Choose Your Own Adventure (Sort Of)
Forum-Index → Fanmades → Fanfictions → Choose Your Own Adventure (Sort Of)So, y'know how I rarely finish my fanfics; have a hard time getting writing ideas, and want to write a choose your own adventure but don't have the patience because there are too many endings?
Well... I've come up with a solution to all 3 problems (sort of)! What I'm gonna do now is write a fanfic where you get to vote on what happens next! The idea was inspired partially from BlackReshiram and also LordSamton and the rest of the PH Times, so credits to them.
Here's a little more about how it works: First, I write a chapter with some options to vote on. Next, you vote on which option you want to see happen here in the forum. Finally, I tally the votes and write another chapter about what happens after you do whatever the most popular choice was! Simple, right?
This way, I'll have all of you as motivation, you can help give me ideas about what happens next, and I get to write a choose your own adventure without having to write each and every option and ending. This means I'm solving each and every problem!
The only rules are:
1. All the PH rules (no swearing, etc.)
2. Be respectful of everyone (thats a PH rule, but I want to emphasize it
3. Be patient and polite(it can take me a while to write these chapters)
4. Try your best to only post in this forum when you want to vote on an option
5. Vote on one of the existing options
Ok, that should be it, thank you, hope you enjoy!

Chapter 1Chapter 1
You slip on a dark gray cloak for traveling, and pad out of your little den, and take a deep breath of the fresh, morning air. It feels so strange to be leaving… this is the only place you’ve known. You turn back to look at the den, as your father and mother, an espeon and umbreon respectively, as well as many other townsfolk plod out of their own homes, to see you off. It’s apparently a tradition for the whole town to see their travelers out, and the company of all of the familiar pokemon gives you a bittersweet feeling.
Your parents slip a strapped woven pouch over your head, containing some pecha berries, a canteen of water, 3 gold coins, a map, a wooden whistle and some rope, just in case. With tears in their eyes, and pride on their faces, they wish you well, give you a hug (as well as a plethora of warnings to stay safe), and see you on your way. You wave goodbye at them and the townsfolk of Windy Hollow, your home, with your fluffy, brown tail, as your father and mother watch you make your way down the hill and out of sight, into the vast, open world.
It isn’t long before you have to make your first big decision. Before you left, your parents told you stories about different towns that you might want to travel to, the nearest ones being Faarwinter, Copper Shore, and The Gleaming Vale. Each place has distinct landmarks to see and obstacles to overcome. You’ve reached a three way crossroads, four if you count going back the way you came.
If you take the left path, you’d find Faarwinter, a snowy town settled in between peaks of a mountain range. The chilly climb can be quite treacherous, so you’ve heard, but the sights are worth it. The mountainous view from the top of Mount Glory, one of the nearby peaks, is supposedly really stunning, and despite the cold, Faarwinter is full of wonderful plant life.
If you take the right path, you'd reach Copper Shore, a beachside town named after the shiny, copper colour the seawater becomes when it reflects the sunsets. The biggest sight to see, is, of course, the Gyarian sea, the fiery sunsets, and the sandy yellow beach itself. Apparently, lots of sea sporting competitions happen there as well, which could be quite fun.
If you take the path down the middle, you’d arrive at The Gleaming Vale, a quaint little town in a forested valley. A special natural occurrence happens in this town every day, as glowing flowers that bloom only at night transform the town each evening, which is a spectacular sight. You’ve also heard that there are lots of historic caves and runestones in the area.
You’re not gonna want to head back to Windy Hollow, of course, you haven’t seen or done anything cool yet, and it would be awkward too. Looking at your map, all of the destinations seem to be an equal distance apart (two day’s travel on foot), just in different directions. So, once you’ve considered all the options, which way do you want to go?
Options:
Left Path, to Faarwinter
Right Path, to Copper Shores
Middle Path, to the Gleaming Vale
