Stoutland is likely based on a Yorkshire Terrier, as well as a Saint Bernard.



Riako's newest event:Primal Dialga!

The newest event pokemon is Primal Dialga, celebrating two pokemon mystery dungeon games made 10 years ago,the 'explorers of time' and 'explorers of darkness'.

Like the last event pokemon, Sproutlett, you can obtain Primal Dialga through getting AP(activity points), which are obtained through interacting, battling, trading etc.

You will need 12,500 AP in order to get the Primal Dialga. Once you finish every task, you will be rewarded with a super awesome, 3 star event, primal Dialga egg! 30,855 EHP later, you have yourself a Primal Dialga! Good luck!

It’s Torterra!

Torterra is known as the 'Continent Pokemon'.

Japanese name: Dodaitose
Typing: (Grass|Ground)
Abilities: Overgrow
Hidden Abilities: Shell Armor
Gender: 87.5% male 12.5% female
Egg Group: Monster|Grass
Generation: 4
Pokedex entry: Torterra, the Continent Pokémon. Its large back and sanitary nature offer an ideal place for smaller Pokémon to build their nests.
EHP:
Name origin: Torterra is a combination of tortoise and terra (Latin for ground). Terra may also refer to terrapins. It also bears similarity to tuatara (a reptile similar to a lizard) and totara (a type of tree), both native to New Zealand.

Torterra has aspects of a snapping turtle and an ankylosaur, armored dinosaurs. Its large features and spikes may also be inspired by extinct Meiolania and Proganochelys turtles. In concept, it may be based on the World Turtles in various mythologies that carry worlds upon their backs, or perhaps the Black Tortoise of Asian legend.

It’s Emboar!

Emboar is known as the 'Mega Fire Pig Pokemon'.

Japanese name: エンブオー Enbuoh
Typing: (Fire)
Abilities: Blaze
Hidden Abilities: Reckless

Generation: 5
Pokedex entry: It can throw a fire punch by setting its fists on fire with its fiery chin. It cares deeply about its friends.
EHP: 5,355 steps
Name origin: Emboar is a combination of ember and boar. It may also derive from the terms emperor, caesar, or tsar, all of which are used as imperial titles.

Origin: Emboar is based on the soldier of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Ken Sugimori has said that Tepig, Pignite, and Emboar were designed in a Chinese style. Because of this, Emboar may be based on Zhu Bajie, a pig demon from the Chinese tale Journey to the West. Infernape is also based on a character from the novel, Sun Wukong, and has a similar design. Emboar looks much like a British Saddleback or wild boar in a wrestling singlet. The swirl pattern around its abdomen resembles the patterns on a ding or ancient Greek pottery. The fire in its Shiny coloration refers to blue fire, which generally indicates a higher temperature than orange fire but may also be caused by certain chemicals burning at a normal temperature.

It’s Araquanid!

Araquanid is known as the 'Water Bubble Pokemon'.

Japanese name: オニシズクモ Onishizukumo
Typing: Water | Bug
Abilities: Water Bubble
Hidden Abilities: Water Absorb
Gender: 50% male, 50% female
Egg Group: Water 1 | Bug
Generation: 7
Pokedex entry: It delivers headbutts with the water bubble on its head. Small Pokémon get sucked into the bubble, where they drown.
EHP: 3855 - 4111 steps
Name origin: Araquanid may be a combination of arachnid and aqua.

Onishizukumo may be a combination of 鬼蜘蛛 onigumo (Araneus ventricosus), 鬼 oni (demon), and 滴 shizuku (water droplet).

Origin: Araquanid appears to be based on the diving bell spider, utilizing a bubble of water to breathe above the surface, like a reverse scuba helmet. Given its long, skinny legs, Araquanid may also take some influence from one of many species of sea spiders. The growths on its head may be inspired by the Hawaiian happy-face spider.



THE ULTRA BEASTS

So our admin riako posted a feed a few weeks ago touching on the topic ‘ultra beasts’. They are going to be added to this site soon. A day before, before the primal dialga event was about to end,riako stated that "a new event is already decided". Many had speculated that it may be related to ultra beasts, but the speculations were wrong.
FOR those who don’t know what ultra beasts are -The Ultra Beasts are a group of extra-dimensional Pokémon originating from Ultra Space. They possess power that transcends humans' understanding of the world.They were released in the games pokemon sun and moon and the last game pokemon ultra sun and ultra moon on the nintendo 3ds.
These points supports our finds:-

1)The pokedex for Alola has increased to #806 from #792.
2)In the premium settings where we can change the banner pokemon for our premium banner.we found that there are pokemons till #806(Blacephalon). Selecting pokemon from #793-#806, such as those for banner, displays no pokemon.
Hence we can say that ultra beasts have been added to the codes but the spirtes are still to be uploaded and will be coming soon to this site .WE are waiting for a official announcement from Riako on this topic .



