Gaping a little, Drew's eyes darted back and forth between the arm and Eon's face for a moment before he broke into a wide grin. "WOAH, that is CRAZY!" Shivering slightly, he tapped the prosthetic. "I can't believe that really happened! I wish I could get up close and personal with a real bear, but I don't want anything like this to happen." Jumping a bit as the bell rang (the story had spooked him slightly more than he wanted to admit), Drew scrambled to gather his things. "Oh man, my first day and I'm gonna be late! Hey, what class are you heading to, Eon?"

-

Every Heart a Doorway, Charlie noted. If this guy thought it was that good, it was definitely going to be added to her mental list of things to read. Noticing him heading in the same direction as her, she felt a little flurry of pride that she was going to be in the same history class as someone as smart as him. While she was lacking in subjects like English and Biology, History was her wheelhouse, and she was quite advanced for her age. Deciding to pick a seat next to the resident bookworm, she flashed Elliot a smile as she scooted her box underneath her seat and pulled out a notebook and textbook for the class. Unfortunately, she'd have to tote that box around for a while, as there was no way it would fit in her locker. Settled, Charlie reached over and tapped the boy's arm. "You're Elliot, right? I'm Charlie. Not a big fan of history? You seem much more invested in your personal library than this class," she teased, a slightly amused smile on her face.

Eon, hearing the bell, fished for his schedule, a few choice words escaping his mouth as he was forced to fish around in his back awkwardly to search for it. Soon enough, he pulled a paper out victoriously. "Ah ha!" Unfolding it, he looked over the ink printed on it. "Hmm, looks like I've got English first." Showing off the words, he gave a half-smile. "Not the worst thing to start with, really."

If there was one thing that could put Regina to sleep better than anything else, it was...this science class. Regina had never been one to lose sleep. Never had a reason. Though she didn't consider herself a boring person, she didn't have any friends to talk to, or anything that really interested her, except for a very, very pushed down love of fencing (though absolutely no one knew it), so she never stayed up late doing anything at all. Still, this class had put Regina in a position that consisted of her right hand propping up her head, eyes fluttering constantly as she fought to keep them open, and one hand draped over her desk.

Having made sure that all his pencils had sufficient lead in them and that he also had spares, Elliot cast a glance to the girl who had struck a conversation with him and gave her a wry smile. "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Charlie." He greeted back, filing that name away in the back of his mind. "I wouldn't say I am a big fan of history, no, but it has its own merits. In particular, the history of our country is quite intriguing. I find that the age of kings to be particularly fascinating but outside of that, I unfortunately loose interest in and am thus unwilling to study it." That had always been Elliot's weakness. Things he held no interest nor personal stake in were simply discarded and never picked up. As such, history more often than not ended up as his worst subject in terms of grades. Underwhelmingly below average where his other scores sat well above the mean.

Leah walked into music and did her test for an instrument. She got a flute. It felt like she played it before but didn't know when. She played throughout the class not noticing a few students recording her performence and posting it online. She thought,I feel like a natural at this I don't know why but it feels so perfect playing music. Then out of no where,Her feel clicked in she started to screech. She put the flute down and cried in the corner."What's wrong with me?"she mumbled."She then got her confidence back and got back up.She pushed herself harder and harder to over come her fear. She did it!She overcame her fear of music!Leah was surprised when she looked around.Students were posting her music online. She was going to be famous! She jumped up and down a bit and looked online to see the video. There it was,She was playing the flute perfectly every single note.

"En-g-lish" Ava blurted out and added an extra syllable, deeming it more rhythmic to them. They lightly elbowed Rosaline and continued. "Eh, Rosa, do you think they're gonna give us that story about those two old boring hermits who thought their house was haunted? That's what the last year juniors told me, I think. Maaan, that'd be kinda lame," They paused to stretch their arms, "But maybe... maybe fun to make fun of." They held onto that hope as they skipped towards the door and into class.

They scanned the room slowly and, it took them a way too long moment but, they eventually noticed Thea minding her own business. "AH! WE'RE IN THe same class! What!!" They smiled and pointed at her as they yelled, noticing they were yelling mid sentence and lowering their voice the tiniest bit. They definitely disturbed anyone else in class on top of potentially getting unwanted attention on Thea. And for no real important reason, too.

"That's pretty cool!" They didn't seem to care about anyone eyeing them for their loudness, instead deciding to focus almost entirely on Thea. They set their backpack down and sat cross-legged on a seat adjacent to her while also facing her. This fixation can be a little overbearing, but it looked like Ava didn't even consider that.

rosaline sat next to thea. "finally, maybe we can actually play games other than tic-tac-toe and I spy now." she grinned. their English teacher was very...how to say...intense. thus ava and rosaline had to find secret ways to communicate, although ava just ignored that and usually just shouted whatever they wanted to. their teacher was more lenient on them as rosaline knew Shakespeare and the differences between thee, thou, thine, and thy. and of course when in the right mood, ava can write a novel in a day if left to their own devices. (seriously the hyperfixation is kinda wild).

"listen, the freshmen always write your homework for you if you greet them, at least that worked for us" rosaline highfived ava.

Drew shrugged. He was pretty indifferent to English; sometimes it gave him a few good reads and easy assignments, sometimes it was boring stuff with mind-melting essays. "That's what I've got, too! Want to run there together, Eon?" Immensely relieved that the guy he happened to meet shared the same first class as him, Drew was going to use Eon as his personal GPS for the time being, until he figured out how to navigate the building properly.

