To be honest, i dont get it .. O.o
You need to have them level 100 before you place them in your party?

Considering you need to get them as Eggs, I think it doesn't matter if they stay in your party. The thing is that when they reach level 100 or higher, they need to be in your party before you post here.

But during the leveling process, they don't have to stay in your party, I believe.

I agree with Isk. Non-premium users will be lucky if they manage to get one first.

I think I'll hold out on this one. I don't want to waste my time leveling up Mareeps only to find out I won't be getting one of these. I know that's pessimistic, but whatever. XD I'll just buy one off of someone who breeds them and shiny hunt it.

Well, I have to agree that a few people might have an advantage here. And no, I'm not talking about "being popular" or other things like that that I've already read in the comments. I'm indeed talking about things like being a premium member. Also time zones matter here, I guess.
I mean, this is mostly about speed ("first x users getting y prizes"), right? So people who've read the announcement right after it's release could start right away while people being asleep or just not home at all could only start hours later. I think a start button or something like this that you would have had to press once you wanted to start this challenge would have been a nice thing. Basically like a stop watch. It would take the time you really needed to get this challenge done.
Well, it's too late for something like this now anyway but maybe for possible future events like this. ;)

Awesome idea Liirah! ^^
It would also be better if this idea were to be implemented for SCE's ^^

I have one question, I couldn't find any mareep at all in tall grass. Like literaly at all!
Quote from Tall GrassYou can search for every egg species in the tall grass that is recorded in your Pokédex.

You can check my pokedex and see that I already have mareep, falfy and ampharos.
Mareep pokedex number is #179, but I coudn't find it anywhere in tall grass.

Pookeboo: Did you hatch those Mareeps yourself? To be able to search for Pokemon in the tall grass you need to have the Pokemon's eggdex entry. Meaning that the Mareeps have to have been hatched by you.

1. Users who are currently hunting Mareep can obviously continue their hunt - every hatched Mareep counts for their chain.

2. Time zones don't really matter - everyone who was online when the event started is propably asleep now and can't really make any more progress, whereas members who where asleep when the event started can now start right away.
The only users who profit from this "time zone problem" are members who are online 24/7, but it wouldn't matter for them either, wheter the contest startet at 12 AM or 12 PM.

3. Premium members do indeed have a slightly advantage, but it doesn't make it impossible for "normal" members to get the shiny Furfou. In fact, they just have to work a bit more to achieve this goal - but all in all, it's possible for them, too.
There are always people with "higher advantages" in contests. You can also argue that some users have better internet connection and can therefore make more interactions per minute. Or members who don't have to go to school/work and can more spend time on this.
But all in all, everyone* is able to paricipate in this raffle, so I'd consider this contest as "fair enough".
*everyone who spent enough time on PH to get the Mareep EggDex entry.

4. Pookeboo: You need it's EggDex entry.

I'm really sorry everyone, I must have missed out alot Dx
Yes, I didn't hatch those mareep my self, so I guess I have to break my chain to complete this event?

Like it was said in the first post: Mareep doesn't break your shiny chain. So you can first try to get a Mareep Egg from the Lab/Daycare to get it's EggDex entry and then start searching for it in the Tall Grass. No need to break your chain.

Well, you don't necessarily need to be online to get your adopts levelled, just saying. :b

Yes, you can adopt Mareep eggs from the lab - they won't break your chain in case you're hunting something. But these won't count for the contest, I believe. The first post states that those counting for the contest have to be found in the wild (aka Tall Grass).

I've got a little question. Do they have to stay mareep, or will a Level 100 Ampharos be fine as long as it was obtained during the event?
