Seeing the mobs that were now following them, Gateguard growled and barred his teeth at the attackers. "Stop following us around, damn it! Go back whence you came." He commanded, and to his surprise a few zombies heeded his request and shambled away. It wasn't nearly enough but it did make the numbers more manageable

The horse was a damn rebel, that was for sure, but Adelaide was fortunate enough to be sitting on her back. A saddle that she'd found in the blacksmith house lay on the mare's back. It was seriously getting dark now, and Adelaide thought with no small amount of chagrin that a night-vision potion would come in handy. However, she was not looking forward to a trip to the Nether. She dug her heels into the mare's sides and Elina lept forward. Hunching over the black mare's back, Adelaide kept her eyes on the towering mountainous horizon, hoping nothing bad had befallen her allies.

Tempest does the best she can, shifting into both an ocelot to scare off creepers and quickly changing into a wolf to scare off skeletons. She can't do too much to scare off the zombies. The constant shapeshifting was beginning to wear down on her. She tackles down a zombie and ducks underneath an arrow. She was really regretting not grabbing a weapon.

"Pace yourself, Tempest!" Gateguard yelled over his shoulder, wielding the staff he had grabbed. He wasn't very good with it, simply using sweeping strikes knock away anything that came to close. His own voice was sore from demanding these creatures to simply stay away from them, holding back the waves as best as he could. Batting a rotten arrow away from himself, Gateguard wiped away the sweat building on his forehead. "But we can't last like this for long."

"We are going to have to run for it" Tempest shouts over an explosion of a stray creeper. She was lucky that she just barley managed to hop out of range of the blast. "If we run into the woods we can take shelter in a tree. That way, only skeletons will be able to get us, maybe not even that if we outrun them"

"On the count of three we run for it." Gateguard nodded, hopping away from a lunging skeleton. "One, two, GET AWAY FROM US." He screamed, using the momentary shock of the monsters to grab Tempest's wrist and book it away from the mountains. He stumbled slightly at the sudden speed he put on but kept going, scrambling over the terrain to get away.

Tempest shouts out in surprise, but she manages to keep up with Gateguard's pace. She finds that running down the mountain was much easier than racing up. Gateguard's ability had done the trick, the mobs in the surrounding area barley bothered them. By the time they noticed them, Tempest and Gateguard would've already passed them, so they quickly lost track of the two.

(So Imma do a thing quick before I leave for the barn.)

Something was happening to the arena, they made out of the mountains and the forest was in sight, it looked like they were home free when the two bumped into nothing. Wait, what? Tempest and Gateguard only had to move their hands to each side a little ways to know that they weren't going anywhere. Not to the forest as they planned, not to the sides, and most definaly not behind them as that's where all the mobs are coming from. A trick of the gamemakers, the Captial must be wanting more blood as there where no deaths today.

Leaf set Sage back down in her crib once the baby had fallen asleep then walked back to Harlow and wrapped her arms around her lovingly. "When we make it back," Leaf purred in Harlow's ear somewhat seductivly, "I say we made a gaint swimming pool by our house so we can swim all we want."

Panic moves through Tempest as she slams her fists against the invisible barrier. They were going to die, weren't they? Suddenly, something clicks inside of Tempest, she stops punching the barrier and slowly turns around to face the mobs. If she is going down, she'll be going down fighting. Adrenaline courses through her veins, giving her exhausted body the final push she needs. She changes into the strongest animal that pops into her head. A tiger; this large animal would cause her a lot of strain, and she would definitely not be able to hold it for long. But if the Gamemakers intended on killing them, she mind as well die looking powerful. "Stay back" she warns Gateguard. "You need to return back to your family." She suddenly charges towards the mobs, automatically getting hit with arrows. But she had so much adrenaline moving through her that she barley noticed.. at least for now.

The black mare was fast, Adelaide begrudgingly admitted as Phantasia's swift canter brought them closer and closer to the mountainside. It appeared that more and more mobs were starting to notice her as well, and arrows rocketed deathly close to her back. Skeleton arrows could be quite accurate, especially since Adelaide deduced they were on hard mode. She struck a spare torch and held it out in front of her, and her heart plunged as she heard screaming. The entire mountainside was teeming with hostile mobs. And it was also very very dark. Pebbles clattered as Phantasia forced herself up the unstable mountaintop. Following the screaming, Adelaide drew her scythe as she came up on the side, slashing through mobs. Tempest and Gateguard were there too, trapped and fighting for their lives. The white-haired career howled a war-cry, Phantasia rearing, and attacked from the back, desperate to reach her allies. Between her wild scarlet eyes, strong black horse, and scythe raised high, she was a terrible sight.

