Happy Fun:
- Your regular neighbourhood, though with the strange vibe of a McDonald's play area. Don't stare at the smiling lamp posts for too long.

Griffon Alley:
- Your regular neighbourhood, now a little bit more homely! Also with. feathers everywhere. Why?

Lynx Woods:
- Your regular neighbourhood, but with like... A little more trees than the other parts of the cities.

Local Enigma, General

Myltiades - Harpy - Male - 19

General Information
Pets are allowed, yes. Though you may get weird stares from other people resembling said pets.

You don't have to harbour romantic feelings for your spouse. Just get on good terms with them.
'There are a lot of different relationship dynamics in the world. You could have a character who has no romantic interest in anyone at all, and they could still get free from the prison by just building a strong bond with their partner'

Common Jobs
"Each week, month and day, new jobs are posted. Jobs are what drives this borough. It is what you'll be spending most of your time with. Pick one, hope you don't suck at it, and enjoy!
Those who fail to accomplish their job five times are placed in Prison-Prison. Do not make this mistake."

(HOT) Differencing Bottles of Poison From Witch Medicine
At Boiling Pot 22
You are given usual laboratory gear and a whole bunch of bottles. Please sort the bottles.

Create Wing-Equipment
At Griffon Alley 1
Help the winged creatures in need of this universe by making mechanical wings so they, too, can experience the world from an aerial perspective.

Heal Hearts with Music
At Short Street 7
Many creatures may have trouble coping with the sudden difference in having zero background music running 24/7 in the borough. Bring their heart at ease for a little while by playing for them. WE PROVIDE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS.

Help Lost Prisoners
At Town Center
Help potentially lost prisoners first arriving to the borough by guiding them to their house. You must be able to put up a semi-natural smile and be able to deal with hot-headed people.

A figure stands before you. You bat your eyes a little, trying desperately to get a better look at them. How did you get here? What is this place? Did they do this?
Finally, your wishes get granted, and you finally take a big glance at all the new things revealed to you. A large city. A lot of people. Either normal or completely foreign to you.
"Welcome, all!" the figure speaks out. You see them clearly now. A small, griffin-looking person. They have all kinds of materials stuck to them in disguise as 'clothes'. They wink at you as they see you staring at them. "Welcome to your new future for the time being. Prison Borough."

They step up into a flying podium being held up by a human-wyvern hybrid. "To those who are lost, without a partner, or simply just new to town, I am pleased to announce that your spouses will be assigned to you soon. Just walk over to my buddy Wy here and he'll tell you aaaall about it," They clap the wyvern's shoulders. Wy - you assume? - simply nods and flies down to Earth, welcoming all the prisoners flooding to him. You shrug your shoulders. Better just go over to him.

Geira massages her head carefully. She should probably know what all this stuff is about, but she doesn't. She's heard about wyverns and all that stuff from tales told by the old men and people with humor, but she'd never imagine that they'd ever exist...

Always one to obey commands, she walks over to the wyvern guy, her tail wagging slightly from side to side from sheer excitement before she finally notices and sets it straight.
Wy nods to her. She nods to him.
"Name?"
"Geira Elliðadóttir."
He checks the little tablet he has in his hands. It's a little funny to see a guy with such big hands handle such a little object. He finally looks up.
"Your partner is a girl named Xeraphina Alexina. You'll live by Short Street 23. Down by the path over there," he points off in a direction. Geira has no idea which. "Your partner will have been given the same information. If you haven't seen anyone with the name 'Xeraphina' by Short Street 23 when the day is over, report back here."
He hands her a map and a little nametag. She obediently sticks it on her coat and gets on her way to Short Street.

Having trouble to fully open her eyes,Myrcine wakes up and slowly scans the area. The ground's feel was softer than the concrete she was sleeping on,the buildings all came in different sizes as well. People, including her, were placed as if they were a crowd, all next to side in multiple rows. She finally raised her upper body from the ground to listen more closely to what the figure everyone was looking at was saying. "New future...Prison...Spouses???" the last one really intrigued Myrcine's inner voice. Her subconscious kept thinking that she got caught for all those items and food she kept stealing. They didn't seem hostile in the slightest and, after of course she noticed other people do the same, she cautiously and slowly slithered towards 'Wy' as the figured called them, moving along people so as to not be alone.

