Totem Pokemon

we know here in ph, there are certain pkmns (such as cherrum, arceus, hoopa, etc.) that if holding certain items will change its form... in pokemon sun and moon, there are also special pokemon which looks different from the ordinary pkmns. these pkmns have their own totem form.
then what if we also introduce totem pkmn here in ph? but how? well, one suggestion is by holding them an item- an item that currently is not that "useful" here in ph; the strange ornament...

but why strange ornament?
strange ornament can be randomly fished in emera beach, and is used to unlock shiny rod... but if u already have a shiny rod, it would be then useless (unless trading them in gts or selling them). by using it in changing pkmns in their totem form would make it useful...

See, I just don't see the point. They're pretty much just a super size Pokémon and since this site doesn't have weight/height. There isn't much of a reason why there should be totem sized Pokémon & unlike Pumpkaboo, Totem size Pokémon stats stay the same. It would just be filler for the dex. I mean I know Pokefarm Q did it, but thats because they keep on bringing new Pokémon and there spriters have enough time for this. These spriters do not, and I don't think using their time for 10 bigger Pokémon would be ideal. About the strange ornament - this would probably be the best route for totem Pokémon though.

People often think the PH sprites are bland. Do they shade? Well, yes they do. You'll be surprised how much care is taken for these sprites.

@mrinja- totem pokemon are just there for collecting purposes... there are several collectors here in ph, and i say that totem pkmns are a good addition to their collections...this way ph would be more like the pokemon world- which is its distinction among all other adopting sites... as for the difference with the normal ones, just like u said, resizing their image (or changing the image orientation) would be a good one to differentiate the two... (if we will proceed to resizing the image, then it wouldnt be no trouble for the sprites)...


@braixie- i dont think that this has been suggested before.. :(.. i mean ive searched the search tab but i couldnt find one...

So you guys are saying they just have bigger appearances and are there for collecting? I know very well that there aren't many dedicated battlers here on ph but as I am one I would love these (In the Alola games they have increased stats, I believe they could here too)here on ph. It would add another aspect to battling, and it would make them more exiting since battling here on ph is rather... lacking.

Before the Tapus got released here, I had honestly thought Strange Ornaments would be associated with them in some type of way and would put them to a lot better use, just wanted to say that. It would have been great, fishing, beaches, Hawaii, Alola, it fits the entire theme.

This idea isn't half bad, however.
