A short Guide/FAQ regarding Breeding and the Daycare.

Q: Do I have to deposit money in order for my Pokémon to lay eggs?
A: Yes. Your balance has to be positive and at least at 100 Pokédollar in order for two Pokémon to have a breeding chance in the following hour.

Q: My Pokémon do not lay any eggs. Why?
A: Does it say "The two prefer to play with other Pokémon than each other."? In that case, they are not able to breed at all. In any other case: Have a bit patience. It may take a while for them to lay eggs.
Also make sure that their (First) Egg Group matches. For dual Egg Groups, the DayCare only looks at the first one.

Q: Can I breed Event Pokémon?
A: As long as their Egg Group does not say "Undiscovered" you have a chance of breeding success. However that chance is very small.

Q: Can I breed Retros/Legendaries?
A: No, that's not possible. Only Mewtwo, Arceus, Genesect and Deoxys can be bred, and only with a Ditto

Q: Are there any positive influences on the Breeding Chance?
A: Yes. If your Pokémon have the same number in the Pokedex the chance will be higher. Also if one of your Pokémon is originally from a different trainer you will have a higher possibility of breeding successfully. Also if you're a Premium User you have a + 20% chance for eggs.

Other ways to influence your breeding chances positively are:
- Give both Pokémon Everstones
- One of them has to have a different OT (Original Trainer)
- Using White Flutes and Black Flutes to double your chances of getting eggs for 7/30 days. You can find those Flutes at the Special section of the Item Shop
Thanks to Toothless.

Q: My Pokémon does not have any gender. How do I breed it?
A: You need to have a Ditto for that.

So, quick question. For the breeding, is it more likely to be the same species as the male parent, female parent, or is there a racially equal chance...?

It's 50:50, unless you're breeding with Event Pokémon ;)

..........
...I keep getting eggs with no money in my deposit. :|
I just got one with absolutely no money in. Yesterday it did the same for me.

So you have 2 Pokemon and Daycare and 100 Pokedollar deposited. When a new hour starts, the money is reduced, but the effect holds on for the next 60 minutes. Maybe that's why you still get eggs.

Hm....Well it was less than 60 minutes apart this time.
The empty deposit message was from 55 minutes ago, and the egg message from 15.

I see now. Thank you!

Where can you see what egg group a Pokémon belongs to?

i also got a question regarding breeding eggs, is the chance with only one pokemon which has another OT bigger like breeding with both OTs from another trainer?

since i got two pokemon of the same species with other Trainer OTs but it also says "very well" in the daycare.

thx in advance^^

As long as both trainer IDs are different from each other it's the same as an Egg with your ID and someone elses.

What's the percentage of getting an egg if "the two seem to get along"? :3

I keep getting an error message every time I try to put a pokemon in the daycare. I put money into the deposit, but still can't put a pokemon in the daycare..

If a Pokemon is dusy doing something else (like it's in the Auction House, GTS, a rumble mission, or your Battle Team), it can't do anything else. Maybe that's your problem :3

If Riako sticked to the original PokéDex - and I assume he did so - no. Illumises are female only, while Volbeats are male only.

So according to the guide, if I were to breed a festival Ralts with a normal male Ralts, I'd have a small chance of getting festival eggs. My question is whether the two kinds of eggs count towards the same chain, in other words, whether it's possible to increase the chance of getting a shiny event pokémon this way. The chance of that happening is probably ridiculously low either way and I'm not about to try anytime soon, but... I'd still like to know. ^^ Thanks!