Lin woke up on a cold, dark floor. Listening to what the figure was saying, she stood up. Her tail flicked viciously and she looked around, a bored expression on her face. She knew what she was here for, no doubt about that but spouses? Seriously? Honestly, she pitied the person who was matched with her. Her wings flapped silently and she sighed. She was already trying to figure a way out of this place. She wasn't going to stay here for long. Lin was kinda wondering who her "spouse" was gonna be but she quickly banished that thought from her head. "I'll probably end up killing him," she thought. She listened closely to the figure and obeyed their instructions. She walked up to Wy and waited patiently...

Freja blinked, her eyes adjusting to the new environment. Sitting up groggily, she could hear a voice speaking as her head cleared. Something about a city, a prison, and spouses? She shook her head slightly. Love was overrated, this must be some kind of prank. She glanced around and noticed Eren sitting next to her, his wings tucked neatly at his side. Whatever this place was, he must have been brought along as well. She nodded to him, signaling she was OK, and he spread his wings and flew off, disappearing in a few wing flaps. She turned her attention back to the voice. Their friend 'Wy', a wyvern-looking human, was situated a ways away from the crowd of other... people? Could she even call them that? There seemed to be very few other humans in the midst of all this. Wy was standing with a check board and talking to 'people' one-by-one, directing them to different places. The voice had said that Wy was going to give her the name of her "spouse". She shook her head again, but she pushed herself up and decided to go over anyways. What else was she going to do?
Walking over to Wy and waiting for her turn to talk to him, she took another look at all the 'people' that were here with her. For the most part, they were all some kind of humanoid creature, exhibiting traits of different creatures along with human ones. She walked closer to Wy as the "line", although it was more of a crowd, moved up. She gave a little sigh and waited.

Wy scratches his head and spots a snake... flower... slithery fellow move towards him.
"She-Viper... Myrcine Sarrea, right? Your partner goes by the name Darian Forgroth. You'll live by a place named Happy Fun 12. I don't actually know if it's Happy Fun. I've never been. It's a bit too colorful. Report back to me if you haven't seen a guy named Darian in the next 24 hours."
He hands out the name tag and map and moves on to the next person in the queue.

"Wings... Clouds... Lin Mizayaki, right? I love your, um... hoodie," he looks down at the table as to restrain himself to make more awkward comments. "Leo Pin is your new spouse. Congratulations. You're set to live by a place named Griffon Alley 2. You can... maybe guess who it's called after. Hah."
He facepalms internally as another weird comment escapes his lips. He hands out the name tag and map, states the 24 hour procedure, and moves on.

He gets a bit shocked at the next person. Just... an ordinary human? Humans weren't exactly.. nice to him, back on his own planet, but oh well. Just doing the job.
"Freja Azurine. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Your spouse is a guy named Izumi. You'll reside by a place named Lynx Woods 30. There isn't actually a forest or anything. Just a couple of trees."
He hands out the name tag and map and goes over the procedures again.

Sukuna groaned, her landing didn't particularly end soft, surrounded by syringes and Band-Aids, which she quickly collected and then looked up at the commotion, as she blinked a few times. "Spouses... prison... is this a dream?" Without hesitation, she rammed a syringe of her own into her arm, as she cried a bit in pain but then nods, a tear running down her face. "I... it doesn't seem to be..." With that, she administered some pain killers to herself and a bandage around her arm, while putting the needle behind her ear, similar to what would one do with a pen, before approaching Wy, or at least what looked most like him.

The first thing she noticed was how hard she was shaking. Xera swallowed hard. “I’m really in for it now.” She whispered under her breath, replaying the announcement over and over again in her head. The demon put her hands on her ears and shook her head. This wasn’t real. Go back, I need to go back. I don’t deserve this. These thoughts and more ran through her head like trains on a track. She hissed a string of cursed and opened her watery eyes. Where did she need to be? Nothing was making sense. She gritted her teeth and pulled her head up, squinting through the veil of her own hair in front of her.

Myrcine nervously received the name tag and the map, carefully inspecting them. "U-Uhm..." She abruptly paused, moving aside so as to not delay the people behind her. "May I ask what this is all about? Is "spouse" a term for something else? I-I don't remember marrying anyone..." She frowned. The last thing she wanted was to cause a commotion and draw attention to herself. "Am I really...in prison?" Her voice was filled more with confusion and disbelief rather than sorrow or worry. She was surprised by the number of people in the line. Was this some sort of event she wasn't aware of?

