Emmie/Genesis shivers as another loud rumble echoes throughout the building. She goes back to helping evacuating the patients.

Helping people evacuate from 13, Gateguard glanced back occasionally worry filling his mind for those still inside as well as for Nova. He could go help, but in a situation like this, he'd only hinder more than help. His power was good for backup and crowd control so logically the best use of his talent was in evacuating people.

Rose finally exits the roof and goes down. She begins helping children escape. One trips on a wire and crashes into the ground. She hurries to the young girl and picks her up, slowly taking the crying child down into the "safe place."

*Dylan stood up and spat blood out of his mouth. His nose was bleeding as he looked at her* So your the mockingbird? Good *Dylan took out a pair of brass knuckles and began to charge then as he place them on his hands* That'll make this much more enjoyable *Dylan began to charge Nova*

Nova waited for him to get closer before puting up an energy sheld in the shape of a star that ricocheted his punch and power, making a loud BOOM echo, bot fighters were thrown back a few feet. Nova was quick to right herself and jumped from Dylan's next attack.

*Dylan charged his knuckles again and ran towards Nova. This time however, he hit the ground below her with one fist and hit her with the other. She flew backwards and hit a wall. Dylan began to charge his boot as the walked towards her* I thought you would be a challenge

Nova spat out blood and wipped her mouth on the back of her hand before getting up. Just as Dylan was about to attack Nova summoned the lasso of energy and slung it his way, wrapped it around him, trapping him. Nova glared at him before sending a surging energy pulse right at him, freeing him but sending him into a huge rock a ways away. It shattered and crumbled around him, some pieces trapping him inside the rock. Nova watched for a moment. "How's that for a challenge?"

When the ceiling started to quake, rubble and the sort rumbling threateningly like thunder over Adelaide's room, it had sent her into a trance. Silent. From trauma most likely; her eyes went staring and her eyes widened while her breathing appeared to be speeding up. Memories flooded her head, that of the tree falling on her, what happened before and after, as well as the Capital trauma. It took her a moment, one nearly fatal moment, to just get up and move. Shivering inwardly as each step appeared to be heavier than the next, but the Career's movements while robotic were efficient. She blended in with the crowd; what was left of her over-fried nerves and mind guiding her through the movements to help escort everyone out. Despite her fear...and the terror flooding her veins, she found herself going back for the stragglers; the helpless, the weak and the elderly and the young. She wouldn't leave anyone behind. Not a soul.

*Dylan stood up and looked at Nova. He tried to walk forward but a metal rod stuck out of his side. His hands began to surge* If I'm going down, I'm taking this whole place with me *Dylan touched his own body and began to turn himself into a human sized bomb. His cloths burned off and not long after, his skin began to peel away. He screamed in pain but continued* FOR SNOW!!!

Nova's eyes darted around for a moment as if trying to figure out a safe solution but ended up trapping him in a green sheild then lifted it with him inside. She gathered a large amount of energy and started using it to launched him as far as she could. He exploded in the distance but the waves still threw Nova back and she tumbled into a nearby tree and groaned, pushing herself up.

The explosion knocked Rose to the ground. She shakily stands up, but notices that her left leg seems to be broken. She sighs and limps carefully away. A sick feeling sets in her stomach. She shoves her doubts away and keeps walking. Her hair is coated in dust and ash, making her cough.

As Nova pulled herself up she noticed that swarms of Peacekeepers trudging along, towards them. Terror filled Nova and gimped back towards the others. "Get back inside!" Nova shouted at them as they started coming up to escape. "It's a trap! Our best defense is by staying inside!" Nova coughed into her hand and pulled it back to find blood, Dylan had gotten her good. She wiped the blood on her pants where it wouldn't be as noticeable. Gateguard and Adelaide were the first to notice Nova's slightly disheavled appearance, Nova hadn't realized she was falling until Gategaurd and Adelaide caught her by the arms.

