Asteriinyx: SIGN UP'S CLOSED
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Asteriinyx: SIGN UP'S CLOSEDThe Three Courts, lie in the corners of Asteriinyx, and are each dedicated to one Aether deity, The deity of the Sun, Moon and Sky. All the members in the Courts each practice a certain aspect in the Arts. None of them dabble in the Petrified Arts, the ones the Weeping Ones master, and monsters far more terrifying than these beasts use every day. No one would dare. Unless....you were part of the remaining members of the Fourth Court. But we don't talk about them. We're unsure they even exist.
Solina. In a blazing nutshell, Solina is the sun goddess. Bringing light to all our citizens every day. The Court of Lady Solina, or 'Solinya' as she was called a few centuries ago, practice the powerful Art of Light-Weaving, being able to summon, and manipulate light. This simple, yet cunning Art can only be mastered by very few, and only ones who have had the sun's blessing.
Midnio is the opposite of Solina, the moon god. The 'Master or Maestro of Moonlight' as he is more commonly known. The Court's members practice the silent and sneaky Art of Shadow-Bending, being able to summon and manipulate darkness. This Art is seen as quite deadly, and many are intimidated and scared of this Court.
And as we've discussed the earth, it was only a matter of time before we arrived to Selyne. The sky. Viewed as the most impressive Court of them all, members of this Court practice Wind-Waving, being able to summon winds, control them, and in some rare, rare cases- fly.
Username - Daiko
Name - Aliban Selvisk
Personality/Info - He's quiet, but not exactly mysterious and gloomy as you would expect him to be. He doesn't like to interact with others much, but if he is in the situation he will gladly join the conversation. He loves making jokes, but is knowledgeable enough to know the time and place. He can read the room quite well and does great with analyzing others to know a vague idea of what's on their mind. He can get a bit serious at times though, which could lead to an unsettling atmosphere. There is one odd thing about him though, which is a secret he seems to be hiding. No one ever suspects that of him though due to his general mood, but those who analyze others as much as he does could tell something is off. He practices the art of his people quite often and is certainly proud of how well he can do it. He's one of the best users of his day, but he isn't a show-off about it for one particular reason. What a surprise, the reason is his dirty little secret. The rest is TBRPD
Court - Maestro Midno
Appearance - He's pretty much your average 22 year old man, no crazy hair, no noticeable scars, no abnormal eyes, nothing of that sort. Well, I take it back, his light brown eyes are pretty strange when you look close enough. They seem to be full of energy, but not exactly excitement or happiness, it's more like they shine with passion and craziness. Honestly, making eye contact with him is pretty terrifying with eyes like those. He has medium length black hair that go to his earlobes, and he stands at a general 6'3
Backstory - His parents died of reasons he will not disclose when he was 16, but at that point he was already doing well taking care of himself anyways. He grew up a normal child with nothing out of the ordinary about him other than being overly energetic and talkative with everyone else his age. He made quite a lot of friends but by now he has drifted apart from them. No one really knows why he went from being so outgoing to now a quiet and closed-in person. As mentioned before though, he has a secret, and that is TBRPD
Weapon - A rather interesting whip, one with small razor blades running down the side.
Other - hehe edgy evil dude

Aethling's name and/or nicknames/titles:
Niyol of the Blessed Wings
Title: He Who Flies Above it All
Personality/Info:
Haughty, Arrogant, Prideful. Even without speaking a word, Niyol carries around with him a presence of regality and aloofness as if he views himself better than everyone else. And for the most part, that is how he acts. His tongue is silver sharp and he never holds anything back, speaking his mind bluntly. He considers himself better than everyone and will let others know about it. He is above worldly matters and his title of He Who Flies Above it All is not just a moniker earned by his flight prowess but for his holier than thou attitude
It's not all negatives, however, as Niyol is politically savvy. He knows what to say and when to say it, swaying people's opinions at a dime though he doesn't make any attempt to mask his scummy nature. He is adept at reading people and making deals with them based of his personal observations, making him a powerful asset in peacetalks and negotiations.
There seems to be something else lurking under the surface however. Perhaps Niyol is different from what others say. But then again, aren't rumours only the projection of what others want to see and not who they really are?