A squeal echoed through the air as June just barely gained consciousness in time to stop herself from hitting the ground hard. Floating the last foot or so to touch the ground, she lifted the goggles to her forehead and stared in awe at the multitude of creatures around her. I've never seen so many supernaturals at once! I've only heard of most of them from fairytales! A shiver traveled down her spine as she pushed through the crowd towards Wy, stopping at points to glance in awe at those she saw. June was practically hopping up and down as she stuck out a hand towards Wy. "Himyname'sJuneit'snicetomeetyouwhereamI?" Taking a deeper breath, she calmed herself slightly before continuing. "Sorry! I'm just- I was really excited so I didn't catch everything you said- I'm June, where is this, and what did I hear about a spouse?" A hopeless romantic at heart, June was VERY eager to have someone forced to be around her 24/7 - call her crazy, but being practically invisible to everyone in her own world had made her a bit touch-starved, at the very least, (desperately lonely and slightly cuckoo was her way of putting it) and she was ready to be the clingiest forced partner EVER.

Lin listened to what Wy said and walked to Griffon Alley 2. An alley? That reminded her of home. She smiled slightly, a thing she didn't do often. Her spouse was a "Leo Pin", she hadn't heard of him. Her tail flicked dangerously from side to side, and after a few minutes she arrived at her new "home". It was next to an alley that slightly resembled the one next to the warehouse she lived in, which made it feel more homely. She looked inside, it looked nice enough, but she wasn't one for décor. Lin looked upstairs and sat in an old, wooden chair. She scratched it idly with her pointed tail and looked inside one of the rickety draws. Just some battered books and some bits and bobs. The walls were white and the floor a polished oak, this wasn't a bad bedroom. She lay down on a bed with blue sheets and sighed. Lin noticed a small metal shard near her and picked it up. It glinted in the light. "Hmm, could serve as a weapon if I need it," she thought. Lin continued to rest on her bed waiting for her spou- no, she wouldn't call him her "spouse" no way, he would be simply a...a...*sigh*.......a person! Yes, a person. She waited for the PERSON to arrive.

Wy looks around, but is suddenly overwhelmed with a new flood of people. He looks curiously down at Myrcine.
"Um... you... you are in prison, yes... but it's okay! I'm sure it's fine. You're fine. I'm in prison too, right?" He laughs nervously. Rock didn't prepare him for therapy lessons!
He directs his attention towards the newcomer - June - who is practically... no, literally bouncing up and down the walls. "This is Prison Borough. You'll be spending your time here for uh... a while."

He breathes in, and prepares a simple explanation. "So, um... the whole spouse thing is basically just to introduce some morale to the town. Y'know, how some people might act more accordingly if they have someone to act for..." he waves with his hand. "Even us 'big guys' sitting here have one. You might harbour romantic feelings for your spouse or not. It's... probably best if you don't, though. You guys will be separated as soon as you get better..."
As he says the last bit, he looks off into the distance after the griffon. He grows a small smile.

"A-anyways! June! Of... The Power Plant? Is that your surname? Your spouse is the lovely Sukuna Shine. You live by a place called Happy Fun 14. I still don't know if it's as fun as the name suggests..."
He hands her the map and name tag, explaining the procedures again.

Tierney blinked back the pain as sunlight struck eyes taking in an entirely alternate reality. She felt nothing short of unnerved at having arrived without her knowledge, and her claret orbs absorbed the scene with the enthusiasm of a parched man in the desert seeing water for the first time in weeks. What she did remember was being bailed out from the cold, damp prison where she had been held. The detective with which she had been faced hadn't given the albino much warning before she hauled her from the depths of the abyss and told her to get into the car. Where ever she was being taken was better than the cell, Tierney reconciled, but now it seemed as if she was back in another cell. Another prison, doomed to rot behind bars, alone, under the law as repentance for the blood on your hands. Tierney had long been dogged by the voices of her inner conscience, warning her that the chaos she wrought upon the city in the name of organized crime was wrong. The girl, young as she was, had a fairly poor reputation. Some people dreaded seeing the pale skin and red eyes, and Tierney found herself equally ashamed.

Like an oleander

So, for months on end, she had sat alone with only the stone and the turbulence of her own thoughts for company. She had knotted her pale fingers together, white locks dull and lacking shine, mimicking the empty state of her mind. Trapped away from the sunshine and the moon and rain.

White white leaves of an oleander.

