes has a lot of images; big backgrounds, interesting banners, entertaining cows and so on. Of course, these are fairly obvious, but not every PokéHeroes image jumps from the page and draws your attention. Some of them are small touches that make you change the looks of PH just that little bit more to your liking.

Today, you'll get to add to those small touches to the site. More specifically, the Storage Box background! Music notes, cat/dog paws or some sparkles for shiny luck, there already are some options, but they might not fit everyone.

These are not one big image with a repeating pattern, they're one tiny tile, repeated through some Riako-coding. You can draw/design a tile and maybe it'll be added as a new possible background pattern!
I have included the current background tiles with the "Size requirement", to help you understand what exactly is meant in case my explanation isn't clear (:

Reward
Drawing itself can be entertaining, drawing with a chance to win something, adds that little edge of excitement. Aside from the wonderful feeling of winning, the five best designs will be available as a background for everyone's Storage Box. They will also receive a Flute Combo!
Anyone else who joined/qualified, but just missed out on the big prize, will get a participation prize as thanks for joining. You'll have to wait and see [and join] to know what it is ;)

Artwork Requirements
Accepted File Types: .PNG .JPEG .JPG
Image Size: up to 100 x 100 px (width x height)
You can use a smaller size, but it must be a square - like the ones we already have


Artwork Type: Digital, no transparency [final product]
Artwork Design: Enjoy yourself! There's no theme, but make sure it doesn't get overcrowded. It also needs to be recognizable even when not at full size. Also, make sure the pattern is repeatable and can be joined seamlessly. The best way to accomplish this, is a unicoloured background, no gradient and definitely no border around the edge.
There is also a limit to the number of entries you can send in. You can submit up to 5 Background tiles for voting. If you create more, only the first 5 will count, unless you specify otherwise.
File Upload: Please upload it to a website that doesn't delete it within the next 30 days and allows third-party viewing. (Recommended: tinypic.com, imgur.com)
Copyright: The artwork has to be drawn completely by you. You are not allowed to include images from other artists, including official art. (Pieces of) entries from previous contests also can't be (re)submitted.

What not to do: There is one official background that doesn't follow the criteria, so to avoid possible confusion, I'll show it here as an example of what NOT to submit.

- It's not square
- The long side is too long [101px]
(Yes, I check the size of every submission)
- The pattern is not repeatable
(there's a half snowflake on the right, that doesn't have a friend on the left side)


How to Enter

Entries should be sent through PM to CatLady. Put "Storage Box background Contest Entry" as the subject [without "]. Even if you have several entries, please don't change the title. I'll be able to see that you have several drawings (;

Also post a message in this forum thread saying "Entry/Entries submitted", indicating the number of tiles you submitted. You can always edit it later if you send more than 1 entry. This will help me keep track of who entered, without drowning in my PM-inbox ^^

Deadline
The deadline is January 28th, 23:59.
The winners will be chosen by us, the staff, based on quality.
The results should be revealed on the 4th of February.