Member of which Court:
Mistress Selyne
Aethling's Appearance:
Niyol is a young man standing at a respectable 5'10 (178) with platinum silver dyed hair. He looks much younger than he actually is, sharp facial features and carefully applied makeup giving off a air of youthful cockiness. Some would even say that he looks beautiful, discarding more conventional complements in favour of a feminine grace. He keeps his image carefully curated, dark eyeliner sharpening his narrow cold grey eyes, slicked back hair never growing out too long. He is surprisingly fit for someone who's main role is in discussions and politics, toned arms and slim figure cutting out a powerful figure despite how delicate his features can be. However fit he is, Niyol is alarmingly light. It is almost concerning how easy it is for others to pick him up, as if any weight that he possesses is only an illusion. Perhaps the only weight he even has in muscles that keep up the facade of delicate strength. For a member of the Selynian court, Niyol dresses much like someone from Maestro Midnio, all dark colours as he's wrapped in mystery fitting for a publicly hated figure.
Backstory:
Everyone knows that there's a member of the Blessed Wings who can fly.
Niyol is not that person.
Born into a subfamily that almost religiously worshiped the ability to fly, Niyol was brought up as a proxy, a fake to draw attention away from his younger brother who took to the skies like the Goddess they worshiped. He was taught every way to make others hate him, to be arrogant and unlikable just to spin a whole narrative that starred him as the villain and his brother as the hero all so that the family could move up in court. He learned to fly, learned to simulate rushing across the skies and dipping past the clouds to dance among his element. He learned to starve himself and bleed numbers onto the ground, pouring out sweat and tears into his facade as he broke his own tender heart again and again until he had none left. He stepped away from the weapons rack and trained his tongue, his verbal lashings as deadly and accurate as a gunshot, aiming straight and true as he ruined his own reputation. Whispers speak of Niyol locking his brother away, jealousy burning in his blood at someone younger than him being better at flying than him, that Niyol had abused his position as a flyer to bully his way up in court. Whispers don't ever speak of the grudging love Niyol still has for his family as he continues to play his part
Weapon of Choice:
While he is proficient in all types of weapons, he is most often seen wearing a pair of kris daggers by his waist
He is most comfortable with long ranged weaponry, particularly a sniper rifle or bow
Other:
Perhaps the worst rumour surrounding Niyol is that he has grown arrogant to the point of dabbling in the petrified arts, dulling anyone who dares oppose him

Aethling's name and/or nicknames/titles:
Freja Azurine / The Raveness
Personality/Info.
To put it simply, Freja dislikes people. She prefers to work on her own and is most definitely not the best at communicating. While she has trust issues and dislikes working with others, she certainly has a sharp tongue and will speak out on anything she deems worthy of her attention. She hates acknowledging it, but she cannot stand injustice and will stand up for anyone who cannot stand up for themselves.
She tries to force out other people and avoids forming relationships because she’s afraid of hurting someone again, so she becomes cold and shuts everyone out in order to keep them away. She can’t stand the thought of losing another person close to her, and she has an intense fear of being abandoned.
She has very clear boundaries and pushes away anyone who steps too close to them. She’s concealed her emotions in a strong layer of ice, forcing out any warmth in an attempt to keep herself safe. She doesn’t trust herself or others enough to form another close relationship, though she will (begrudgingly) work as business partners with someone. Occasionally.
Stubborn and never quick to forgive, Freja will hold a grudge to the end of time if she must. She hates discussing her past, and she refuses to acknowledge success, always striving to be better than she was, this idea of ‘perfect’ imbedded within her mind from her childhood. Her attitude towards others and her brooding nature has earned her the nickname ‘The Raveness’, and whispers about her and what happened to her family follow her around like a haunting ghost.
Member of which Court:
Maestro Mindnio
Aethling's Appearance.:
Tall and lean, with long, dark blue hair pulled back in multiple braids spanning down her back. She has light brown skin and pure green eyes that turn dark blue when she practices her Art. Her eyes are always cold, hiding a river of intense emotion behind a dam of ice. She often wears a fluffy black jacket over a dark gray shirt with an owl printed on it. She wears long black boots with silver buckles, and thigh-high deep purple socks hidden under a stiff black skirt.
Backstory (optional):
Freja grew up in an unforgiving home, all of her relationships, platonic or otherwise, ending in her being abandoned, manipulated, or used. Her parents gave her no attention, so she sought it out elsewhere in violence. She lashed out often in her childhood, trying to get the attention she craved, until she learned to control her emotions. She learned early on that she had to take what she wanted by force or she wasn’t going to get it. This included necessary items such as food, water, and shelter. She learned survival skills quickly and was exceedingly good at combat, frequently getting into fights and causing problems. She bottled up her emotions, trying to please the people who told her to ‘be better’, until the bottle broke and she snapped again. Her only close friend was her little brother, who was eight years younger than her but the two got along splendidly. That is, until he went missing. Freja was the only one who knew what happened to him, and the guilt of it tore her up on the inside. Soon, she cut herself off from everyone in her life, determined to start anew and determined not to give in to anyone again. She left her old home in search of an escape, all on her own except for her one and only friend; Eren.
