Cree had not risen from the water at all, though there had been a bit of turbulence in the water when the boat had originally landed. From there, Cree had only been spotted as a flashing shape in the water; sometimes a few fish were thrown up to the beach, other times larger aquatic prey was seen along the shores. Other than that, nothing really brought much attention, up until now: the shape of a person was throw up to the shore, landing in the sand rather roughly, awaiting further inspection.
The boat drifting silently through the dark fog, just a small dinghy in the purple haze. Spires rose up around the concerned sailor, haunting sounds ringing out above them, a small set of shapes leaping from one spire to the next. What seemed to be a skeleton passed by overhead, a horrific omen of events likely to come. A sudden splash made the Tribute jump, what seemed to be a fish having leapt from the water and landed in the boat, flopping weakly. It had the basic idea of a fish to it, though it was covered in light blue metal plates, the small amounts of flesh between tainted purple. A sudden cry from some unknown beast up ahead drew their attention: Birds, manipulated just like the fish. Metal plates, purple flesh, no feathers... They still flew, though. They dove down, flying over the boat and screeching like the devil, one diving into the boat and exploding in a blast of metal and teal fire, setting the entire boat alight, including the poor soul aboard it. In response, the sailor leapt into the water, only to be greeted with something worse.. What felt like the stings of a massive wasp covered their body, their silent scream unheard as the fire still raged above and their skin slowly started to turn purple...

“Faith slept, but I didn’t.” Natalia says, before walking off towards to hut to get some sleep, indicating that the critter could follow if it wished. Faith had begun playing games with her critter, calling out a note, and getting the little creature to repeat the sound. She absentmindedly waved her wand, making oatmeal come out of nowhere, and putting it in a bowl

The creature with Faith repeated the notes back to her, like a mockingjay, it repeated the notes perfectly regardless of the range in crisp clear tones, but it couldn't repeat words.

The creature followed Natalia having to make itself smaller in order to fit into the hut, where Akane was already up. She was half awake until she noticed the creature behind Natalia. "Wait a minute is that-" Akane slowly approached it with a hand extended to pet it and it nuzzled her hand, giving consent as it made a light clicking sound, picking up on her fairy dust. "It is, it's a Nightwalker. I thought they went extict."

“Well, they didn’t, I suppose. Faith’s playing with one outside. I don’t suppose you could tell me more about it? It seems to like you rather a lot.” Natalia comments, watching the two interact, before catching the floating bowl of oatmeal that crashed through the door. “Thanks, Faith” She gestures to her friend outside. Faith holds out a round, shaped fruit. It smelled different to everybody, and to her it smelt like pine trees and lavender. She held the fruit out to the creature.

"Well for one they're incredibly docile, almost anyone can tame one and train it like a cat or dog," Akane stated scratching the head of the Nightwalker following Natalia. "They'll eat anything, but they love fairy dust and a special kind of rare berry called the Honey Star Berry."

"Wait, haven't I heard that name before?" Jeremy asked, just coming downstairs after not seeing Akane nearby. His messy mop of hair indicated that he had just woken up.

"They're small star-shaped berries that come in red, yellow, green, blue, purple, and white. It has a hard outer layer and a super soft, nearly chewy inside, like fruit snacks. Except they taste of the sweetest honey." As Akane spoke she brought up a hologram-like image above her hands. "When the berries are bunched they formed one singular iridescent star-shaped berry and the more that are added the bigger it gets. But that also being said, the more that are taken the smaller it becomes."

“Like this? Accio berry pouch!” She took out a singular, small case, inside of which were these three small berries. They’re really hard to find. I’ve only ever found two. One was a gift from my friend” Faith comments, walking into the house with the little Nightwalker trailing after her. She waves to Natalia and Jeremy, before waving her wand once more at the pot, preparing some hot, goopy stuff that tasted like oats and honeyed berries and nuts.

Akane nodded, "Yeah those are it."

The Nightwalker caught the faint scent of the berries inside the pouch and looking inside saw the berries. It in turn seemed to get excited and made an attempt to put its head in the bag, but Faith had moved the bag out of the way, making it miss.

Faith giggles at the Nightwalker trying to take the berries. “No, little one. These aren’t for you. Do they eat anything other than the berries and fairy dust?” She asked, while she picked up the wriggling Nightwalker who was still trying to reach for the berries

"Well, they'll eat anything," Akane stated as she dug around before pulling out a slab of raw meat. The Nightwalker carefully contorted in Faith's arms until it was underneath the slab of meat. Akane dropped it into the creature's mouth and it inhaled the slab of meat without chewing. It then looked at the fairy for more.

