If Derek dropping his only weapon was surprising enough, him suddenly bowing was even more shocking. Gwen hesitates for a moment, before lowering her hand to her side. She silently listens to him speak and frowns slightly, not recognizing where his accent was coming from. No nearby villages spoke like him. It only made her more interested in these newcomers.

"Your observations are correct, I am a general- general Gwen is my name- and there is no need to bow" Gwen explains. "Who is it you are trying to escort? And what brings you to Telmar?" While Gwen no longer looked physically ready to attack, there was a clear warning within her tone.

Seventh Son, Restless Child
Valor and Cunning, your anger is mild..

The guard rose back up to his feet with a huff, showing off a weakness, though whether on purpose or accident was unclear.. Kneeling took little effort, but standing was difficult. The hatchet was suddenly in Derek's grasp, the handle threaded through the leather loop as he sheathed it away. His stance became much more powerful, though, his left hand retrieving his helmet from the wagon and holding it in one hand.

"Aye em here es-kert-ing a men nemmed Sey-las Verun. Hey's slay-ping en the wagen et tha meyw-ment. E'd seg-gest net dester-bing hem."

Derek gesturing at the wagon behind him, indicated the very back of it, where it was open enough to peer inside or jump in, if needed.

Gwen is quick to remember both names. The two don't seem like a threat, but it wouldn't hurt to remember them. She nods to the female guard, who had yet to leave. "Please escort Sylas to one of the private inns. He would likely wish to sleep in a real bed. Keep an eye on the door too" Gwen says the last part quietly as to not be overheard. Even though they weren't an immediate threat, it didn't mean they could lower their guard completely.

"Derek, if you wouldn't mind. I would like to bring you to our Queen and Councilwoman Tani. You must've traveled far to get here. I'm sure they'll wish to speak with you."
...

Sage was already awake, and seemed to have been awake for awhile based on all the completed messages next to her. After helping Maddy, she had only gotten a few hours of sleep before she was wide awake by the reminder of all her duties she had to attend to. She sits in one of her workrooms. Arranging letters from the nearby territories and writing new messages to send to the leader's of those territories. Now, more than ever, was the time to have strong diplomatic relations. Unfortunately, these territories were small compared to Telmar's already tiny kingdom. They would need Telmar's resources far more than Telmar needing theirs. But they couldn't afford to be picky.

She raises her head up upon hearing one of her guards enter. "General Gwen is here with a visitor" the guard informs her. Sage couldn't hide her surprise. Gwen was slacking at her duties now-in-days, thus avoided her as to not be scolded.

"Very well, send them in, and give these to our messengers" Sage replies while passing some documents forward. "I have a feeling things will get very interesting" Sage mutters under her breath.

Villains, villains
Cursed sounds
Flee me, flee me
Leave these grounds..

Derek grabbed the reins of the horse, holding them out for the guard to take to lead the horse away. After a few moments, though, Derek shouted three unfamiliar words at the wagon as it was being led away towards an inn...

"Clik! Swif! Grad!"

As these words were shouted, two large, beautifully colored animals leapt from the back of wagon. Derek leaned down once more, turning to them and speaking.

"Clik, Sylas."

One of the foxes quickly turned and leapt away, scrambling back into the back of the wagon and rousing Sylas slowly..

"Swif, set."

The remaining fox quickly came closer to Derek as the guardian stood slowly, the fox nipping at one of his gauntlets as it rose. Derek turned to Gwen, nodding to her.

"Aye hope yew well not mend Swif eny, shey is plenty good."

The fox seemed very close to Derek, occasionally circling his feet and looking around.

The journey to the doorway of the supposed woman Derek was supposed to meet was filled with quiet grunts and the clattering of armor.. No wonder he had chosen to ride in the wagon, his armor was more specifically designed for battle than travel. He didn't appear to be exhausted, though, only slightly agitated by the restriction of movement the heavy, powerful armor applied. Swif, the fox, was quite happy to tag along, jumping along playfully before returning to Derek, occasionally sniffing at Gwen.

Derek waited patiently for his entry to be permitted to the room ahead of him. The doors were grand, decorated as fit for a ruler of any kingdom. He held his helmet under one arm, the hatchet tucked away on his belt, hard to access with the heavy armor very quickly; a way to reduce any threat he posed. Evidently, Derek had done this very same thing before, greeting a ruler of a kingdom...

*As the morning sun rose in the sky, Tani's room slowly lit up as she began to wake up. She slowly sat up and moved her feet out of the bed. Out of instinct, she looked behind her to look at Maddy but didn't see her there as she was at Sage's home since their fight. She stood up and began to get dressed for the day. Since the fire, her skin had healed up nicely leaving very few scars and reminders of what had happened to her. As she finished getting ready, she heard a knock on the door and shouted out* Coming!

