Perhaps the players which already own a lot of Shiny-Megas are against this suggestion. But there are a lot of players with long chains and without a Shiny-Mega. These hunts are totally boring and frustrating and I know some players which were leavin ph only because of this frustrating hunts. And I ask: "How can we get them all, if one hunt can take a year or more?" I dont want to be 100 to get them all. My Suggestion is easy. Every 5000th hatched egg in a chain should be a Shiny-Mega (if the poke is megaable). The Shinymega can come earlier, but the 5000th egg should by guaranteed. So much fustration could be prevented.

It’s a great idea, but I feel like this could be “exploited” or something in some kind of way. Besides, what if people like the challenge? It would be weird having an option to turn it off...

I hope i explained the idea good enouth, because english is not my motherlanguage :O . The Shiny-Mega can of course come earlier. But if a Player hasent got it until egg 5000 , then he should be sure, that the next egg will be one. This can prevent too much Frustration.

Having a guaranteed Shiny Mega at 5000 is not really gonna make shiny megas all that more common, though.
They'll be hunted more, which could impact their presence, but they're not gonna be cheap as dirt and they're still gonna be rare.

Even if you're lucky with the DayCare and get 10 eggs per day hatched, if you need those 5000 eggs, you're still gonna be busy for over a year, just for one shiny mega. Then there are gender-variations of certain pokémon, so even if there's a guaranteed shiny mega at 5000, you might still need to continue, because the gender is wrong.

Honestly, as someone who has been annoyed by chance [because Lady Luck does not like me], I will always support suggestions that take away from the randomness/chance in a (to me at least) reasonable way.

I doesnt fully agree with this suggestion. But i think there is another alternative. Instead of a guaranteed shiny mega, for every x number of eggs hatched in a chain, the chances of having a mega-able appear on a shiny pkmn also increases.

A shiny mega is something special, a user has to work hard for.
It's not guaranteed, it takes alot of patience, but the joy of hatching one is incredible if it happens.
Making it guaranteed would not only take away the surprise and happiness of hatching one, it would make it something that isn't special anymore.
If this would be implemented, the site would be flooded with easy rarity shiny megas like Gengar and Pidgeot, because the eggs can be bought for 5+5 gems each. That means you get a shiny mega for every 1000+1000 gems, and 1000 gems of one kind is super easy to collect. (of course, except dragon).
Suddenly these shiny megas wouldn't be worth anything anymore.
Some things on this page are rare and thats good. If you make anything easily accessible, it would take away the fun of this game for alot of people.
For the argument that people spend months on chains with thousands of eggs and its exhausting: Yes it is. I spend over a year hatching thousands of eggs but in the end it was worth it. And I did it very inefficiently.
Sometimes people have bad luck, but thats life.
You can't tell the lottery to make every 100th ticket you buy a guaranteed jackpot of 1000 dollars.
This suggestion wouldn't help low-level non premium users either.
The 'richer' premium users can easily aquire more gems than anyone and would get even richer with getting multiple guaranteed shiny megas, while the newer users can't really make a use of this.
I understand why this would be useful for some users, but I still see alot of reasons why I don't support this suggestion. And it's not because I don't want others to get SM. I am happy for anyone who has the luck to hatch one.

Support; but with one little exception:

As someone who as already suffered a extremly-long-hunt (21k+) i would support that have "a goal" where you know that you will finally find peace" xD

But honestly: If somebody spends the time/gems/whatever to hatch 5k eggs, that user should be rewarded with at least one shiny-mega.

The exception i would make here is the following: If a user gets a Shiny-Mega at maybe 4950 that user would totally go for another one for sure and thats the point where we could exploit this.

Therefore i would add, that we dont get a shiny-mega at chain 5k, but at least every 5k eggs (so the timer starts at egg 1 but gets reset when we hatch a shiny-mega, so the next guaranteed would be after another 5k eggs).

Example:

Shiny-Mega at Chain 4k --> next "guaranteed" shiny-mega will appear at Chain 9k.

Nah not everyone would chain up to 5k since most of the time shiny-megas hatch earlier. It would mainly prevent horrible chains (some users even complain about 3k and more as horrible)

I think this is a brilliant idea and if it were implemented I might actually attempt a sm hunt, but I think it might also be a bit cheaty - or something. So semi-support?