Understandably, her companion, a fit yet playful Doberman, Stance didn't seem so perturbed. His ebony tail was in fact wagging slightly, nose to the ground to absorb all the different scents. He was built for speed and for hunting. In Tierney's opinion, a more regal dog had never lived, and she reached down to caress the smooth fur on the Doberman's head and neck; Stance wriggled eagerly in response, tongue lolling from his powerful jaws. Just leave it up to her dog to take this as one large adventure. The dog wouldn't understand for the life of him that his owner had committed a crime (or would he?) and Tierney wanted to keep it that way. At least then she knew that he wouldn't leave her. Dobermans are loyal dogs, loyal to the end.

White like me

Tierney had a good sense that this wasn't a tourist attraction, and the name of the city — Prison Borough. What a way to add insult to injury. Was this her sentence following conviction? It didn't seem so bad. These people seemed jovial enough, as if Tierney had arrived at some tropical resort instead of a city for criminals. If anything, it seemed as if they wanted her to enjoy herself. With some measure of apprehension, the albino female approached the men in front, blending into the crowd without a whisper. And what a crowd it was! Composed of every manner of supernatural creature conceivable by man, with varying appendages. Well, well, talk about diversity. One thing they all had in common; they were all wondering what they were doing here. The girl had no memory of coming here, just a groggy sense of her surroundings, and she was consumed briefly by alarm. Not knowing how you got to one place usually means that she was here against her will. Alright. So she was here against her will, but no one had tried to kill her. She needed to get as much information as possible on what she was doing here, and possibly use that to her advantage.

A voice tickled her ear, singing with glee and benevolence, like a famous singer at a concert. She automatically turned her attention toward them, keeping her ears perked for any important details. Tierney was quite surprised to find they were not human at all. They had wings and a beak, like a bird yet certain other features felt feline to her. Lionlike. "Welcome, all!" They said gaily. "To those who are lost, without a partner, or simply just new to town, I am pleased to announce that your spouses will be assigned to you soon. Just walk over to my buddy Wy here and he'll tell you aaaall about it!"

Wy? A wyvern? This day was becoming weirder and weirder by the second. Stance's tail was wagging slowly while his nose probed the air curiously. Tierney's own curiosity was piqued, stirring in her chest at the chance of seeing a real dragon. It wasn't until she reached him that the real meaning of the words hit her. "Did he just say...spouse?" I'm getting married? That couldn't be true! She had been shipped here against her will and now there was going to be an arranged marriage. Absolutely preposterous. Marriage should stem from consent, not from last-minute, back-door decisions made behind her back. Besides, as long as Tierney had remembered, she had only worked alone. Working with others was practically an excuse for them to betray you and cast them aside, as her own mother had cast her daughter astray, leaving her to pick up the remnants of her own mistakes. The albino had been cursed by the albinism of her mother, and then used and discarded. No mother should treat their child that way.

And if you leave me, rest assured it would kill me

So bitter was the bile that pooled in Tierney's maw that she barely heard when the wyvern began to speak. "Oh, hello there, you're Tierney Kyle, I presume" The albino briefly scowled, only slightly furrowing her brows before she corrected him "It's Jackie, but it's fine. First times an' all. I understand." The albino casually smiled, offsetting her previous displeasure, a dichotomy prone to giving people whiplash.

Tierney wasn't interested in learning the name of her spouse, which just so happened to be Revron, so she moved away from the group. Stance bumped against her leg reassuringly, as if he was trying to tell her that everything was going to be alright. Or maybe he was just excited to explore. This was a new place full of so many new smells. They should probably get moving anyway, since there was no point lingering around. She had no idea or motivation to find Revron, so wherever he was, he would have to find her. The albino female gathered up Stance's leash in her hands and was just about to depart when a sprite jumped into her face, their visage an expression of wicked, childish delight and a sugary squeal dancing from her lips to sing in the space before them.

[ tlrdr; tierney arrived, she has a dog, she is NOT happy with the spouse idea and she has no intention of waiting for revron to show up, and she is about to leave and junebug just dashed into her face because she loves dogs ]

Xeraphina swallowed so hard, she wouldn’t be surprised if her tongue went down her throat too. Hands curled into tight fists as she took a ferociously unintimidating step towards Wy. “S-so,” She stammered, her voice coarse as sandpaper. She pounded her chest and coughed a single time. “So, where do I have to go?” She asked, ignoring the thrumming feeling in her chest as she faced the Wyvern with sharp yet soft eyes. She was clearly uncomfortable, filled with an unreasonably large amount of negative emotions. Her tail was lashing against the ground, lashing hard enough to sting.