This was not how Adelaide imagined she would be spending her afternoon.

There were too many Peacekeepers to simply chop down or mow down with a gun. The normal handguns or rifles from Thirteen wouldn't fire fast enough. Not to mention that Nova was in terrible shape. Adelaide couldn't move, couldn't decide what to do. Ten, eleven, twelve...fifteen, seventeen. At least eighteen from the first group alone. And they kept coming. Swarms of them, like large white tracker-jackers, coming right to their doorstep. Apprehension clouded Adelaide's mind, rising like bile in her throat. And they weren't the troubled souls from a month ago. Each was dangerous, and behind them lay a field of innocents. Only those who were fourteen or older had even held a gun before. (She assumed that Gateguard was not on the list...and it would seem that humans were not animals he could control completely.)

They were, in simple crude terms, utterly f—ked.

She echoed Nova; roared it at the District 13 civilians with every fiber of her being. Stay inside; coming outside would be like lambs to slaughter. The mine seemed relatively secure; at least it wasn't going to topple over on their heads.

Adelaide hesitated, visibly, in fact, cradling Nova while assessing the situation. Turn on her ability and shoot it out? Perhaps, but she wasn't willing to go charging in with innocent lives on the line. She cursed slightly at the blood literally coming out of Nova's mouth; internal organ damage from blunt physical trauma.

For the first time, Adelaide felt helpless. And it wasn't a good feeling at all.

Rose does the natural thing. She goes outside. She frowns at the predicament but doesn't react. She takes off for the woods, searching for the knife and bow that she and Mallory had stored there the last time they were there together.

Slight movements and shifts toward the back caused Adelaide to divert her attention briefly. Turns out, someone was coming forward, despite what common sense would allude to as basic safety. Her lips curled back as she let out a fierce, icy snarl. A warning, urging the fae to go back. Either Rose was stupid or brave or possibly both. Relenting, the white-haired fae took out a gun, the silver weapon gleaming cruelly in the moonlight, and tossed it Rose's way.

Weapons fired on either side as they attempted to take out their enemy. Adelaide and Gateguard booth carried Nova back to a bunch of trees where they tryied to asses Nova's injuries, knowing full well that if Nova died everyone was big time screwed. Closer inspection that it wasn't interal injuries as Adelaide had been dreading, but rather that Nova had bit her cheek too hard when she took the hit from Dylan.

Nova pushed herself up and started firing beams of energy at the incoming peacekeepers, even as they fell more continued to replace the others.

Rose ran back to the others. "I'll prove that I'm no 'lesser tribute'" she thinks glaring. She aims an arrow and shoots a peacekeeper through the head. She grits her teeth but says nothing as a spray of bullets make contact with her shin. Probably shattered, but she ignores the flaring pain.

Grasping Nova in his arms, Gateguard, whipped his head around, slightly disorientated. The chaos was loud and disruptive, buzzing throughout his body as it built up into a crescendo of pain and confusion. He could take care of the people though, he rationalized as he glanced at Adelaide. She looked terrified for once and Gateguard couldn't blame her, this was a situation that neither of them ever would have dreamed of being in.

Gulping down his fear, he left Nova in Adelaide's care before walking towards the people of 13. "Please, stay inside. There is a greater chance of survival if we simply stay put." His voice resounded around the space, power bouncing off every syllable as he opened his throat to let words pour from his lips, his own ability washing away most of the chaos that swarmed the cramped area. Although his powers were undoubtedly weaker on humans, they still had the same effect nonetheless as the people looked at one another, murmuring how it would be a good idea to simply stay put.

Sighing as energy drained out of his mouth, Gateguard swallowed down the blood bubbling in his throat and smiled towards the two. "That should solve one problem." He rasped out, keeping an eye on the citizens of 13. "I can calm the people. That's what I can do best. I leave the actual fighting to you two." His eyes were still sharp with determination and hope, his voice strong despite the damage done to it.