Az's Floette has been added to PH!

2018 has another new event pokemon! Az's floette! This isn't just any old yellow or green flower this floette has either. It has the eternal flower, which gave it a never ending life. How? It dies in a war. It's trainer,King Az, yearned for his beloved pokemon to return to him. He made a machine that gave his floette eternal life, as well as a special flower. However, his floette did not want this. It left him. And it seems it has wandered into Emera town! Good luck finding it, everybody!

With almost 115,000 registered users have you ever stopped to wonder about some of those people? Who are they? How did they find PokeHeroes? What do they like to do when playing on here? Well, I would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to three players you may or may not know: _TBV_, RandomAppleSoda04, and Princess_Politoad.

Three and a half years ago Apple was busy on Scratch and came across a project that had to do with PH and she was instantly hooked. Her username is most interesting. We have a Mexican soda we like that is apple flavored. Apple can also be rather..... Random ... at times when she is hyper-focussed on something and pops out an interesting factoid thus her username 8) (Y)

Apple's favorite Pokemon is #483, Dialga. Apple has even created an OC named Eight based on Dialga. She does a lot of adorable artwork with Eight and her other OC named Ivy. Recently she came into possession of a SHINY Dialga and is completely smitten with it ♥

Six months later, after hearing Apple talk about PH so much,_TBV_ decided to join. She loves Pokemon as well and thought it would be fun to play another Pokemon based game. TBV stands for "The British Vivillon". TBV and Apple were both born in England and came to the US as toddlers. Other Pokemon TBV enjoys are: Deoxys, Wynaut, and Chespin. This summer she was able to be more involved on PH as during the school year days often begin before 7am and she doesn't get home until almost 5pm so is completely exhausted.

Along with Pokeheroes, TBV greatly enjoys playing MineCraft and her new obsession is deeep.io a fun little fish evolution game similar Agar.io. TBV is hoping to eventually get a Ditto to do some unique hunts and perhaps premium to go along with it. She does not have many friends, especially active friends and would like to have more.

A week after TBV joined, I did as well. My original username was MtnMama. If you have not cottoned on to it, _TBV_ and RandomAppleSoda04 are my children! I am one of the oldest players on PH. I joined PH originally as a tool to communicate with my kids. Sometimes it is easier to write a PP/PM rather than a face to face talk about life or things that bother you. Due to my severe, social anxiety, however, it is often difficult for me to chat to people I do not know.

Pokeheroes is instrumental to my own mental health in that I have taken over the #RowanQuest click list and help people each week with their quests. This means I have to talk to people... a LOT. Some days are easier than others but it is wonderful to know I am helping so many folks. I also have some physical limitations that make interacting difficult but I do what I can and love helping everyone along the way.

On PH I love to garden and shiny hunt. My garden just turned over to level 96 but have only hatched 63 shiny so far this year which is half of last year. I am hoping to change my username again soon but lacking the creativity to come up with a new one.

As a family we love going to the lake for a swim and picnics and during the winter we enjoy having snowball fights and building Pokemon snow scenes on the trampoline. We have 2 dogs and a cat all of whom are very well spoiled loved ♥

It’s Salamence!

Salamence is known as the 'Dragon Pokemon'.

Japanese name: Bohmander
Typing: |(Dragon|Flying)
Abilities: Intimidate; Aerilate (Mega Salamence)
Hidden Abilities: moxie
Gender: 50% male, 50% female
Egg Group: dragon
Generation: 4
Pokedex entry: Salamence, the Dragon Pokémon. Salamence is the final evolution of Bagon. It is able to exhale powerful blasts of fire while flying.
EHP: 10280 - 10536 steps
Name origin: Salamence may be a combination of salamander and menace, vengeance, vehemence, or violence (in regard to its brutal nature).

Bohmander is a combination of 暴行 bōkō (assault, outrage, or violent act) and salamander.

Origin: Salamence appears to be based on a salamander, most likely the Hida salamander or Anderson's Salamander combined with the archetypal fire-breathing European dragon. This is further backed up by Salamence featuring three prominent finlets on either side of its head, which can be interpreted as external gills. These external gills are typical for many species of amphibians.

It’s Absol!

Absol is known as the 'Disaster Pokemon'.

Japanese name: Japanese: アブソル (Absol)
Typing: (Dark)
Abilities: Pressure or Super Luck (Magic Bounce if Mega)
Hidden Abilities: Justified
Gender: 50% male 50% female
Egg Group: Field
Generation: 3
Pokedex entry: Rumored to sense disasters with its horn, it became a target. It fled deep into the mountains.
EHP: 6425 - 6681 steps
Name origin: Absol may derive from 物騒 bussō (dangerous). It may also be a combination of ab- ("away from") and sol (Latin for sun), referring to its Dark-type nature. The latter may also be a reference to a solar eclipse, as many cultures considered a solar eclipse as a sign of end-times or disaster.

