For a very long time, Cree was unseen. Since before the earthquake, and now he was nowhere to be seen, even in the water surrounding the island. However, something was noticeable: a body that Cree had thrown up tp the shore was... Was moving. The body Cree had thrown so far before the earthquake wasn't decaying, or even discolored. Instead, it was slowly standing up, stretching it's arms and legs, and freezing, staring out at the sea.

"Nothing just yet, we have to get everyone together" Tayla tells Moona. She glances out towards the shoreline, her eyes widening when she notices, what she believes, is an unaccounted for person. She quickly grabs her crossbow and approaches the body. "Hey!" She barks out. Stopping a few feet behind the body "who are you and why are you here!?"

The sudden voice drew the attention of the body, the face of Ace shining in the light, covered with moisture. In a single quick movement as he turn, he held out his hand and twisted it, sending a spiral of blinding light through the air, directly towards the crossbow. However, the attack had clearly been aimed at Tayla. Instead of striking her, though, it wrapped around the crossbow and twisted it violently, trying to rip the weapon away from Tayla's hands.

With Cree not present, the only other person that Ibaraki could trust was Tayla and so the moment she got up, Ibaraki followed with small feet hurrying after her. Due to the difference in their size, Ibaraki lagged behind but that turned out to be a saving grace when Ace suddenly attacked, making the child freeze. But when the small moment of shock passed, anger replaced it and Ibaraki snarled at the newcomer, staying a safe distance away from the pair yet ready to jump in if the situation called for it.

Tayla curses, immediately recognizing the danger of holding the weapon. She considers firing a shot at 'Ace' before realizing that, that would be too risky. Afterall, he could easily attack her while she was distracted by her weapon. Rather than drop it she throws it at Ace. With that momentary distraction, she glances around, hoping to find something to defend herself with.

She spots Ibaraki and freezes. What was he doing here? She knew that he was strong, but now that he was injured, she wasn't quite sure if he could fight Ace. He'd have a better chance than you. She releases a shaky breath. Ibaraki's best chances of either attacking Ace or fleeing would come down to him being distracted. She slowly bends down to pick up a stone and grins at Ace. "Is that the best you got!?" She asks. She circles around Ace, trying to get him to turn his back on Ibaraki. "That was pathetic."

The weapon struck Ace squarely in the chest, though his chest seemed to give instead of forcing the Tribute to step back. As Tayla circled, another odd reminder that Ace was not human arose: as the female Tribute circled, more eyes opened on the creature's head to watch her. Several different pupils and colors were tracking Tayla at all times, and more were fixed on Ibaraki and the environment around the collection. After a moment, Ace spoke. "This is not where you should be."

Moona, overhearing Tayla's shout ran over, stopping only a few feet from Tayla and Ace. Her wings were outstretched, ready to flee back to the house if needed.

"This is not where you should be."

"What do you mean?" Moona asked, her voice shaking. Was he referring to them as a team in whole? Or was he talking to himself?

Several eyes focused on Moona, their pupils contracting at the question. "I mean this in not where you should be." Raising an open hand, Ace stretched his fingers towards the sky, his palm straight ahead, then rotated the open palm ninety degrees. A small image appeared directly in front of Ace, who glared at it shortly after it appeared. "This is not where you should be."

Ibaraki's growls only grew, chest rumbling as the child inched forward to take a closer look at the image before it disappeared before any good look could be taken. This weird person's words made no sense but so much sense at the same time. This was not where Ibaraki should be. Really, Ibaraki should be with Cree and not with these weird tributes that the child didn't even remember most of the names of. But still, Tayla was someone Ibaraki tentatively had an alliance with so it would just be rude to leave her behind.

"Right, that makes a lot of sense" Tayla mumbles. "Care to elaborate what you mean by that?" She only glances away from Ace for a second to shoot Moona and Ibaraki a look that clearly says run. She didn't trust Ace one bit, still, she would have to hear him out. If she could get him to talk then maybe that would give Moona and Ibaraki a chance to flee. Where is Cree when you need him? Tayla wonders impatiently.