Weapon of Choice:
x
Other:
Freja has a raven friend named Eren, who she met when she was 16 and the two bonded and have been close ever since. The two are so close it’s almost as if they understand each other, and Freja can call Eren to her anytime. Freja is very much better at communicating with animals (namely birds) than humans, but she is allergic to cats. Despite her cold and oftentimes harsh demeanor, she never lets her instincts become dull, and her reflexes are lightning fast.
I would be delighted to join the RP PalPad
Aethling's name and/or nicknames/titles:
Carlynne Astoria
[ Nicknames; Falcon, Breeze ]
Personality/Info:
Cheerful and energetic, Carlynne is the 'little child' in the group. Her energetic and bubbly attitude is seriously contagious that she is said to be a gentle breeze carrying some sort of 'happiness gas' by those who know her (hence the nickname). She is one who is all unicorns and rainbows and anything negative can instantly turn positive around her. Secretly, she was one of those people who didn't agree with how the Courts worked, separated instead of one. While she did know the history of how it came to be, she couldn't help but think that it's better to forgive and forget, though it's probably because of her easily forgiving attitude.
Sometimes, however, Carlynne speaks before she thinks and may end up saying abrasive comments without knowing it until she regrets her choices 5 minutes later. She can also be very brash and inconsiderate at times, especially in full-blown arguments. Her mind too full of mindful and childish thoughts, she easily forgets things which is why she can't multitask because she is bound to get one step wrong. Busy daydreaming, sometimes she loses touch with reality, staying adrift in the sky, lost in thoughts that no one knows.
Despite all her happy-going attitude, there is more than meets the eye. Carlynne's happy façade was only to help her bear with the struggles her life would hurl at her. It was the image of the girl she had wanted to be when she was young, yet never had the chance to express. On certain days, her other negative side would arise, showing all the shadows lurking within the very back of her mind. There are times she tend to be very serious and dark, a threatening aura enveloping the once bright atmosphere around her like a storm cloud.

Accessories:
She wears a cloak that's made of very light material that helps her glide midair with her Wind controlling ability.
Backstory (optional):
Carylenne was born into a family struck by poverty due to her father's gambling addictions. As a child, she watched as he robbed her mother of her money, hitting the woman to the ground. When he didn't have anymore left, he resorted to selling his own children, including her. She grew up with no clear memory of her mother nor her other two older brothers, but the image of her wretched father was burned into her mind.
She knew her brothers were sold off for work, but being a frail girl, she couldn't do much physical jobs. Instead, she was bought off to become a performer, trained to be elegant and captivating. From years of training, she was nimble on her feet and her light weight made her seem like she was dancing in the air. While she hasn't mastered flying, no matter how many times she was beaten to try and perfect that skill, she learned to manipulate the wind and altered her cloak to be lighter so she could glide. When she was performing, she was called 'Falcon' because she could swoop and maneuver in the air as fast as the bird itself. Her hands were also as quick as her reflexes, making her comfortable with long weapons like spears or javelins.
Now that she's all grown up and out of the dark side of life, she desperately tried to be happier, trying to forget the past that tried to destroy her. So she built a new her. She threw away her old name and changed it to Carylenne Astoria which she thinks mean 'Free Hawk'. She acted all happy and cheerful to rebel against her childhood. When she's lost in thought, she'd daydream about her brothers and mother and wonder if they'll ever cross paths again, or if they were still alive somewhere.
Weapon of Choice:
Carlynne is a master at double-bladed swords and spears, particularly this one. She can also wield normal swords but doesn't favor them since she feels like they're too short.
Other:
This one isn't dull XDD.
And (teeny add on) Carylenne is new to the Court ;-;
Also sorry for my mistake earlier, I should've seen all the forms X-X

[Priya Suffolk]
-Nicknames: [Preeth, Storyteller, Sun's Eclipse]
-Titles: [Lady Suffolk, Priest of Language, Sun's Eclipse]
Personality: Priya is a quiet, shy soul who's always the back presence in the room, making small comments and hinting towards future events. She seems very calm and intelligent, but this is all just a mask. Deep down, she's a very sweet, idealistic person who tends to romanticize and imagine all sorts of things happening and becoming a story. She actually tends to hate herself for this, and would rather be taken seriously, which is why she stifles it and pretends to be a serious soul, rather than her own, sweet, silly self. If only she could see that no one would hate her for who she was, then she might open up...
