Harper felt her breath catch in her throat. “A-actually, I wouldn’t recommend it.” She stammered a little too quickly, her hand immediately going to his shoulder, gripping him tightly but not enough to leave a mark. Her cheeks toughened as she gritted her teeth, brows furrowed. Harper wouldn’t call herself a reactionary person, but this moment appeared to be an exception.

Drew pounded after Eon, his footsteps echoing in the empty halls as he raced after his new friend. So maybe he'd had a slightly rocky start, but he found that he much preferred finding a new friend over being perfectly on time to class. "Right behind you!" Taking in his surroundings as much as he could while he ran, Drew wondered how long it would take him to memorize the layout of the school. It hadn't taken him too long to get used to his middle school, but this building looked huge in comparison. Better stick with Eon for a while to be safe.

Charlie quietly reflected that she'd very much enjoy reading a book written by him before focusing on his question. He'd seemed a bit nervous to ask, but she was honored that he felt comfortable enough to go ahead anyways. "I work at the Tavilla Bakery a few blocks away," Charlie answered smoothly, using her foot to slide the large box out from under her desk. Heaving it up onto her lap, she glanced around a moment before opening it halfway. "I brought donuts for lunchtime," she whispered confidentially. "But you can go ahead and try one now, if you'd like," the baker offered with a twinkle in her eye. "Don't worry, they're really good, and taste much better in the morning when they're fresh!"

As Eon approached the room he needed, he started to slow down, his turns becoming a bit more exaggerated and large, his footsteps becoming heavier and slower. Glancing over his shoulder, he gave a wide grin, then ducked to the side of the hallway and entered the English room. There, he waited for his new friend, ready to leap out and scare him; he'd done so since his freshman year, and he fully intended to continue.

Val suddenly feels as if he's a very small dog upon being gripped. Is this how that weird little chihuahua his elementary teacher always brought in felt? But he's a very big dog. The largest, some would say, (Val would say) so he tries to get himself free of Harper's hands with... mixed results. He isn't very strong.
"Isn't that just more reason to do it?" His smile stays strong as he glances around the school from his sitting position, exclaiming a little 'aha!' as he finally finds something interesting. "If I climb up there, I can stand on top of the school's building and jump over the specific buildings... Were... the platforms you jumped... flatter than these?"
