Hello everyone °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

It has come to my attention (mostly because i'm planning on sm hunting it) that the Diancie sprites that pokeheroes use need some fixings. Before anyone says anything it's not just about my personal taste, the sprites have actual inconsistencies!! especially in the mega / shiny.

It's also not unheard of for PH to update the older sprites, as shown by this suggestion for a mega gyarados re-sprite that was implemented. Mega easter lopunny was also updated not long after release, and mega alakazam too. why cant we do the same here?? there are a lot of sprites out there that are more true to the pkmn itself, it would be a nice QoL update that's easy to implement.

Please note; i'm not saying the artist did a bad job by any means and in no way am i trying to degrade their work but i've noticed that:
[♡] diancie's rock shape is incorrect
[♡] on mega diancie the inner most part on the front of the skirt looks like another gem, but it's actually the skirt which leads to a color error on the shiny mega in that spot (supposed to be black)
[♡] the bottom of the shiny mega's dress is supposed to be black as well
[♡] the color of the crystals isnt supposed to change between regular and shiny
[♡] the shiny mega's ribbons are supposed to be a white/light grey, not pink

i've thought about these for a long time now. i've decided to post about it since one of the spriters posted their work that they were doing just for fun and we could totally use these?? at least i don't see any reason why we couldn't. i got permission to post them here to show you guys. we need these. please!!

Full support. All errors pointed out are correct and the newer sprites done by one of our spriters fix all these issues perfectly. The older sprites are very darkly outlined which makes them stick out more than other sprites on site!

I dont like the pokemon. Some of very few.

And truth be told i actually was planning on not supporting the suggestion (by choosing the woulfnt affect me option) cause i don't much care about the sprites myself.

But

The points raised are valid. They make sense. And you've got my vote.

Plus OMG the sprites made by furret (i think) are so cute. Ill definitely SM hunt it if these get impelemented.

Fully support! I also noticed the inconsistencies with the sprites, and would love if we could get ones suggested. Theyre much more accurate and fit in well with the other sprites (not to mention they look so much prettier and more dynamic. >.<). Would love to see these new ones implemented. ❤

i support 100% . the consistencies are there and the new sprites fixes all of them ! there’s nothing against the older sprites though ! they just needed a little revamped :•)

Full support based on inconsistencies alone. But also being one of the harder SM to get, the proposed sprites really pop and make a statement!

I actually really like Diancie, but never had any intention of hunting it because the old sprite is just kind of... wrong looking? Not saying the art itself is bad, it's way better than I would do, it's just got some errors compared to the actual pokemon.

But I would definitely be far more interested with the updated sprites, hopefully Furret's would be used because they're gorgeous. I want 12

Half support...? The original sprite does absolutely need recoloured (esp the mega, with a tweak to the shading/shine on the gems in both and making the outlines less heavy) - but the "inconsistency" pointed out in the actual lines is... not entirely true? It depends on what reference point you're looking at...
In the official drawn art, yeah, the rock part is much lumpier than Pokeheroes's sprite. But in the 3D model it's a lot smoother, exactly matching the sprite we currently have here.

So we really, really don't need to redo the whole sprite. The one we have matches the 3D model quite well, actually - I personally much prefer it to the suggested one. But we do definitely need to tweak the colouring+detailing of one we currently have, because there are quite a few inconsistencies in there.

The SM diancie looks really great with your version, ngl
though i dont care about the other small changes but the SM?the black colour makes it look way more beautiful <3

This doesn't really effect me much, but it has my full support! It would be nice to see an updated sprite for Diancie (maybe other pokemon from the 3d games that might also be inconsistent). I also think you did a great job with the new pixel art (the og art is good too)!

I prefer Diancies current sprite but mostly because of how cute its face is!
The redone mega sprite on the other hand is amazing!!

I support it, but I also don't in a way? Not that I dislike the remade sprite, I just like both sprites equally. However, I like the original sprite of Diancie's face more since it looks more like the official art of the Pokémon more, and the shiny mega remake since it fixes issues the original had.
