She wasn't exactly interested in joining the troops that resided in that kingdom. All she cared about was meeting with her client and enjoying her small vacation.
She couldn't help but feel envious of this group. They had a cause, a purpose, something to fight for. What did she have?
A few months of relaxation, that's what! Dakota thinks to herself with a bemused smile. She intended to enjoy it, nothing would stop her! But an uncanny sense of regret hits Dakota with each departing step.
Yue looked to Sela and then to Dakota before waving slowly at her. "It was nice to meet you, Miss." He followed after Sela, looking around the ruins. "Miss Sela, could I ask what we're doing here?"

He looked up at the sky, racking through his thoughts. He nodded.
"So, once upon a time, there was an enslaved land. I was... what, a thousand years, at that point? I had been aimlessly traveling for years, fighting, traveling, and seeing the worlds through my many lives."
He tugged at the necklace around his neck, absently.
"At this point, I was working for the oppressors. Crazy, I know. Then... I met a few special people. I guess you could call them... a family?"
He turned over the necklace, the light from the sky revealing a small inscription on the golden star, reading: "A token to keep us in your memory." He smiled wistfully, as he looked over the necklace. He mumbled under his breath.
"... I miss them... I never even met them myself, but I miss them..."

"I remember one thing for certain. It was a happy, peaceful time."
He flipped open the book, to a spot with neat handwriting and immaculate sketches.
"Right here."

Strangely enough, when Kendo flipped to a random page of Iteral, for a few seconds, it seemed like she appeared in her typical clock chime. But just as quickly, she disappeared.

"Tch, you wouldn't understand." She rolled her eyes and walked away, continuing to search for the artifact she needed.
