yes, the van bagon I did calculate in there aswell, the question is, if mr bagon+bagon lay more than twice as many eggs as mr bagon+ditto

And in a post (eighter from Riako or Liira I thiink) it said that if you breed with an event, the event has a 50:50 chance to be another event or the normal version so:
if you breed two events, there´s 50% events and 50% normal
if you breed event&normal, there´s 75%normal and 25% events
if you breed mr bagon and bagon, there´s 75% bagon and 25% mr bagon and van bagon combined (but to be fair, I don´t really think that´s a 50:50 chance, more like one third van bagon and two thirds mr bagon)

Honestly, I've never read anywhere that event pairs are 50/50 ^^'

I know an event-breeding pair increases the chance of getting an event, but based on what I read (and experienced), you will still be getting a majority of non-event eggs, as to keep the events from being too common.

So far, there's no information regarding the difference in egg count between the possible DayCare messages, so we don't know if a perfect 'Event Bagon - Bagon' breeding pair will give more than twice as many eggs as a non-perfect 'Event -Bagon - Bagon' pair. However, do keep in mind I did not mention Ditto.

While we don't know a lot about the possibilities of getting an egg, Riako did say that any pair with Ditto has an almost 40% lower egg drop than the Perfect Pair equivalent. Based on that, you would get significantly more eggs with an Event Bagon - Bagon pair than with an Event Bagon - Ditto pair.

Yes, you need to use a ditto in order to breed all the genderless Pokémon like in the official games :)

a while back, some friends were asking about everstones verses gems being held by the breeding pair. i see the friend who brought up the question asked it here, but there was no following discussion. from what i could see in her feeds, she decided to stick with the gems as did some of her friends. yet the guide and some others insist everstones are better. i've tried both, and feel like i got more eggs in general with the gems, yet my shiny chain has never been this high without getting a shiny. since i have only shiny hunted a few pokemon, i can't be sure its related to the held items and not the pokemon itself.

does anyone have any insight on this? do gems effect breeding at all? if they do, do they play a role in shiny pokemon?

Does the nature of the Pokemon affect breeding chances, and if so how?

about the breeding thing, i left my pokemon in there, but i didn't pay. i put the same pokemon in and paid this time, and i was wondering if there's a debt system? if so, how do i know how much money i owe?

There is not a debt system at this time. Once your money runs out no more eggs will be produced.

You're simply not getting any eggs [or getting exp], if you don't put in any money. So no, there's no 'debt' system.

Title: Holding gems instead of everstones.

This question had been brought up twice, and I'm kind of curious as well. Since it hasn't had any replies, I'd like to know if holding a gem of respective type gives a better breeding chance than holding an Everstone.
Anyone?

Thanks in advance!

Gems have absolutely no influence on the breeding chances.
[and I have my doubts that the Everstones do either]

I've had my share of doubts about them. I'm pretty sure they don't influence breeding in the original games. But Tobi is one person whom you can count on to add hidden factors.
About the Everstone, it's probably a tip that was given just to prevent Pokémon from evolving. My thoughts.

@Saknar

I've done experiments over the last year with using respective gems vs everstones whilst breeding. I have found that they do help with egg production.

There were a couple hunts where with everstones only I was lucky to get 3-5 eggs per day but as soon as I switched to gems I would get that many in just a couple hours. I am doubtful, however, of shiny or mega increased chance but definitely believe it helps with the eggs.

My kids have also seen the benefit from using gems vs nothing and vs everstones.

We think it helps so will continue to do it.

YMMV 8)

@Princess_Politoed, did you give the gem to the same Pokémon that was holding the Everstone? Or did you switch parents?

Same ones as I believe switching parent would have altered the results with their different stats.

does using a Santa Birb (ditto) in the daycare act the same as a regular ditto in terms of breeding, or is it different?

@Tenma2 - The Santa Birb is just an event and does not act like a Ditto.
