Tempest crosses her arms. She is irritated that her name wasn't called. Doesn't matter, she'll volunteer herself anyway. "I volunteer as tribute!" She shouts out in a rather monotone voice. People seem to move out of her way as if she were a virus. She doesn't really care, they are only making her life easier. She doesn't look at anyone as she walks; In fear her wall will come crumbling down if she does. Her expression is bored as she stands on stage, waiting rather impatiently for the other names to be called.
(Yup! Gran will definitely come!)
"I volunteer bawly molly as tribute!" The haughty boy on stage sneered, before leaping off the stage. Jeers were thrown Molly's direction, the other boys viciously pushing him out of line and up on stage. By his feet, Squall barked and snarled at the offending boys but Molly's bullies paid no mind, shoving the stumbling boy over his guide dog and into the hands of peacekeepers who hauled him up onto the podium. Trembling up on stage, Molly squeezed his eyes shut as the reaping finished up, heart sinking with dread
Agent Fallows, signing out~
When they left, Leaf's sister Fern came in and praticaly jumped into Leaf's arms in sobs. "You'll come back! You have to!" Fern insisted through tears.
Leaf gently knelt down on a knee and held teh side of Fern's face. "I'll do my best, but listen, I dont want you to stay with our so called parents. Harlow's Gran will take care of you. If I don't make it back, help her take care of my child."
Fern nodded and hugged Leaf tighter.
"I recognize that look... Harlow, you seriously have to learn to let things go" Gran tells Harlow. Harlow jumps in surprise, she haven't even heard her enter.
"How can you say something like that? We are both sentenced to death again!" Harlow shouts.
"No, Leaf was sentenced, you followed her and I'm proud of you for that. But Harlow, you have to stay sharp" Gran warns. She gives Harlow a hug. Tears fall down Gran's face. "I finally get my granddaughter back, to make things better she brings a girlfriend, and later a child follows. I was so excited... and now it's being taken away again" she pulls back. "Stay tough, and protect our girl and our child. But most importantly, protect yourself"

Tempest didn't have anyone to say goodbye to. So she sits in the room until she is due to leave.

Kayda and her foster family all have a huge group hug. Her foster family is emotional about this. So Kayda is forced to act emotional. In all reality, she is excited to go to the Games.
Fern dug something from around her neck, and slipped a necklace around Leaf's neck, it was a Zebra Jasper pentant necklace, and was it very beatiful. "To protect you."
Leaf smiled at her little sister. "Thank you." Leaf breathed and hugged her sister agian, kissing the top of Fern's head. "Be a good girl and listen to Gran, she'll take care of you."
"No." Fern begs then she begins howling "No! No! No!"
"I'll try!" Leaf tells her sister as he forces them out. "I promise."
Some how Fern slips under the Peacekeeper and manages to embrace Leaf with an iron grip. After Gran's out, he comes back for Fern and forces her out. "NO! NO! NO!" She howls as she's ripped from Leaf's grasp.
"I promise Fern!" Leaf hollered over her wails. The door slamed shut behind them and Leaf burried her face in her hands trying not to cry.
Kayda's grins as she walks onto the train. Her meeting with her family was over. Pretty soon, Chakti would join her on the district's train. She giggles to herself. He was visibly terrified in being chosen. Fear was a double edged sword. It could make someone unpredictable and dangerous at best. Or someone who can be easily controlled at worse. She could work with that. She leans against the wall, a bored expression crosses over her face
Tempest ignores the people on her train. Pretty soon she'll be allowed to go in other cars, so she'll get a chance to talk with other tributes. She would need an ally, and she wasn't willing to trust people from her own district
The first group to swarm Gateguard was his family, all bawling their eyes out, Shion especially. Shion had been chosen last year and by some miracle had returned a changed man but still their precious brother nonetheless. He did his best to soothe them all, whispering assurances and embracing them all. Avenir stayed away however, eyes hollow and distant. Before Gateguard could say anymore, the door burst open again and his boyfriend came in with a streak of pink, sobbing and clinging onto him like a life line. Laughing quietly, grateful for the love he was showered with, Gateguard let his affections flow freely for once, keeping his family close until the had to be forcefully parted by peacekeepers.
Rita's goodbye with her parents and siblings left Rita blinking back tears of longing and heartache. She would have to win if she wanted to make it back.
Leaf curled into Harlow and broke down, hugging Harlow tightly. Surviving last time was in Leaf's mind, luck. But twice? Could they really do that?
Adelaide Loverre’s neck prickled as other children her age filled in to her left and right, murmuring to each other excitedly. Discussing the prospective future tributes was a fair guess. She saw the same raw pride in their eyes that her brother had, the same cold stance and power. Smug, brutish and violent. Many of them she recognized immediately, having trained them herself. Unless they’re green, they’re dangerous was the general term she assigned to her students. A few of them weren’t with her anymore, having died in the arena to one thing or another. But most of them were. Her brother had left her side to join his age group without a word. Adelaide’s brooding and general feeling of discontent was a bit hard to explain. But it was not from nerves. Gods, a district two tribute like her had little to worry about. Survival, fighting, it was an instinct, so deeply ingrained in her, she knew it like the back of her hand. The arena was her old friend, and having been reaped the year before, and come back a victor-Adelaide knew she had more than experience on her side. And she would gladly do it again. Honorably. And she would have a hell of a time showing it too; just to her fellow tributes, but to the Capitol as well.
She stood tall, head high, shoulders back. Cool scarlet eyes fixed straight forward; District Two tenses around her as their Capitol escort arrives on stage with the usual entourage of Peacekeepers. The cold white figures flanked the stage. A reminder, of the Capitol’s ever-watching eye. The speech of Panem was quick to pass, and the escort makes his way to the glass bowls. The atmosphere was blood-curdling. Getting reaped was among the highest of honors and an act of prestige in the service of your district, but the high status was among the least of Adelaide’s priorities.
“I volunteer.”
Every eye snapped to her—it grew so quiet you could hear a pin drop. It was not usually a surprise that Career district tributes volunteered. The crowd silently parted for the white-haired girl

A token was hastily pressed into his hands, a butterfly pin from his boyfriend as Shion also gifted him his pair of sheep fur earrings. "They protected me in the arena, they'll protect you." The younger brother swore with a haunted look in his eyes. "And if you see anyone from my herd.... Please take care of them." Gateguard gripped his brother's hand firmly and nodded before he was swept away and placed on the train to the capital. Sighing at the suddenness of it all, Gateguard pinned his butterfly token on his lapel before exploring the train