It may also be derived from absolute, relating to its ability to foretell impending disasters; or from absolve, meaning "to free someone from punishment or blame", or "to be declared as innocent for an accused wrongdoing", in reference to it being misunderstood and undeserving of its reputation as doom-bringer.

Alternatively, it could derive from Absalom, a name which is said to bring bad luck, according to Jewish tradition.


Origin:

Absol is most likely based on the Bai Ze (白澤) of Chinese mythology, whose name literally translates to "white marsh." It is generally described as a white beast, distinguished by having one or two horns on its head. Considered to be an intelligent beast, Bai Ze is gifted with the ability to understand human speech and the knowledge on the forms and habits of 11,520 types of supernatural creatures in the world. In legend, Bai Ze shared its knowledge with the Yellow Emperor, which was subsequently compiled in a book called Bai Ze Tu. Few of its supposed fragments survive today. In Japan, it is known as the hakutaku (白沢). In a related legend, a similar creature known as the kutabe predicted that a plague would sweep through the Toyama Prefecture of Japan. It is also sometimes said to have an extra eye on their head or back, which may be represented by the oval that appears on Absol's forehead. Absol's head is modeled after a Taijitu symbol. Absol's humanized face and feline appearance may also be a homage to the Sphinx. Its scythe-shaped tail and horn suggest a resemblance to the Western personified depiction of Death, who is related to destiny and disaster. It may have also been inspired by the black cat superstition. Due to its feline appearance and it living in mountains Absol may also draw inspiration from a cougar.

Mega Absol's wings and elongated hair give it the appearance of an angel, with its wings also being reminiscent of Greek portrayals of sphinxes and furthering the connection to sphinxes



Queer-Pride Event

In the last Sunday, Riako made this announcement on Facebook: "PokéHeroes is openly supporting the LGBT community - and you are invited to join us with that in our new LGBT-pride event distribution!" The next day, he released the queer-pride event pokemon, Vivillion(Pride)!

"In the Pokémon world, everyone is treated equally - regardless of the region you come from, of who you love, or what pattern you have on your wings!"
We are glad that such open-minded people exist, and Ph times fully support this decision by PH! No matter who you are or what you represent, this event truly reminds us to be proud of it.

It’s Beheeyem!

Beheeyem is known as the 'Cerebral Pokemon'.

Japanese name: オーベム Ohbem
Typing: (Psychic)
Abilities: Telepathy or Synchronize
Hidden Abilities: Analytic
Gender: 50% male 50% female
Egg Group: Human-Like
Generation: 5
Pokedex entry: It can manipulate an opponent's memory. Apparently, it communicates by flashing its three different-colored fingers.
EHP: 5140 - 5396 steps
Name origin: Beheeyem is a corruption of the abbreviation BEM, an old-fashioned term used to refer to extraterrestrials.

Ohbem may be a combination of orb and BEM (pronounced as a single word in Japanese). Oh may also refer to 大 ō (large) and bem may also refer to a beam (referencing tractor beams from UFOs).

Origin: Beheeyem is based on greys, one of the more popular kinds of alien. Judging from Elgyem's Pokédex entry, it and its evolution may also be based on Area 51 alien conspiracies or the Roswell incident. Additionally, Beheeyem's design resembles a person wearing a hat and trenchcoat and is likely based on stereotypical spies, shady figures, "Men in Black", or government agents in connection with alien sightings. The colored dots on its hands resemble the colorful faces of the invaders in the 1953 War of the Worlds film; the aliens in the film had green, blue and red dots just like Beheeyem's Shiny coloration. Considering its species names, physical appearance, and powers, it may also be based on a brain.

People often think the PH sprites are bland. Do they shade? Well, yes they do. You'll be surprised how much care is taken for these sprites.

It’s Forretress!

Forretress is known as the 'Bagworm Pokémon'.

Japanese name: フォレトス Foretos
Typing: |(Bug | Steel)
Abilities: Sturdy | Overcoat(hidden)
Gender: 50% male 50% female
Egg Group: Bug
Generation: Generation II
Pokedex entry: Forretress conceals itself inside its hardened steel shell. The shell is opened when the Pokémon is catching prey, but it does so at such a quick pace that the shell's inside cannot be seen.
EHP: 5,355 steps

Forretress and Foretos are a combination of forest and fortress. It may also contain turret, referring to the nozzles on its body that it uses to launch Spikes, and/or ferrous, from the Latin for iron/steel, referring to the steel quality of the shell.

Forretress is based on a bagworm, possibly one inhabiting a discarded shell of a horse chestnut or a walnut. Because of its "shell", and the fact its spikes resemble cannons, it may have been based on a giant clam or other mussels and shellfish with functioning nozzles.