Personality Type: INTJ (Ni-Te-Fi-Se)
Member of which Court: `❅Lady Solina❅`
-Position: Upper Lady (However, holds little political power)
Aethling's Appearance: Priya is a dark Aethling, with skin nearly a shade of black- a few shades lighter, she may well be a Weeping One. But beneath her skin, sunlight seems to glow and pour through into the surface. Her eyes are as black as coals but far more heated- flooded with amber light and fire. She resembles a more humanoid form than many Aethlings, but structured branches of horns peek from her silky black hair. Average height and weight.
-Style: Priya dresses in the traditional Lady Solina clothing- but in her off time from the court, she'll often wear shades of blue that contrast against her warm tones. It gives her an odd appearance, but somewhat mystical at the same time. Lace and frills seem to generate naturally on her skin. She always appears neat and pristine, even if dirt is splattered across the blues of her dresses.
-Additional: Her hands are cracked in several places- as if an earthquake has split open a vast expanse of earth. And yet they remain soft, gentle, and most of all fleeting over all things.
Weapon of Choice: Priya prefers psychological warfare to actual combat, but she's skilled in the art of swordsmanship. That's not to say she uses a sword all that much- if she must handle a weapon, she'd prefer smaller ones such as throwing knives. She can hit with decent precision and force, enough to thwart any assassins who may come searching for Lady Suffolk.

Aethling's name and/or nicknames/titles: Flora
Personality/Info: It’s a wonder why she’s even here. Flora is a rather kind and gentle individual, perhaps too kind and gentle. She is very fearful about everything and constantly contemplates every little thing that could go wrong. She’s terrible at interacting with people, has no sense of self-confidence, and she always tries her best to make everyone like her and fails miserably. Flora is rather intelligent, rational (except most of her fears aren’t), and creative, although she wouldn’t ever give herself credit for such a thing, and always tries to share her ideas (when she has the courage to talk about them). Perhaps that’s why she’s here. She desperately desires to be needed by other people and to be taken seriously and to be seen as talented.
Typology: My guess is she's an XNTP or an XSFJ, all I know for sure is her functions definitely contain Si, Fe, Ti and Ne in some order or other. She seems to be either a type 2, type 6, type 5, or type 9 and I really hope I get this straight in my head-
Member of which Court: The Court of Maestro Midnio
Aethling's Appearance.: A rather frail-looking, slender individual who stands only a mere 4 feet, 9 inches tall. One half of her hair is that of a faded blonde that looks the color of a withering yellow dandelion, and curls upward rather stalkily. The other half is that of a similarly faded green. Her hair is of medium length, barely reaching her shoulders, and many of the strands are uneven, presumably from her tearing it out. She has bright, huge, wide orange eyes that she usually covers up with her bangs, which are grown down the majority of her face. Her skin is incredibly pale, almost unnaturally pale. Flora’s fingers bear sharp, light-green claws at the ends, but she wears gloves over top of her hands because she doesn’t like her claws much. She dons a very, very, very, very, very dark green turtleneck sweater, except the neck of the sweater is violently ripped off for some reason. Overtop she has a purely black vest (with pockets, overflowing with assorted items, either from her workspace or that she randomly picked up, because you never know when something might come in handy). She also has a black light coat that looks as though someone splattered purple blood all over it that she leaves unbuttoned, also with overflowing pockets. She takes a notebook and pen with her everywhere she goes. Her entire face is dotted with golden freckles, and she wears faded green rectangular glasses with partially shattered lenses (she was too nervous to ask someone if they could help fix them or get her a new pair). Flora has black deer ears upon her head, and she wears a flower crown made of yellow, fluffy dandelions. She wears a dark-gray skirt of medium length, short black socks, and short pale lime boots.
Backstory: As a child, Flora was never good enough for her parents. Nothing she did was ever good enough, and they always had such high expectations of her, that she couldn’t live up to… she had to be the best. She had to be perfect. She had to be the kindest, the smartest, the most successful… and Flora cracked under all the pressure. She was greeted with words of disappointment, of reprimand, with a slap to the face whenever she failed. Flora grew fearful, and desperate for approval and kindness from anyone, but she figured she didn’t deserve it. She wasn’t good for anything, or to anyone… In everything she does, she desperately tries to prove herself. But it seems like nothing is ever good enough.