*She quickly strapped her boots to her feet before standing up and grabbing her sword, fastening it to her left side and began making her way towards the door. As she walked towards it, she deeply desired it to be Maddy, however was disappointed when she opened the door and saw two of the town guards outside. She then uttered something.* When do we stand? *One of the guards answered Tani's code* We stand against the falling sun and the growing shadow. *Tani sighed and nodded her head. She stepped outside, locking the door behind her, and began to walk down the muddy roads with the guards in tow towards the capital building. Once reaching it, she turned towards the guards and motioned that they were at ease before continuing into the building.*

A shocked expression crosses onto Gwen's face as she watches two tiny foxes race out of Derek's wagon. To her, foxes were always prey. She didn't realize they could be trained like a canine. Maybe it is a strange looking canine? Gwen wonders while curiously peering down at the thing. She tries to walk carefully while leading Derek to Sage, as to not step on the small thing. Unlike the woman from earlier, Gwen said nothing while she lead the way. The older and more experienced woman was far more comfortable with silence.

Upon reaching the door, Gwen couldn't help but feel nervous. She may be a warrior, but Sage was still scary. She raises up a fist and knocks three times. "Come in" a familiar voice says and Gwen complies, leading the way and stepping aside to make room for Derek.

"Sage, this is Derek. He is of interest to me, and is likely of interest to our kingdom. I didn't want to discuss anything with him further without a proper audience." She pauses and turns to Derek. "Is that okay?" She asks him.

Sage says nothing for a moment and stares at the two. Her stern gaze resting on Gwen longer than the newcomer. "Please, take a seat if it makes you comfortable. I'm sure you already answered this. But what brings you here?" Sage asks lightly.

Bow Down, Bow Down
You Rebels and Scum
Bow Down to the Queen
Of the Rising Sun...

Derek strode in easily, as did the fox accompanying him.. Derek nodded to Gwen, answering her question before turning his attention to Sage.. Swif bit gently at his gauntlet, asking for attention, before the armored guard made a gesture, teh fox letting out a quiet chirp and scampering over to Gwen, the next best thing to beg for attention from.. The fox sat down by her left foot, sniffing her legs and being a very stereotypical fox, curious and nosy...

Derek glanced at the seat he was offered, then carefully sat down, his face twisting into a nervous look as the seat creaked loudly beneath his weight. After a moment of assuring the chair wouldn't shatter, Derek spoke. It was nearly identical to what he'd said to Gwen.

"Aye em on en essen-mint ef bes-chun gerds-men dewty, es-kert-ing a hiy prier-ety cle-int. Aye'em un-sher why hey wents ta-bey here, thew."

A small smile rests on Sage's face. Whoever this high priority person was, there was a chance that she knew him. She tried to be familiar with the people in the other territories. "Where did you come from?" Sage asks. She glaces at Gwen, who was shaking her head. This makes Sage frown. "Are you not from around here? What is your client's name?"
...

Gwen was half focused on the conversation. Again, she found herself glancing down at the fox. Now it was starting to act more fox-like. But she had to remind herself that it was listening to Derek's commands only just a second ago. She found herself wondering for the second time if it were some strange looking dog that just happened to look like a fox. She snaps into attention upon hearing Sage's second question.

Star was as of now in the nearby forest harvesting berries, mostly for herself, though she did know a few people who would trade/pay for food. Let's see. . .what all did she have available. . .

Leaf and Blossom had done an inventory after breakfast, and they were missing a few things. Mostly bandages and stronger pain killers, but they could trade/buy for those in the shop. Because Blossom knew what to look for, Blossom heads out to get those while Leaf continues in the garden.

Now bored again Thalia headed back to her room, with the sight of a target and darts her eyes brightened. She picked up the three darts on the floor and pulled out the ones from the target off. She threw them each carefully getting two on the target and the others very close. After she put all the darts away shoving them into the night table by her bed. She decided to head on to the market to buy the week's groceries. Thalia fixed up her hair scrunching it extra before heading out, on her way to the door she smiled at her reflection in a mirror and walked out. She very much hoped there wouldn't be much talking except for the purchasing business.

Hell Risen Trophy,
Goddess of Foul Blooded Scum,
Terrible Ruler of the Knowing,
Hear the Horn's Gentle Thrum...

"Aye em afre-hd thet Aye em un-sher ef hes re-sins t'a bey here. Hes nem es Sy-las Verun, hey es ef nob'l bl-ud, wey are from anoth'r con't'nent, across th' sea."

Derek Shifted slightly in his seat, a little nervous about explaining the idea of visitors from another land... It seemed as though the kingdom was very land-locked, and entirely self-reliant. He found it unlikely they recieved many visitors from much other than other tribal villages and kingdoms in the immediate area...

The fox was more than happy to keep distracting Gwen, snout snuffling at anything nearby.. Swif, was her name, wasn't it..?

This got the attention of both Gwen and Sage. Even Swif, who was oddly intriguing to Gwen, was a long forgotten memory upon hearing his words. "How did you cross the sea? Surly your boat wouldn't be suitable for long distant travels" Gwen asks. What kind of technology does this man have? Suddenly, Gwen regretted her actions from earlier. If these people were that much more technology advanced, then it would be wise to remain in their good graces.

