"If he doesn't sing then we have to make him. Surely you've learned something about him with all the time he's been in this resistance." He watched them for a moment. "You've gotta be kidding me. He didn't tell you anything about himself, and you didn't suspect a thing? He didn't tell you what he likes, what he hates? His strengths and weaknesses?" His hands were out to the sides, as if he were holding up something large in front of his body.

Gwen sighs and shakes her head. "It's a complicated situation. I didn't exactly get much time to chat with him while we were out fighting for our lives" she replies bitterly. "I believe our best step is to trick Benton. Maybe we an create a rumor of a riot somewhere in the kingdom. With our luck, maybe one of them will show up?"

“I could be bait. I’m on their wanted list probably. And they’ll expect me to be pathetic because someone torched my eyes.” Luke said to them. “And I have a feeling something happened with Dylan. Was he ever on our side?” Luke missed Tani. He fumbles a bit as he remembers. He was blind! He wouldn’t be able to see Tani again. He sighs, then puts his arm on his leg and his chin on his hand.

*As the night rolled on, the group began to split up and look for Dylan. And although Gwen protested the idea, Maddy was adamant on finding him. Unfortunately, after several hours of searching and finding nothing, everyone began to make their way back despite Maddy's pleas to continue.*

Luke had stayed where he was because, well he couldn’t see anything to help look for Dylan and he thought he heard someone tell him to stay behind or something. He sighs to himself as he waits for everyone to come back. He wished he could help in some way.

Blossom had stayed behind with Star's kid and Luke, when she saw the look on Star's face she knew they didn't find him. "Are you going out to look for him again tomorrow?"

"We're going to have to, otherwise Maddy and I can keep looking." Star admitted rubbing her eyes.

"Is it even safe to remain hiding in these tunnels?" Gwen asks the group. She had been mostly quiet during the whole search. The heartbreak she felt in this situation silenced her. She blamed herself for everything that had happened, if only she haven't dropped her guard. Never again... "If Dylan is working for Benton, then we are sitting ducks down here. I think we are all too exhausted to move tonight, but we should consider relocating tomorrow." She messages her temples, feeling a headache coming on. She would love to be able to shut everyone out and fall asleep forever; but she didn't have time to wallow in self pity, their lives were on the line. "I'll keep first watch tonight. We should all be prepared to leave in a hurry... Just in case"

Luke sighs. “Isn’t there anything I can do to help? I know I’m blind, but I can hear better than I used to.” he said. He really wanted to help in some way. “Also has anyone seen Tani? I haven’t heard her talk all day.” He sounded a bit worried, b it she was probably fine.

Irin had stayed dead quiet throughout the search, his eyes growing red and bloodshot again. His hand remained on the handle of his knife no matter what, and throughout the search his grip had tightened. With a white knuckled grip on the handle, he hissed quietly, "Luke, you could help Gwen with the watch, can't you? It'll be safer, and you won't need to use any light. You'll be able to hear someone coming before Gwen will be able to see them." His usual logical mind was still there, but it seemed as if it wasn't, as if something was missing from a whole and leaving it as a quarter.

"That's a very good idea. Are you up for it Luke?" Sage asks Luke. The older woman looked exhausted, and for a moment, she looked exactly like her real age. Eighty-five years... she had been through a lot in her lifetime. She had seen new leaders rise. She, herself has become a leader. She had been alive during the reign of ancient beasts, and had one's powers flowing through her veins. She had fought in a war, and yet. She was at her most vulnerable right now. She didn't like that their backs were against the wall. That their own was a traitor, and that everyone was running on borrowed energy.

“Yes I am up to it. I don’t want to be the one person who didn’t help just because they had a disadvantage.” Luke said to Sage and then got up from where he was sitting. He had gotten used to the area so he didn’t bump into anything.

*Maddy walked away from the group and through the trees. She could see nothing, but she didn't care. Every tree she bumped into was merely an obstacle she had to overcome to find Dylan and save Tani. But as the sun slowly began to rise over the horizon, she fell to the ground. Defeated. Defeated that she failed. Defeated that the one she loved was gone. Defeated because Benton had won.*

Gwen had kept watch for most of the night. She waved away any offer to trade places with her. She needed this distraction, and she didn't think she would've been able to fall asleep anyway. But morning was close and Maddy still hasn't returned. Gwen leaves Luke to keep watch alone, she was planning on looking for Maddy herself. Gwen stays in the woods since that was where she saw Maddy last. Her senses felt dull now that wasn't safe in the tunnels, she regret not taking the opportunity to get some rest. She has a tight grip on the handle of her sword, feeling much more comfortable with it's presence. An hour passes, and morning is here, she could see much more easily, which means she can be spotted much more easily.

Gwen relaxes when she spots Maddy in front of her, she blames for exhaustion for missing the fact that Maddy was right in front of her. "Maddy?" Gwen asks. She crouches in front of her and pulls her in for a hug. "Hey it'll be okay. We'll find her, we just have to keep searching"

Star headed back out to find Maddy, knowing full well that she would need to Maddy the plan of relocating the group. Star had to squint with the dying sunlight sinking over the horizon, but she found Maddy on the ground, hugging herself as the feeling of defeat weighed her down. Star went over to her and helped her up. "Not all hope's lost Maddy, we just have to wait for Tani to wake up. Also, Gwen and Sage are suggesting that we move base from the tunnels to elsewhere, we're going to need all the help we can get."

Luke is as still as a statue at the moment, eyes closed and his ears listening for any little sound. He didn’t hear any breathing next to him. He wondered where Gwen was. He thinks maybe he should’ve tried to take back his sword earlier when he escaped. He doesn’t call out to Gwen because their cover could be blown. He heard a swift little crack of a twig. It sounded like a nearby deer, so he left it alone. It wasn’t a person because they would’ve made a softer crack. He heard Star leave a bit earlier so he relaxes a little bit.

*Maddy looked up at them and sorrowfully nodded. But then she heard something. She heard horses, riding through the woods. She grabbed Star and Gwen's hands and rushed them into some bushes just next to the treeline, where they all saw about four dozen Cloaks riding towards the city. But then they all saw one rider who looked different from the rest. He looked older, and more fearsome, and while the others didn't see it, Maddy saw his eyes were black.* Father.

Luke heard some horses in the direction that Maddy, Star, and Gwen were in. He wondered who they were. He goes down into the hole and shuts the entrance before anyone sees. “We have visitors.” he said. “Horses, and lots of them. Like about 50. Maddy, Star, and Gwen are still out there. Should we go find them?” he asked.

*Maddy was shocked. She hesitated before stuttering to answer Star* Im- I'm uh- I'm not really sure. Maybe, I dont know. But they are heading back to the city. *Maddy got up and rushed back to the hideout were she quickly ran around, looking for weapons, but found none that met her standards* Do we have anything that resembles a weapon?!

“I don’t know.” Luke said. “I was blind when I found this place here.” he said, stepping foreword to where Maddy was. He sighs. “I don’t know where weapons could be even if there were any in here that people knew about.”

Barry (forgot about the little dude XD) was stinging in the hallway. His leg still hurt a bit but he could but weight on it. He stood watching from a distance behind Luke to where Maddy was facing his direction. He didn’t want to have to talk. He knew where some weapons were.
