*Maddy looked at the two items and put them on a table. She thought to herself until finally reached a conclusion. She cut a piece of the stem up and put some of the powder on it before crushing the two together. Blossom watched Maddy curiously but then jumped forward when Maddy poured some of it into her mouth and onto her arm. Maddy's arm began to slowly heal as she looked at them then towards Gwen.* Where's Dylan?

"He left" Gwen replies carefully. She turns her head, slight irritation moving through her. Although she couldn't peg who she was irritated at. Them for targeting Dylan? Herself for overlooking all of this? Dylan... for- well... she didn't want to accept the reason she was mad at him. Even though she had once suspected it, she refused to believe it. "Do you seriously think he would purposely hurt her?" Gwen snaps. She jumps in surprise when Sage places a hand on her shoulder.
"Don't get defensive Gwen, we are just trying to figure out what happened. If he is truly innocent then you shouldn't be worried" Sage points out. Gwen doesn't reply, she shrugs off Sage's hand and walks away from the group.

Irin entered the headquarters of the underground forces, his eyes now red. He heard voices, but they were quiet. Following the sounds, he hardly noticed anything else. His eyes itched, and they had become bloodshot, the area around them becoming red. He didn't notice how heavy his footfall was either. He saw the door they were in, he heard the voices coming from it. He approached it, reaching a hand out to pull on the door.
Ah, so you, O Mysterious and Curious Soul, have come to seek answers in the abyss?

Do you know what lies beyond?

Do you want to?

Or has your curiosity reached a nervous end?

"What do you want?" Gwen asks harshly. She regrets it immediately. Nobody here deserves her rage... or do they? She bites the inside of her cheek, hating this position she was in. She raises an eyebrow at Irin's face, his eyes looked strange. But she was too fed up with the situation to question this new issue. She moves past him and makes a beeline towards the tunnel that leads to the house.

Irin looked at the others. "Where is he?" He took a step inside. "Where's Dylan?" His eyes were narrowed, his body poised for an attack. It was clear he wasn't going to attack them, but he seemed battle ready, even without a threat."I need to talk to him." His aggression could be compared to a wolverine, enough to drive wolves off their meal. But even then, it was more than just that. In the back of his mind, a voice said, "He insulted your father, everything he created. Even without knowing what really happened. You aren't going to let him do that, right?"

Barry is in the hall, listening to the argument. Was Dylan really bad? He wanted to find these things out for himself, but was afraid to go out alone. He sees Gwen heading his way and quickly starts running. His leg felt a lot better, and he only limped a little. He wished he knew how to get the stupid stick out though...

Luke somehow either got knocked out by a branch or fell asleep somehow, but he woke up. He wonders where he was, then suddenly remembers the growling. Did the beasts find him and went back to their leader. He shakes it off and then gets up, then starts walking around. He wished he could see what kind of condition he was in. His arm was red with dried blood, but he didn’t feel the blood from it still dripping and his head hurt a bit, so he probably hit a branch. He walks, then sits down on a stump, or at least he thinks it’s a stump. He sits, trying to wrap his head around what had happened.

Sage sighs. "Love is certainly blinding. But it is quite strange that he'd take off if he were innocent" she offers Maddy a tight smile. "At least now we'll know if he really is on our side or not. We'll have to see how he reacts to your return when he returns" she points out. "We just have to hope that Gwen keeps her wit and doesn't reveal that you returned if she happens to see him first" she turns to Irin, who was still waiting for an answer. "Are you okay!?" She asks. "You look like you just rubbed poison ivy over your eyes!" She shakes her head. "And Dylan isn't here. Nobody knows where he went"

Irin seemed set off by that, even more than he already was. His teeth gritted, his fists shook. "He's a lying little rat! He knows too much for it to be natural! He's with Benton, I'm absolutely sure!" He stormed out of the room, headed for the nearest exit, one hand on his knife. It was clear nobody was going to change his mind , and it was clear he meant to find, and kill, Dylan.

Gwen spots Irin moving towards the same exit she is heading towards. She narrows her eyes, the way he walked was all too familiar. She felt the same way he feels right now back when she killed Francis. "You better not be doing what I think you're doing" she warns. "This is all a huge misunderstanding... I'm sure of it" she doesn't sound too confident when she says this. "I know he dishonored you, but we can work it out" this comes out sounding desperate, which Gwen silently curses. She moves to the side to block the exit. She crosses her arms, although her hand itches to grab her sword. But she knows better than to threaten an already agitated person.

Barry leaves the entryway as he saw Irin leave and he then sees Gwen and Irin arguing. He hides behind a wall and pokes his head out and starts listening to them. He was confused about who the good guys and the bad guys were right now. He wished he could’ve just gotten out of the kingdom before the attack, or he wouldn’t have to stay here.

Irin's eyes travel up and down her body, taking in her obvious strengths and weaknesses. Finally, his eyes meet hers. They don't look the same. They're shadowed, red, filled with something beyond rage and pain. His voice is a whisper, warning her: "Step aside, Gwen. You've known him for too long to realize his true face. I have proof of you want it.." He smiled slowly, the grin adding something more to his expression. " Besides, I don't want you to get hurt while I'm going after him. Collateral damage is hard to explain. "

A shiver runs through her, the way he was acting made her feel uneasy. But she doesn't move, not yet at least. "You are a fool if you think I'll move aside without an explanation. I love him" her voice catches slightly. "-...Or maybe I just allowed myself to love the person he made us believe was him" she shakes her head. "He is hiding something from us, and I have a feeling that you know what it is. Tell me who he is, and then I'll consider moving aside"

Irin chuckled a little, then said, without any hesitation after, "To explain, I need you to move aside. All my evidence is with my father's work. And trust me, I think you'll be convinced enough to join me in hunting him down." His posture straightened a little, and his rage had settled, but it was still there nonetheless.

She narrows her eyes. "If this turns out to be a trick..." She steps aside for him, but her glare never leaves. "I'll stab you in the throat" she replies simply, unable to think of a better threat.

Barry heard this, then extends his head a bit more. He wanted to see if there was going to be an agreement or a giant get scene. If there was a giant fight scene, then he would move somewhere else so he also doesn’t get stabbed.

Irin nodded slowly, then said quietly, "To preserve yourself or to preserve the traitor?" Meeting her eyes one last time, he stepped through the doorway and started on his way back to the household he lived in. Everything he needed to prove it was right there. Now, he just had to hope Dylan hadn't decided to raid the place. He wouldn't do that. Her didn't know he had a reason to. Right?

She doesn't answer his question, mostly because she doesn't like the answer. As she follows Irin she thinks about the whole situation. Blossom and Irin both seemed to think that Dylan was a traitor. Heck, even she thought the same at some point. So why was she so determined to prove that he wasn't? Was she really this blinded? She curses underneath her breath. If he turned out to be a traitor, then she failed the whole kingdom. She could've stopped the attack... Or maybe at the very least, they could've been much more prepared. Maybe that's why she is so determined for him to be on their side. Her heart and her honor were both at risk.