"Tempest, No!" He screeched lunging to pull the girl back but his hand closed on empty air as Tempest leapt into the fray. He watched with fear as Tempest carved out carnage and dust around her. Shaking himself out of his stupor, he grit his teeth and charged in himself, sticking close to Tempest. The Game makers water a show, right? He'd give them a show damn it, he'd show the capital what it meant to die for ones ideals. Adrenaline was pumping through his ears and he nearly missed the bright braying of a the new arrival but the war cry that had been ripped from Adelaide's throat certainly caught his attention. A laugh bubbled up within him as he kicked back a skeleton, wobbling as an arrow struck him instead. They were all going to die together as a team.

Just as the last strands of hope snapped, above all the mob cries a loud whip like CRACK! suddenly made itself known, as if it demanded to be agknowledged followed by a glint of silver. When Gategaurd followed the source he saw Nova with a small wolf pack of tamed wolves with her, she jumped down and the wolves followed her. Nova unsheathed an iron sword and attacked the closest mob to her and the wolves went to work on attacking it while Nova struck a sketeton that was about to shoot another arrow at Gategaurd.

Between Nova and the pack of wolves, the group was making headway when one of the bigger Creepers threatened to explode. Nova's iron sword broke so she tossed it aside and pulled out her energy filled whip and a sheild. "Catch!" She tossed a spare sheild to Gategaurd and his allies before turning back to watch a wolf with a green collar get caught in the blast of a diffrent creeper. Nova grit her teeth and cracked the whip above their heads, the energy sizzled and popped. The last small handful of mobs froze, as if they were suddenly very afraid.

Tempest's anxiety had initially grown when Adelaide joined the fight, it only got worse when Gateguard fought too. She didn't want them to die, not like this. When Nova suddenly appeared to help fight, she nearly collapsed in relief. But the fight wasn't over yet. With Nova, Gateguard, and Adelaide working together, the three were quickly able to mow down the remaining mobs. Tempest barley had to do any work. Which was good because her movements had become slower with every moment that passed. She suddenly falls, her form quickly becoming smaller and returning back to normal. She shuts her eyes, refusing to look at herself. The countless wounds she had obtained was now catching up to her. She makes the mistakes of opening her eyes once, only to be met with the sight of blood everywhere. How many wounds had she obtained? She refused to check, that wasn't important, what was important now was focusing on staying alive.

One of the wolves with a blue collar licked Tempest's cheek as if in greeting before mowing down a baby zombie that attempted to get near her. With the last of the mobs finally gone the group could relax.

Nova spotted Tempest on the ground and carefully pulled her up. "Hang in there." She looked at Gateguard. "Can you carry her?"

To Gateguard, Nova looked like a war god, descending from the skies to sweep away the enemy with one word. Numbly nodding, he gently scooped Tempest up and cradled her close wincing at how many wounds she had littered around her body. "Thank you." He forced out, nodding towards Nova

Nova nodded and waved them on to show them to her house, the rest of the wolf pack tailing behind the gang. When they got there it was a small house surounded by a tall wall of wooden planks and an iron door. She pushed a botton and led the others in as the door shut behind them and the wolves. Nova set down her stuff then carefully led Tempest to a spare bed so she could rest, the wolf who had seemed to be attached to Tempest curled up at the foot of the bed. A wolf with a lime green collar looked up at Gategaurd adn wagged its tail. Nova dug around in a chest that was labed with bread (viva item frame) and pulled up a few baked potatoes and dropped them in Tempest's lap before turning back to dig around more in the food chest.

Nova's house seemed well made, with a large lake and some sand at the back of her house and a very roomy kitchen/living room with a spare few beds to the far left. Gategaurd then noticed a small 1x1 hole in the ground that just seemed to go straight down only an oak trap door blocked unsuspecting people from falling in.

A black and white cat sat upon a chest labled treasures (with a diamond in a item frame), it stared at Gategaurd blankly as it flicked its tail.

Tempest raises an eyebrow at Nova. She tries to speak but she only manages a cough. She swallows and tries again. "With all due respect..I need some form of medical attention, food can come later" Tempest tells Nova. She wants to say so much more. She wants to thank Nova for saving them, thank her for taking them to her shelter, she wants to ask Nova why she is doing this. Most importantly, she wants to know if Gateguard and Adelaide are okay. But Tempest knows that she doesn't have the strength to say everything she wants. She simply closes her eyes, a small smile appearing on her lips when the wolf licks her hand. It's way of comforting the girl.

Nova looked back at her. "I know, I dont have much medical to spare as I got away with a small bag, but oddly enough filling your stomach might help heal most of your smaller wounds and some of the bigger ones." Nova cursed when she couldn't find something then dug through a diffrent chest.

"Huh? Really?" Tempest manages to say. It didn't sound possible, but then again, they were somehow in a video game world filled with fantasy creatures. Would it really be a stretch for her to be healed by food? She took a bite of the baked potato, she then nearly scarfed down the whole thing in a few bites right after that. It just dawned on her how hungry she was.

The smaller wounds on Tempest healed up like they were never there with every bite, the bigger ones however healed bit by bit. Nova chuckled and gave Tempest some carrots and beets and a few more potatoes followed by a bucket of milk to wash it down with. She then gave some food to Gategaurd as well.
