It’s been a century since the great war. Giratina and his forces stormed the world by force, coming back from the distortion world to take revenge on Arceus for trapping him inside. He wanted to exact his revenge by destroying everything that Arceus had created and cared for, and he almost succeeded. Thousands of pokemon sacrificed their lives to fight Girantina’s Army, who were promised power and glory in exchange for their service. The pokemon in Giratina’s army were upset at the state of the world, and that Arceus allowed pokemon to be so evil as to kill and fight with each other over unimportant details, and wanted to make a change.

You live in a town called Torterra Town, a village tucked in a basin in a mountain range, with a lot of history with the war. The nearby mountain, Mount Eternal, is the tallest mountain in the world, and is where Arceus was said to reside, though that was just a myth. Either way, Girantina intended to destroy Arceus and the mountain there, telling him that if he didn’t show up for a fight, he would have his massive amount of forces destroy the remaining towns immediately. However, Girantina wasn’t counting on pokemon from all over the world traveling to the mountain, as well as legendary pokemon, to take on his army. All of the pokemon worked together to protect their home, and many died defending it, including many of the legendaries. However, their deaths were not in vain, as the pokemon managed to hold off Giratina's army so that they couldn’t attack Arceus, as the creator pokemon himself took down Giratina, before ascending back into the heavens, tired from the fight. Giratina was locked back in the distortion realm and chained back up.

Exhausted, the pokemon of the world rebuilt their towns, and remembered the reason Giratina gained so many followers: Pokemon were being unfair and cruel. They tried and remembered to not let that happen again. They’d all learned a lesson. They made many books and artworks depicting the fight as a reminder. However, a century later, the pokemon of this generation have mostly forgotten this, or don’t care much about it. But, all in all, the world is in a much better state than it was after Giratina’s attack.

You’ve grown up in Torterra Town your whole life, and have learned a lot about this historic battle. Recently, the town Xatu has been having horrible visions and dreams of a second battle. No one knows if it will really happen, but the town is very traditional, and most pokemon think that it's better to be safe than sorry. You, yourself, have also been having strange dreams lately… The citizens of Torterra Town are planning to discuss the Xatu visions tomorrow, and everyone in town is worried that something terrible will happen…


Gonna let you guys know in advance, the plot centers in your characters quite a bit, so I’ll probably have some sort of plan in mind for them… which might slightly contradict your own, but it's a cool plan, I promise, and it won’t ruin most other plans you’ll have for your character, too.

Also, I’ll be the narrator in this RP, and I’ll help describe the surroundings, and I’ll also RP the NPCs.

Appearance: Normal vaporeon, a little extra floof on her head

Backstory: She once put together a rescue team, but they aren't as active now, mostly they all try to live a normal life.

Personality: Reserved, quiet. Used to be a natural leader, and still is, wanting the best for the team, but speaks up less, despite being a constant critic, judging the every move of the pokemon around her. Due to the fact that she doesn't do hero stuff anymore, she pays less attention

Backstory: She had a fairly normal family and life. Her parents weren’t big fans of violence, and she learned from them.

Personality: Summer is a Pacifist. If possible, she wouldn’t fight at all. She never strikes out in anger and distances herself from those who do. She thinks that the pokemon following Giratina have a point, but they should have gotten it across in a less violent way.

Other: I love Reshiram, but I like Vaporeon more. Maybe it should be considered a legendary since it’s apparently what Suicune once was?

Appearance: He looks like your typical croagunk, but he wears dark goggles as his eyes are fairly sensitive to light. He has a large jagged scar travelling across his cheek.

Backstory: As a child he decided he wanted to form his own adventure team. Of course, being the young Croagunk he was he threw together a small group and they left out on their first adventure. While exploring and adventuring they got a little rowdy and started to mess around. A rather large rock had come loose above them and it fell down, cutting Jericho's cheek, leaving the scar. He panicked and ran right back home, but his small group had been left behind and got lost. An adventure team had only managed to bring back about half of his "adventure party".

Personality: Jericho is a little jumpy and very non-confrontational. He doesn't really talk much anymore, opting to communicate through his body language and expression. He sometimes might experiences a burst of his old energy, but for the most part he keeps to himself and doesn't venture out much anymore.

Other: Reshiram, but Pawniard is pretty cool!

Questions: I hope his age is okay? I could also choose another pokemon if it makes things easier