Charlie smiled, nodding as Elliot explained his views on history. He was absolutely right about the age of kings being fascinating, especially as it related to magic and such. She was very proud of her bakery's own heritage, passed down from person to person for generations. "That's fair. I don't pay much attention in English or bio, especially since I don't really need to learn them. I mean, I've pretty much already got my life's work going for me! It would be a little hard to be a writer or biologist and a baker," Charlie said, tapping the box under her desk with a light foot. She glanced at his stack of books again. "Well, if you're not a fan of history, what's got you hooked? Besides all of those, I mean," the teen said, gesturing to Elliot's novels. "You seem to have some of everything there."

Eon grinned, lifting his bag to his shoulder. "You sure you want to run there? Not to brag, but I've been known to go pretty fast." He gave a challenging hint to his grin, ready to start a race to English. If anything, he would only win by really knowing where the class was. He doubted his new friend knew where the room was.

Tapping his chin, Elliot hummed as he thought about what his preferred subjects were. School was more of a obligation and enjoying classes wasn't something that came easily him. It was just another aspect of his life that he was expected to excel in. "English." He finally answered, settling on the most obvious answer. "Not for any particular reason though. I just find that communication is important whether you're a baker or a musician, words will always be needed to make your intentions known." It was also the only class that allowed him to peacefully read without being yelled at but at this point he supposed that Charlie already knew that.

Thea jumps in her seat as the two people from before, her lovely friend SuperKamenWhoRiderLock and that one girl with the pink name, sit next to her.
"Haha yeah that's so cool," she mutters under her breath, slightly petrified. It isn't like she isn't used to oddballs in her life, but oddballs at school? Aren't those usually the delinquients? Was her dad right in his worries?
She sits completely straight and tries to focus on the teacher. After this class it was just Social Studies. That was good enough, right? She can focus in Social Studies. Sure.

Harper laughed nervously as she raised her eyes to meet Val’s. “Well, no. Uh, it’s complicated,” She stammered, rolling her eyes to look in far-off direction. She gritted her teeth and hesitated for a while, her eyes conflicted and thoughtful as she chose her words carefully. “I wasn’t planning on going to any lessons, if you know what I mean.” She muttered in a dead-pan tone, finally meeting his gaze.

"Ohh, maybe we could play... rock paper scissors." Ava suggested, very seriously, before enthusiastically highfiving Rosaline back. They turned to Thea again and started yell-whispering, not picking up on any sort of discomfort from the other. "Or say, do you have any better games? For the three of us, obviously- Unless you already have another friend here which is totally super duper cool with me!" With the way words flew out of their mouth so naturally, one can easily come to the conclusion that Ava always speaks before they think. If they even think at all.

"3 person rock paper scissors? sure"
rosaline also turns to thea. "you must have lots of friends, if you even knew ava before coming here! by the way ava, how did you know it was thea if you only talked on a forum?" rosaline cocked her head. thea hasn't been to any of the summer gatherings either.

Alex had being paying quite a lot of attention even if it was the first day. Taking notes and writing stuff he didn't know down, taking part, dawdling while looking at girls and all that stuff. The class was quite intelligent and much to his surprise the period was almost over.

Val watches carefully. His mouth, stuck in a permanent smile waits politely for Harper to say whatever she needs to say. When she finally gets to the last sentence, he can't really... feel his own body. He first notices that his mouth hangs right open five seconds later, hurrying to make some sense of himself.
"Really? Hahaha me too that's so funny we're really good at this huh let's just hurry over in this direction for no particular reason haha," he says as he nearly runs past the school's actual entrance and more towards... the blind side of the school.
'Oh, Valentin. You're really in for it now.'

"Oh, yeah, tons of friends..." Thea rubs the back of her head. 'I knew Ava was gonna be talkative, but I never imagined they would talk this much!' she hurriedly tries to think up some sort of excuse. Game. Whatever.

"I have a really fun game, actually!" she puts both of her hands up like a child's gameshow host. "It's called paying close attention to the blackboard!"
It is first afterwards that Thea realizes just how much like a pretentious old man she sounds like.

Harper winced at the panic she saw written all over Val’s face. Harper felt her face heat up with embarrassment as she trailed behind him, her teeth gritted behind her lips and her fists curled into tense balls. Her white knuckles itched for hard contact with a wall, a bin or something fleshy, but one glance at Val’s back seemed to relax this urge. She exhaled, relaxing her muscles. Then she realised where she was again. Oh, Harper. You’re really in for it now.

"that doesn't sound very fun... but sure" rosaline turns around and looks ahead but still tilts to the side and whispers to ava some dumb joke.
"I'm sure thea is really entertained by us right?? we are fun" she whispers

Ava shrugged to Rosaline's question. "I just guessed that it would be her, I mean, I'd have loved to help out anyone really!" They Lied. The last part, at least, the first part was true. They turn back to face Thea as she suggested her game and nodded slowly, mouth completely open. "Ooh! That sounds fun!! Okay!! I'm going to totally win, though." They lied again.

Ava slightly leans to Rosaline's side and giggles at the joke. They whispered back, "A cow on a trampoline? to make MILKSHAKE? That's hilarious, Rosa. You should totes do stand up." They genuinely suggested and then placed a finger on their chin, tapping almost rhythmically. "I mean, who wouldn't be entertained by us? We are super fun. Funnest people ever, even."

"GOOOD MORNING EVERYBODY" A thick Boston accent is heard as the door of the English class suddenly gets kicked open as a two meter tall man walks in "I am sorry for being late! I was rushing to get here so I tried jumping over some stairs but instead I feel and rolled on the floor for a good minute, HAHA, I think I am having a concussion!" The lad shouts as he confidently walks towards his desk. Two steps before he reaches his seat, he suddenly turns and shouts towards the group of Ava, Thea and Rosaline "I AM HIGH! ARE YOU???? HAHAHA, just kidding HAHAHA...unless...Hahahah" He follows his hearty laugh with backflipping then taking a seat behind them.