The market was busy as it always was, the morning rush of buyers flooding the streets and the loud crows of hawkers filling the air. It felt like a universal truth that markets were always busy, the swaths of towns that Hyolyn had once traversed through all bustling around the stalls and wares, the heart of the city as people flowed in and out of it. With a wicker basket in one arm, Hyolyn perused the wares, handing out coins when fit and loading wares into the basket. Vegetables and seeds, cuts of meat, ingredients for hang over cures, the normal things that anyone would need. Striking up meager conversation with the stall owners that they did know, Hyolyn tried to do their best to keep their trip nice and short. The drag of long skirts and heavy jackets dirtied under the busy footsteps, and they kept their head down to trudge through the crowd. They narrowly avoided bumping into others, but in doing so, ran straight into someone else. While neither of the things that they were carrying scattered, the small bump doing little to jostle the items, it did have the both of them stumbling back. "Sorry there 'luv" They immediately apologized, looking up to see that it was the local healer who's name Hyolyn couldn't actually remember at the moment. Something to do with flowers.

Stricken with the ails
Of a lukewarm breeze
When the heart fails
The land shall feed..

Derek seemed rather taken aback by the question, speaking slowly an doing his very best to enunciate.. He was careful with each word, trying desperately to allow the superior ranks around him taste the flavor of this idea, this abstract concept of easy travel between two points so far away... He turned his head towards Gwen,

"Aye em.. Not sher ef yer ne-val pow-ar, bot.. There're sheps med fer travels ef thet destince, they're med lerge ent strung, s'uh thet they cun te-k the lar-gar wev's.."

Derek shifted again, turning his head towards Sage once again.. He seemed weary of the sudden change in the atmosphere of the room, his fingers twitching, calling Swif back to him.. The fox leapt into his lap, sitting down comfortably, her brush settling around her small body.. She seemed to be more of a comfort animal than a combat-oriented creature..

Gwen says nothing, instead she sits back and tries to imagine a ship that can do what Derek is describing. This gives Sage time to speak. Like Gwen, she seemed interested in the types of technology Derek was familiar with. She learns forward, showing clear interest in what he had to say.

"A ship that can navigate across those waters? That's an amazing feat... What other types of technology do you have?" She asks. "If you feel comfortable sharing it that is" she adds just as quickly. It was never a great idea to share too much about your kingdom to a foreign leader, and she didn't want to press.

Darkness falls
Upon the Western shores
The ravens call
Their wings a-beating, roars..

Derek twisted his face in slight discomfort, as if not quite sure of this kingdom's true ability.. Surely, they had an army of considerable power, as well as formidable defenses.. He chewed his tongue for several moments, then slowly spoke...

"Mey Aye esk, whut'er yer prow-dast en-vin-shuns? Aye'ud like'ta knoh, s'thet Aye dun't tell yew ab'oot some-then yew already knoh ab'oot.."

The guardian shifted, his chair groaning under the stress once more. The fox paced in his lap for a moment, yipping at him as the chair strained.

Blossom looked at Hyolyn a little surprised from suddenly getting bumped. Thankfully, the bandages and painkillers didn't fall out of her basket.

Blossom: It's alright, it can get a bit crowded here sometimes.

Blossom quickly glances over her list. Bandages and pain killers both taken off. Oh yeah, she had to get some soap and a few pouches of seeds for the garden (per Leaf's request). She hoped she had enough to pay for it all, business had been pretty slow since the last war, which while good since it meant no one was hurt, was also bad since that was the main source of income. But Leaf was trying to sell her product from the garden too in order to help get some money in.

"Nah, 's my faul'. Didn' loose 'nthin' did ya?" Hyolyn checked in, both hands out just to steady the other. Glancing at the other's basket to make sure that nothing had spilled out, they gasped as they remembered part of their own shopping list. Medicine. "Hey, yer tha' medicine lady, righ'? D'ya have any plants tha' I can take off yer hands? M' mostly looken' fer... ngyah, what were they call' again?" A litany of foreign languages spilled out from their mouth as they struggled slightly to find the right word. "T-tumeric, I think? Hon'stly jus' lookn' fer 'angover herbs but if yer willn' ta sell anythn' t'a fo reigner I'll take 'em." The bright grin on their face was a little out of place, more like a smirk as one side of their face refused to move even for something as mundane as a smile. But still, it was almost like looking at a tibetan mastiff. Big fuffy puppy. No thoughts, just puppy eyes

Blossom: Well. . .I do have some Tumeric that I could spare you I suppose, I've already got plenty at home since Leaf grows plenty of it in our garden.

Blossom takes out the bottle of Tumeric and hands it to Hyolyn.

Blossom: Ginger's also good for hangovers, especially if you make it into tea.

*As Tani walk through the halls, her footsteps echoed through the halls. She continued walking through the halls until she reached Sage's office but upon opening the door, she was dismayed to see Gwen and a much larger man talking. Upon openingthe door however, she heard something that peaked her interest: a nation overseas* Oh damnit, I'm sorry, I didnt realize anyone else was in here *She started closing the door but before she fully closed it, Sage called her name*
