Newbury castle is the location of the most prestigious Academy of the Mystical Arts in the entirety of the kingdom. It specializes in training young, promising mages to become great magicians. Many of the world's greatest magicians and geniuses have come out of this school. After the Masquerade incident, many of the staff have been replaced.
Dean - Merceder, the Merchant.

The castle is huge, absolutely enormous. it's made of a huge jumble of towers and battlements, but it is centered around a four-pointed star-shaped garden in the center of the entire thing. The castle is separated into four main parts; North, South, East and West. Each 'wing' contains the dormitory of one of the main four houses.

The North
The North has the Phoenix House, usually the type to always get up, to laugh in the face of danger, and can be very blunt, brash, and headstrong. The members of this house typically practice Flame or Lightning magic, and many practice blunt weaponry.

The South
The South is the polar opposite of the North. The members of the Siren House are typically laid back, far more flexible and amendable. They live to create art, to play music, to forge metal. They tend to practice Music, Wind or Water-type magic. Many of this house tend to practice Swordsmanship.

The East
The East is the land of the Quetzalcoatl House. This house is poisonous, deadly. This house tends to be sneaky and manipulative, like a deadly poison that enters the veins, killing it from the inside. This house is the most competitive, and the most chaotic. They tend to practice Shadow or Poison magics, along with hidden weapon arts.

The West
is the domain of ice, of the Frost Dragon House. This house's members are stubborn, cold as ice. they are uncompromising, unnegotiable, and usually quite uptight. They tend to be the leaders in most situations. They tend to practice Ice magic.

A tree, oftentimes referred to as "The World Tree", is planted in the dead center of the castle, in the center of the star. it's a popular hangout for students after classes, just to sit under it.

In a hidden area, hidden behind a mirror in a classroom or the third stall to the right in a bathroom, or just around the corner, is a hidden alleyway, known by both the students and teachers. They call it Merchant's Alley. what was once an underground black market had now turned into a Siren House-run, Teacher-supported merchant's alley. many stores have popped up in the Merchant’s alley since the Masquerade incident, students more inclined to buy and use weapons, items, potions, and pre-prepared spells to protect themselves.

Personality: A laid back man with a penchant for causing some mischief. Since his student days, he's grown more calm and collected, rather than his particular brand of chaos. He's the student favorite, because he's lax in grading, and always fair.

Weapons: Typically uses a harmonica and a recording device. If needed, has a dagger.

Other: he started the Legendary Merchant Alley Stand Satou's General Store. Watches over the Siren House(Which he was the prefect of during his student days)

Personality: A cold, rather emotionless Man on the surface, Artemis is more than just an unfeeling wall deeper down. He holds great affection for his wife Emma Brown, and a genuine care for his students. He's just not the most socially adept. He's a really strict grader.

Personality: Scarred from her abduction by the Slave Trading ring Masquerade, Emma never graduated from Newbury, opting instead to drop out and take a few years off. But thanks to her rather sizeable role in the crime rings destruction, and her impressive magical and physical abilities, she was accepted to be a teacher. She’s rather laid-back in terms of grading and Personality.