(Everyone ready for the arena event?)

“Do they have names? Or do we just call them Nightwalker 1 and Nightwalker 2?” Faith asks, setting the Nightwalker down so it could just freely roam around. She kept her berry pouch, before going outside with Tayla, and recasting the protective enchantments around the house, so as to hopefully prepare them against more minor disasters. She cracked her wand like a whip, emanating a red gold line, which she swished around, dancing and pirouetting gracefully, as the flames of the magic engulfed her. It healed her scratches, and also helped to revitalize her. She then waved her wand again, and transformed into a dark red haired lady with green eyes, just for fun and to confuse the Gamekeepers, before walking back to the house, to prepare with Natalia

Tayla quickly snaps out of her shock. She should've expected something like this to happen, but she had to admit, the second day was a bit early. "Everyone take cover!" Tayla shouts. She grabs Akane and Faith's arms since they were closest to her and throws herself down on the floor, dragging them down with her. After that, she kicks a nearby table towards them for them to hide under.

"Stay here!" She demands. "We can't risk checking on the others. We'll just have to hope that they'll know what to do." She is careful to keep both Akane and Faith within arms reach, just in case they decide to bolt and check on their partner.

The sudden shivering of the water sent Cree's sleek shape jetting into deeper water, his ever watchful eyes scanning for anything out of the ordinary rising from the depths. So far, there was nothing...
The earthquake shook a sleeping Tyler out of a makeshift hammock, sending him rolling down a spire and into the shifting sands. It wasn't too painful, thankfully, but something did draw the Tribute's attention: a hollow sound of wood had echoed under his left arm, a wide crate now becoming visible. On the crate, there was a crosshair insignia, exciting Tyler into thinking he'd found a gun. Upon opening the quivering chest, however, he found a massive bow with decorative arrows, their sharp heads hammered into squares. Square tipped arrows were something new to Tyler, though they did still seem very sharp, much to his delight. Grabbing everything from the box, Tyler waded through the shivering sand and once again back to his spires. As he walked, he could feel the Virus exploring the arrows, crawling over the decorative projectiles slowly...

Jeremy had ducked under the second table, his eyes widened as he glanced up at the ceiling, wondering if it would hold up.

From upstairs there was a loud CRASH as Moona and Charlie were rudely awoken from her slumber by the quaking of the ground. Moona quickly grabbed Charlie and pulled her under one of the beds.

Natalia glanced at the rumbling floor, before sighing in annoyance. She promptly took a book out, and sat down to begin reading, while casting a dome-shield over herself, to protect her from the oncoming rubble. She snapped a pair of earbuds on, then continued reading her book, clearly oblivious in her own world of “calm” Faith smacked her head, partly out of disbelief, and partly out of a strong desire to laugh. However many times she saw Natalia do this, she still found it immensely funny

The earthquake continued, getting rougher adn rougher until maybe about two hours later (it was hard to tell without a clock) it finally stopped. Akane poked her head out after a few minutes. "It stopped. You think-" A cannon blast fired. "Never mind."

Ibaraki had squirreled away under a corner, head tucked between trembling legs and sole arm covering exposed nape. The moment it was over, the child's eyes darted around trying to see what was going on. An earthquake was something that the child hadn't experienced before nor trained to keep safe in. Ibaraki had simply been staying the the corner that the child had claimed ever since the house had been built and stayed there simply watching. Just from observations, the group didn't seem terrible but the child was still reluctant to join them. In the end, they were all enemies. There could only be one winner and Ibaraki didn't want to be caught unawares when it was finally the child's turn to go.


The moment it stopped, Molly poked his head into the room from where he had pressed himself against the door frame. "Is everyone okay?" He called, ready to preform any first aid if needed.

Charlie and Moona came from downstairs and joined the others, Moona slightly grumpy. "That was a very rude awakening."

Akane nodded. "The Gamemakers must've gotten bored and wanted to change things up a little. Is everyone okay?"

Jeremy gramced. "Let's just hope they don't take the island down and we're forced back onto the boat."

"Don't jinx it" Tayla grumbles while crawling out from underneath the table. "If they wanted to drive us off this island, they would've done it." She moves over to the door, wanting to escape the cramped room. "I think they wanted to scare us, show us a sliver of their power..." She snorts and shakes her head. "It didn't work, but I suspect that they'll be getting impatient very soon. We should be prepared to leave... Or fight, at a moments notice."
