Blocking and Distributing Warnings to Users on Forums
Forum-Index → Suggestions → Blocking and Distributing Warnings to Users on ForumsOk, so have you ever seen around other art shops and forums where people have a "warning / banned" list for those who had broken the shop's / forum's rules?
Well... Wouldn't it be easier if the forum has its own system where you can block a person out of your forum, just to avoid the potential trouble of them further contacting your thread ( The person being the one who had broken your forum rules )? With a simple click of a button.
Another thing I may add is being able to distribute warnings on a thread where only the forum owner and the one being warned can see. No one else would be able to see the warnings but the two parties mentioned. It would genuinely help keep the warning's list private to yourself and it won't deter people's opinion about someone else, just by judging them from the publicly shown warning/banned list in question.
Basically what I am saying is to grant a warning button and a block button for people own forums. It would be less of a hassle for the forum owners to constantly update their warned / banned list ( Especially since people do change their usernames from time to time. Not easy to keep track ) and it avoids people opinions being sway base on the list ( Which isn't good to judge solely base on that ).
I hope I've worded this correctly. As mentioned, this is my first time creating a suggestion thread ;w;

"Everything is going to be okay."
I especially agree with this, because to me, having a warning list on a forum shop is no different from naming and shaming. I don't think this is fault of the shop owners however; there isn't much else to do when wanting specific users to not interact due to personal forum rule breaking.
Having a feature that will let the users in question know privately really does help with that feeling of guilt both parties may feel.
I really like this idea so I want to bring up something that could be an issue, in hopes anyone has any additions to improve this:
Will this apply to every subforum? I see this being very useful in any shops (GTS, shiny hunting, art shops) as well as roleplays. But I can't help but feel this could be misused in general/game discussions or forum games.
I say this because the latter is more of a community thing, rather than something personal ran by one or more users. I would hate to see certain users locked out of playing forum games just because the one who started the thread "doesn't like that person".
*Edit: I forgot to mention, forum games where some type of specific effort is required by the rules: these also make sense to have this feature implemented.
I was more-so talking about the forum games such as "give the avatar above you a funny nickname" and such, with my previous question.
EDIT: Forgot to mention this but support c:
