The Purge is coming soon, and everyone is waiting for it to finally come. Some shake in fear at the thought, some smile with glee. It's an event that always ends unpleasantly, but most everyone goes about the rest of their day as if nothing happened afterward. The Purge is coming, are you ready?
"The Purge" is a 12 hour event that occurs every year. During the 12 hour period, all crimes become legal, no one is punished for doing wrong. At least, not by the government of course. The government simply sits back and watches, as if it were a game. No matter what, though, no one is safe from the brutality the Purge brings. Remember, all crimes are legal during the purge, so do whatever it takes to do what some can't. The only thought on your mind right now?

Appearance -
Aoi is a young person with relatively youthful looks. While the dark circles under pale grey eyes and unkempt hair might frighten people, especially if encountered in the dead of night, but rest assured that Aoi is simply a puppy trapped in a human body. Their skin is pale and sallow, a unfortunate side effect from their chronic illness, and other physical symptoms such as thin hair, a butterfly smattering of rashes on their cheeks and nose, and petachie among other things. Their hair is constantly being dyed so it changes colour constantly, but what doesn't change is Aoi's preference for soft oversized clothes.
Personality -
Outwardly, Aoi is gentle and soft spoken, getting along well with people they have just met. They are social and well meaning, always taking in gentle tones and warm smiles. One would have to be stone hearted to hate someone as nice as Aoi. Kind and reserved yet always controlling the flow with their soothing voice. They excel in domestic affairs, wielding knives as if they're an extension of their arm and quite proficient with a needle and thread. Perhaps... a little too well. But all those fall to the wayside whenever someone spends enough time with Aoi and learn that though they are chronically ill that doesn't stop them from living the best life they can. At times, they can fall into bouts of melancholy, spacing out at odd times and experiences minor seizures, but he is assuredly fine. There isn't anything wrong with him whatsoever. Not at all :)
Backstory -
Aoi wasn't anyone special when they were born, another number in the millions of other people. Their family was relatively normal, more bookish and reserved than the rest for sure but still normal. Their parents adored one another, shaping young Aoi as they saw how their parents obsessed over their partners. They were the perfect couple, a love that Aoi so desperately desired and received from their parents and in turn obsessively gave to them. They were born ill and while it posed no problem in their youth, keeping up with the other children in their rambunctious play, it began to take its toll as Aoi grew older. Often times they were rushed to the hospital where the smell of antiseptic and hospital beds became their home. School became a forgone conclusion as they only seemed to worsen, permanently residing in the long term care ward as their Lupus and other symptoms only got worse.
By some stroke of luck, however, Aoi recovered enough to live outside of the hospital with often check ups. There they started streaming not only as a means to get money but also as a means to keep up with the ever evolving world. They couldn't go out much with their poor health but streaming took the edge off of it. Of course, they still spent quite a lot of time in the hospital but they did have some degree of freedom. He appears to have plans for the Purge but what they are... well it'll come to pass soon enough

Age - 19
Appearance - His face is unrecognizable and honestly quite horrific. It is misshapen and covered in black burn scars, as well as cuts and bruises. His face is so messed up, that it's nearly impossible to see his features at first glance. His eyes seem to lack vibrance and color, the once dandelion yellow now turned into an unpleasant brown. His mouth blends in to the disasterous mess of his face, and his nose isn't an exception to the horror. Due to this, he never goes outside of his house and always has a mask he wears under the hood of his coat. He wears thick clothing to hide his thin body as much as he can, as it's in a condition similar to his face with burns and cuts everywhere. He has a hard time moving properly and quickly, and he can't talk very well due to the trauma his body went through.
Personality - He's quiet and hates being around others due to the fear of being judged and looked down on. He hates communicating and would rather sit in his house all day. He has little to no patience and will go off like a bomb at the slightest inconvenience, built up hatred and frustration usually getting the best of him. He was forced to raise himself from a very young age due to a particularly terrible year the Purge occurred, causing several issues. He doesn't exactly have much of a life, so that's all I can put for now. The rest is TBRPD

Appearance - Rei is a short, lanky woman standing at only 5 ft. She has neatly cut, shoulder length lavender purple hair, and a round, child-like face. Her eyes are deep, ruby red and quite large, completing her appearance as a life-like doll. She wears a black, long-sleeved turtleneck with sky-grey shorts that almost can't be seen under her large shirt. She also wears combat boots with thigh-high, off-white socks. Her face is constantly either childish and playful, with an underlying psychotic tone, or just full on psychotic.

Appearance - Atwood's hair has already gone white, whether the result of dying it or an unusually fast natural occurrence is unknown. He is as pale as a dead man, oddly. He has a scar over his right eye that takes close examination to really notice, or so he believes. Speaking of the eyes, Atwood's are an unnatural white, which many scientists agree is not a normal iris color. His background does not fit much with the scar, however, since the scar seems to have been made by a blade. It is entirely possible that Atwood was scarred during a previous Purge, despite the unlikeliness, since it is believed he has a secret bunker.
Personality - In better days he was a kind and caring soul. Until one fateful day, when everything was destined to change... He is still kind and caring, but an incident that will not be covered in this text left him mentally unstable, with fragments of his mind completely gone.
Backstory (optional) - In better days, James Atwood was a scientist specializing in the fields of neurology and robotics. One day, he has the far-fetched idea to [REDACTED UNDER ORDER X-19. CONTACT ADMIN TO HAVE THIS REDACTION REVIEWED.], with catastrophic results. It left his consciousness fragmented and his mind destroyed. Vestiges of a past time still are there in his mind, and they still show.

With how quiet and low he is, it's a surprise he's name was even known by almost everyone around him. Any effort to strike a conversation is almost worthless to him, as he clearly shows his disinterest by keeping silent the entire time. People thought he was mute since he never spoke even when it was necessary to answer, not even a simple 'yes' or 'no'.
Yet, there was something else in his blood-red eyes. A hint of the craze was suppressed under his dull demeanor. This Purge would be the first since he got out of that hell hole. What monster was he keeping locked up inside his twisted mind?

He held the bloody knife in his small hand, his face showing no feeling at first, just staring at the blade.
Drip goes the blood, onto the dead bodies he stood upon. His lips curved into a smile.
The little boy laughed, his voice echoed through the empty house, he heard the sirens coming, but he didn't care.
He kneeled to meet the eyes of his father, the light of life long lost in those blue eyes, so foreign to him. The door opened with a crash as they flooded the house, seeing the bloody scene before them.
But the little boy didn't care. His smile grew wider.
"Who's the weak one now?" he chuckled.

Character Name - "Cloudy" Turner Griffins
Age - 18
Appearance - Cloudy is an average high-school student. He has hair that is very poofy and is the color of marshmallow blue. He wears a jean-jacket over a t-shirt with darker jeans. Oh, and sneakers. His face is a bit minuscule making him look a bit younger; maybe around fifteen. He has bright, judging hazel eyes with a pouty frown most of the time.
Personality - He is not your average person. He hates most people and shoots nasty glares at everyone who gives him eye-contact. Even if you are close to him, you cannot stop butting heads with him every once and a while. He is very independent and would rather by caught dead then admitting a wrong. If he chooses a stand, he will stand there for the rest of his life. You'd be lucky if he respects you.
Backstory - He was abnormally small for his age so everyone kept bullying him. On top of that, his parents are dead and he lives with people he doesn't really understand. Overtime, his defenses layered up and he became the snappy person his is today. He has been dreaming of giving those stupid bullies a taste of their own medicine. In his own words "They deserve the whole darn bottle".
Password - Honestly, I don't really watch horror movies but my favorite has to be Insidious : last key. No reasons why, I'm just drawn to it somehow.

Gordon is a 6'4, fairly muscular man with scars littering every part of his body. The first thing people tend to notice is the eyepatch, evidence of a missing eye and his most horrific past injury among many. With a limp affecting his right knee, a chunk missing out of his right ear, and a nasty, brutal scar covering most of the left side of his face, it's evident he's seen more than any one man should. His left hand paralyzed, his pinky finger practically severed, body covered in poorly healed gunshot wounds and deep lacerations alike, he's very visibly disfigured, and some might say quite intimidating. That's nothing compared to the cold, angry, and yet aggressively analytical spark in his working eye - blazing green and filled with an indescribable fire. His dark brown hair is naturally streaked with blond, tied into a ponytail to show one ear heavily pierced, and the other scarred, with a mangled hole blown right through a good majority of it. If the scars and explosive attitude weren't enough to scare any poor stranger unfortunate enough to meet him, he wears old band t-shirts paired with ripped jeans and leather jackets that look like they've been through hell and back. All in all, Gordon doesn't look the type to mess with.
Personality
He seems relatively stoic at first, but that's because his mind runs on a constant monologue, saying all the things he wishes he could. When he opens his mouth, it becomes clear what kind of person he is. He's confident to a fault, with an angry undertone accompanying everything he says. One can hardly tell if it's on purpose or not. He's smart, with the capability to be cunning, and quite flirty when he feels like it. Mostly, however, anger and explosive fury tend to overwhelm his other traits. Nobody really knows him, so there's nobody to ask about him, but it can be assumed they wouldn't have generally good opinions of the man.
...Or maybe there's something more behind that piercing, furious gaze of his?

Appearance - The first thing one would notice about Amber is her eyes. Light sky blue and always hinted with a glint of hope despite the state of the world. The next thing that stands out from her small frame is her hair. Messy and long, if she doesn't have her dark blond hair in a ponytail it goes down to her elbows. She's short, around 5"1, and is often made fun of for that. Even though her face portrays an innocent soft girl, the clothes she wears is the opposite of that. Most would assume that she would dress up in pretty pink dresses and put on makeup, but she loves sweaters more than anything. And jeans, along with boots. (Her nickname back in high school was "tomboy aphrodite" because she had found it easy to make men fall in love with her.)
Personality - Cheerful, which might be surprising with the state of the world but isn't surprising if you notice her looks. She has the mental state of a 12-year-old, and given the opportunity, she will talk for hours. She is always fidgeting with something, her hands, her hair, anything.

Personality - Rhulk is completely devoted to the Witness and despises the Guardians for their usage of Darkness. He is egotistical and arrogant, thinking he is above all who oppose him and even taunts the Guardians while fighting them. It seems that while in the Pyramid, he befriended the worm familiars and the Worm God, being the one who would have to create the worms for Savathûn's Brood. He seems to like experimenting with the worm familiars as well, as in the Acquisition section of the raid, one can see frozen Scorn in containers with worms attached to them. However, these experiments most likley failed. Despite befriending the Worm Familiars, Rhulk seemed to have a low opinion on the Hive, disliking being effectively exiled to Savathûn's Throne World, with Fynch humorously comparing it to babysitting Savathûn, whom Rhulk distrusted greatly.
Even as a young warrior, Rhulk showed disturbing signs of psychopathy and callous brutality, which ultimately led his own clan and family to fear him. As a Disciple, he was praised by the Witness for these qualities, as they better enabled him to follow the tenets of the Darkness. Most notably and uniquely, Rhulk values honesty immensely, to the point that it meant everything to him, both as a Lubraean and as a Disciple. So much so, in fact, that he could not understand why the military regime on Lubrae was able to be honest about their shortcomings and misdeeds, while his parents had to lie to him about their motivations and actions.
Despite his skills as a warrior, Rhulk appeared to lack the ability to strategically out-wit his opponents or plan for future threats, as it was clear he valued only strength not cunning. Though Rhulk fully expected Savathûn would betray the Witness somehow, and made it clear that if she made any wrong move, he would use the Upended to obliterate her throne world. Further, he couldn't foresee the Guardian Raid team using the energies of his own Pyramid against him, which ultimately led to his demise.
Backstory (optional) - Rhulk, Disciple of the Witness is the first of the Disciples: extraordinarily powerful Darkness-wielding entities who collectively follow and do the bidding of The Witness. Hailing from the planet Lubrae, he played a prominent role in the creation of the Hive by subjugating the Worms into servitude of the Witness and then facilitating their production in Savathûn's Throne World, all while keeping tabs on the Witch Queen herself from his own Pyramid.
After Savathûn's rebirth in the Light, he was imprisoned within his own Pyramid by a curse of Light placed by the Witch Queen. However, Rhulk would retaliate by bringing the Scorn into her throne world and subsequently taking command of them. He also serves as the final boss of the Vow of the Disciple Raid where he would meet his demise at the hands of Guardians.