"O-Oh...I understand!" She nodded. The fact that they would separate after they had their "rehabilitation" troubled Myrcine a bit but she chose to ignore it for now. Wearing the nametag, blushing a bit,she opened the map and slowly tried to figure out where "Happy Fun 12" is,in relation to her current location. She decided to slither at a somewhat average speed, mostly to avoid bumping into someone while also avoiding being late. Without meaning to,of course, she overheard other location names. Definitely unique names for locations within prison, but then again Wy said this wouldn't be as harsh. At least that's what she got from it...An innumerable amount of thoughts flooded her mind. What would happen if she wasn't to Darian's liking? Is he a kind and caring person or will get marginalized yet again? Was Darian informed of what kind of person, creature even,Myrcine was? This kind of prison was definitely something not like the rest,in more ways imaginable.

Ah. they finally did it. jail time.
Revron just stares as he approaches Wy, sneaking confused (more like scared) glances to the weird one who just stabbed herself with a syringe. prison is fine, better than being killed at least. and the place seems kinda ... fun.

"hello. um. so. this is kinda wack. wait I'm guessing you have some barrier stuff so we cant escape by flying right? just a thought... i heard we have spouses? do we have to have them? are we expected to have children too?? how did you get all the creatures here?" revron rambled on, eyeing every part that he could see. he did not expect to be taken here after he was found.

"N-Now, wait wait..." Sukuna just glared up to Wy, scratching herself with a needle and raising an eyebrow. "So, if I get you right... you put up us in pairs, make us married or spouses or what you want to call it and just pretend to make due?" She looked over to what she assumed to be June, then back at Wy. "You have got to be kidding..."

Sukuna Shine? They're pairing me with...a girl? ...I can make that work. June nodded fervently as she listened to Wy's explanation. So, she had gone from perfect freedom to a prison? A little odd to call someone like her here...after all, she'd kind of figured it would be pointless to jail a ghost. As far as she was concerned, however, this was the direct opposite of imprisonment. Gleefully grabbing the map and nametag, she slapped the tag onto the front pocket of her shirt and looked around for "Happy Fun 14". What she found instead was THE CUTEST DOG SHE HAD EVER SEEN. In the blink of an eye, she was floating in front of the dog, squealing at it in mismatched phrases. "Ohmygoshwhatagoodboydoggydogwho'ssocuteyouareisthisyourdog?"

Darian never thought he would end up in a place like this, especially after being put on death row. Sure he might've went a bit overboard, but did he really have to be sent here? All of it seemed so... bizarre. Creatures from fairytales flooded the place, an unsettling aura lingered everywhere he walked, and the one who welcomed him to this hell all stood right in front of him. Was this even prison? Sure didn't seem like it. Of course, all this thought would distract him from what the... thing was trying to tell him, but he figured it didn't matter. All he caught was a name, and he concluded that Wy was the one he was supposed to talk to. He waved it goodbye and walked over to a dense crowd, where he assumed this "Wy" person was. He introduced himelf with a simple "hello", unsure if it made it through to the creature.

Osiris, a hyena. And standing, angry hyena. A giggle-dog, even. But he was not giggling. He also wasn't laughing, smiling, or enjoying himself. He'd been muzzled! Of all things, being muzzled was the most insulting. He wasn't an animal! Well.. He was, but he thought higher of himself. He also had a pair of metal bands around his wrists, keeping the bipedal dog from trying to claws at anybody. Without any other choice, the brooding hyena started towards the crowd before his, his sharp eyes examining every single one, trying to identify them in some manner. No such luck; they were all strangers to him. One caught his eye, though. She seemed to be a human, though something seemed off. Something, but not anything easily identifiable. Osirirs tore his gaze away, instead focusing on getting to the wyvern thing in front of him.

Lin's wings started to ache and burn, it was time to shed them. She shook them forcefully and they drifted off her back, leaving
it stinging. She collected the clouds in a pile and before she let them dissolve, she thought. A companion would be nice. She shaped it into a medium-sized axolotl and looked at her creation. "I'm going to name you Fog," she whispered. At her words, the cloud came to life and flew around her head. She laughed. At last, after years of solitude, she had company. "Hello," she whispered softly to Fog. "Hello!" it replied and Lin looked stunned at the cloud-animal. "You can talk?" she asked. "Why of course!" it laughed. "I can also change shape at your request," Lin was amazed. She looked at Fog and after a moment of hesitation, hugged it. She hadn't shown any remote signs of affection in over 10 years. Lin wasn't used to it.