Ace spared no time in raising a single finger towards the sky, a single word spiraling out of his hidden mouth. "Point." Another bright flash shocked the air, extending out from Ace's fingertip and focusing in on one singular direction, a clear line from where the Beholder was to where he seemed to expect the others to go. Turning on his heel, Ace started walking away, directly towards the water's edge, following the bright line. "This is not where you should be." He sounded like a broken record.

Natalia frowns in confusion. “In case that boy is right, we need to prepare a quick escape, scout for any nearby islands maybe. We need to replenish supplies on the boat, lumber, cloth, rope, lamp oil, biscuits, water and things like that. We should start watches, with weapons ready and we have to be always prepared.” Faith turns to Ace, calling out “Where are you going to go?”

In response to Faith's question, Ace fell flat into the water when he reached about waist-depth. After a few moments, he started to drift away, taken by the tide as he adjusted his course every few seconds. However, he was stopped when a sudden flash of white threw the Beholder from the water and into the air, Ace's body going limp as it flew. When it impacted the water again, it was thrown back and forth by something similar to an enraged dog trying to win a tug of war. Shortly after, Ace's body went flying out into the sea, an arm severed from his body soon drifting back to shore. It had no blood leaking from the wound, not even a stain of red to be seen in the waters near the thrashing. Cree didn't appear above the surface of the water, and Ace was soon gone beyond the visible distance.

"Um? Is he dead?" Tayla asks while staring down at the severed arm. She shudders at the sight and turns back to face Faith. "We should leave. I don't feel comfortable staying here anymore. Both because of the Gamemakers and now Ace knowing our location. It can't be safe to stay here." She turns away from the water quickly, dreading the idea of returning to the boats. "We need to locate Cree before we leave." She picks up her fallen crossbow and returns to the house to inform the others on what just happened.

Charlie, hearing about scouting for near islands, had copied the map on their ship and rolled it out on the table.

Jeremy's face paled at the prospect of getting on the watercraft again. "Are you sure we have to get on the boat again?"

Glaring at the waters, Ibaraki let out another snarl and sat down firmly by the shore staring intensely at where Ace had disappeared. It was clear that the child didn't trust whatever had thrown the intruder around to properly kill Ace. The lack of a canon supported that theory and Ibaraki didn't want to see that weird tribute ever again. While the beholders distinct lack of humanity didn't phase the child, if anything it would convince Ibaraki to trust the other more, it was the way that Ace carried himself that simply rubbed Ibaraki the wrong way. So unless there was definitive proof that the tribute wouldn't bother Ibaraki's allies, the child would continue to sit watch and keep vigil for any other threats.

Faith sighs, before asking Jeremy “Do you like flying?” Natalia nods, moving supplies back into the boat, then picking up the Nightwalkers, putting them under some sort of shade-umbrella thing, so the sun wouldn’t hurt. “Cree? We’re leaving this island.” Natalia calls out, wherever Cree is. Faith turns to Charlie. “Is the house…umm…breakable? We should leave no trace of evidence behind.” Faith picks up the Nightwalkers from Natalia, as Natalia follows Tayla, collecting weapons along the way.

"I wouldn't know, I've never flown before," Jeremy admits as he felt his pockets for the acupuncture bracelets for his seasickness.

Charlie looked visibly miffed at the question of if the house was breakable, but she responded by holding up a flint and steel with a glum expression. The house was pretty sturdy, but without Faith and Natalia's charms, it was flamable.

“Do you want to try?” Faith asks Jeremy. While waiting for an answer, she noticed Charlie’s miffed look. Faith chuckles, giving Charlie a pat on the back. “I know, it’s hard losing something, well, anything. At least you have a choice, and can find rest knowing you did it for good. I may be a witch, but my house is definitely still flammable, and I never dreamt of it being harmed, so it was unprotected. My very distant aunt, Bellatrix, burnt my house down in hopes of killing my whole family.”
