1. Yes you can. Everyone has the ability to get the ap for the zorua and potentially the flute. I still haven't gotten flute myself so it's not a pro vs newbie thing. It literally is just rng + plus having the time to do the interactions to get multiple zorua.

Besides you are getting something as a newbie. Zorua and later on growlithe plus the potential to get shiny versions of them as well as potential for secret items. You can also build up dream points as you interact for the potential to get a shiny mew.

From my own experience you have to work for a lot of the nice stuff on this site. It doesn't just hand all the special things to you. Take the time to click and you'll be rewarded. Imo this is a very newbie friendly event. Not a lot is locked out to you(maybe the usage of the azure flute which we don't even know what it does at the moment) so if you put in the time to interact you can pretty much get most of everything.
