Hailey peeked her eyes through her fingers and calmed down a little bit. “I’m sorry! This is so embarrassing.” She said quietly while looking at them. Her social skills were awful, to say the least.

"Hey, hey.. Shshsh, it' alright." For having been secluded from the rest of the district for most of his life, Derek had a sort of ability to be social. His voice was soft, added to the smoothness it usually had, he found even himself calming down. "Can I see your face?" He had one hand on her shoulder, slowly rubbing a finger back and forth to help calm her.

Hailey’s hand slowly fell from her face, and hung by the side of her body. She looked away, not wanting to make eye contact.

Marshal finished his humongous plate of food, and put his plate to the bin of dirty dishes. He sat back down, watching the interactions between the small alliance that had already formed.

Five minutes felt like a damn eternity before Kardia, Merope, and Cerise were roughly manhandled out of the silver room. The guards had backed off when Adelaide's warning snarl rumbled around the room, promising a very very painful punishment for anything that would dare threaten them. It took only one glance at her suddenly vicious grey-blue optics, and the door slammed somewhat hurriedly. So much for a strong, intimidating front. With the odious peacekeepers out of the room, she was left to brood by herself, her eyes bared in a menacing glower; the look that usually invited challenge from the belligerent, and caution from the more...intelligent. There was much less restraining her from flaying their hides from their bodies than one might think, but when she was formally escorted to the train by two more white-armored brutes, she behaved herself. For all she knew, the guards found her equally fierce, and disagreeable. Adelaide whirled on them both, giving them a rather sultry smile in return, licking her lips with feline hunger.

The male on the right's cheeks ignited, much to Adelaide's delight, and the fae bared her perfectly white fangs fiercely before the train door closed. She hmphed slightly, scanning the garishly ornate train car. Despite her wealthy background, Adelaide had no interest in jewels; again harkening back to her rather brutish roots, she was more interested in quietly honing herself, be it with books or jewels. Be it with the mind or with the sword. In the distance, though far removed, she could hear the brilliant chatter of the other tributes, surprisingly merry given the circumstances. Adelaide huffed, the sound filling the train car. While her instincts communicated that she was not about to put up with significant company anytime soon. But, she did not intend to stay anywhere near the Cornucopia when the cannon went off after the bloodbath if she could help it. Chances were, she

When she noticed a fae tripping over her, she hissed in displeasure, drawing her legs up as she glared at the female.

"You're a 'kind child', there there~" Kanata giggled, petting Shioh's head and dampening her hair in the process. Truthfully he did want to join the small rag tag group, to protect them like a hero, but at the moment, he didn't have the power or strength to reach his hand out and help these poor people who had been thrown into a death game. Waving leasurely to his kind-of-not-really friend, Kanata wandered back into the bathroom and plunged into the overfilled tub, content to just float there until they reached their destination.

Derek put a finger on Hailey's chin, making her meet his gaze. He sighed. "I guess a promise is a promise." He checked back and forth, then adjusted himself so that only Hailey would be able to see his face when he removed his mask. Pushing up on the bottom of his mask, he removed it, giving her a half smile as his features were revealed. He placed his mask back after a few seconds, then said, "Thank you. What might your name be? I don't want to have to stick to calling you 'Mysterious Participant'."

Hailey examined his face, and then looked back down again. “I-it’s Hailey. Hailey Scott. I’m from district 13” she said to him. Her body was slightly shaking, but it would get better in time.

Shiloh watches Kanata, an amused expression on her face. She turns towards the food. I suppose I better take advantage of this she thinks to herself. She excuses herself from the group and plates up on some fruit. To her, fruit was a luxury item. She could hardly believe there was so much just sitting here. Now that the distractions of the group were gone, she found that her thoughts were returning back to her recent heartbreak. She lounged to wake up from this terrible dream.

Derek looked up at the ceiling. "Hailey. Hailey Scott. Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Hailey." He went to extend his hand for a handshake, then realized she was trembling. "Are you alright, Hailey? Can I get you anything? A snack? A drink?" He opened his arms. "A comforting hug?" He smiled a kind smile, but his porcelain accessory was back on, so she couldn't see it.

"Eep!" Emerson gasped, tripping backwards. "I'm so sorry!" she says, attempting to get away. "I didn't mean to trip-" a tear falls onto her hand and she wipes her eye hastily. She attempted to stand up, but was shaking. She was obviously afraid of Adelaide, but managed not to look like a fool.

Hailey shook her head, “I’m alright, thank you for the offer.” She said quietly. The train bumped again and out of habit she turned invisible. It was her natural instinct whenever she was scared.

Derek nodded, letting his arms settle to his sides. "It's only the train hitting an uneven rail. There's nothing to be afraid of." He looked around, then started on his way to a bench-seat nearby. Sitting down, he patted the seat next to him, not even knowing if Hailey was even in the same cart anymore.

Roxy had watched the whole incident go down and hadn't been able to say a word, though she nodded in agrement at the alliance.

Eve watched the other tributes mingle and talk, upon Kanata using his powers made her realise another thing: Everyone here had some sort of ability or power to assist them, she had none that she knew of, putting her at a huge disadvantage.

Hailey stayed invisible and sat down next to Derek, she felt a bit more comfortable because of him. But she was going to lay low for a bit.

Finn slowly woke up, and stood up. He passed Derek and the small group and grabbed a small plate of food. He didn’t eat much, but this food was amazing.

"So I guess the question now is this, what do you think they'll throw us into?" Roxy asked.

Eve watched the sencry outside the window, the blurrs of trees and other life outside pass by. She hadn't realized it but she was slowly scooting towards Shiloh and the others.

Marshal caught wind of what Roxy said, “Those capital ******* will find some way or another to screw us over just for laughs” he said in between bites of his food.

Eve flinched at Marshal's not so nice words. "That's not a very nice thing to say. . ." The child muttered softly as rested her head slightly on her plush.

Marshal rolled his eyes, “You’re gonna hear a lot worse then that while you’re here, kid.” He said to her while he finished another plate of his food.

Derek snapped his fingers, grabbing Marshal's attention, the sound somewhat different , even compared to somebody else with the same gloves. "In the meantime.." He gave a hidden glare to the boy. "Let's refrain from reaching the youth those words. I don't care if you curse alone, just.." He beckoned Eve over, offering to sit her on his knee. "Refrain from doing while by the children."

Eve hesitated but then slowly moved from her spot and st next to him, Derek gently picked her up and sat her on his lap, a flustered look popped onto her face.

Roxy laughed. "Aw, you're so cute."
