"Oh..." Like before, Syrai couldn't find the words to reply or give any input. Since even before Admin said a word, she could nearly sense his presence as he approached the two. She really couldn't catch a break, it was almost as if everything around her was just playing with whatever sanity she had left, twisting it in cruel ways exclusively to remind her of everything she tried to push aside. She listened to the words they were speaking, not chiming in during any of it, and waited to see what they would do next.

The faint gunshot that had boomed from the city was sort of a relief, since it was something that would usually turn one's attention away from whatever they would be doing at the time. Syrai, unsurprisingly, showed no reaction toward the sound, but instead kept her eyes below her and her focus on the two immortals around her.

Alex's head snapped up, his instincts kicking in. "What the-" The gunshot wasn't anywhere near them, and once Alex realized that he relaxed again. "Well, then, some cowboy needs to buy a new hat now." He didn't bother to explain this strange analogy but stood up. "I think I'll be going now. You folks wouldn't happen to know a good hotel around here? And where I can buy a new face?"

Heleina heard the gunshot as well, then looking down and her grip on the watch tightening. It's as if an instinct kicked in... as she started running towards the sound, having some trouble with orientation but otherwise doing fine. She zoomed past Elam, a split-second glare connected both eyes. "I know you..." She whispered before running along, until she was at the alleyway. There, she opened her trenchcoat and started mending the wounds of the two attackers. Which is when her second personality went in, though the outsiders could only hear Heleina's part of the "conversation".

"Yes, I'm aware... yes, the risk that I get blamed is there... I don't know why, but after eighty years in confinement, you believe me to act normal? Oh, get back to my unconscious... Don't worry. Time is not a driving factor for me. But for them."

Admin's eyes flickered between the two, and heard the gunshot as well, and his eyes flickered toward the source of the sound, but realized it was nowhere near them. Admin turned back to Alex. "Zero immortals in one place? that does sound nice." he mused. "But life isn't fair. it doesn't give us what we want. If it did I would be sitting at home, dying, but no, life doesn't work that way. Welp." He said, turning around. "I guess im going to walk away now, since you people do not seem to enjoy my presence, which is fair. i dont like myself either."

The crack of a gun wasn't loud enough to be heard over the chatter of milling shoppers, all to engrossed in their business and much too far away to do anything about it. But Jiu had spent an eternity and a half perfecting already painfully sharp senses, to the point where noise was all but a dull roar to the supernatural ears that it possessed. Perhaps that was why club music appealed to them so much, the rhythmic howl of base shaking it to the bone with deep notes and booming drums blending in with the screaming world that Jiu had learned to fuzz out as if the radio connection wasn't quite perfect. But still, like a out of tune radio things could be tweaked and precious information that let it perceive the world filtered through the white noise. Firearms, for so long, had been a daily part of Jiu's life, going hand in hand with living in the shadows of those who saw it as something less than human, going as far as to dig under the bar it had set for itself 5 feet underground; a task that left Jiu frankly concerned (and perhaps a lot more broken) about how it succeeded as easily as it did.

Pausing in its appraisal of different meats and cuts hanging from meat hooks and displayed on heated trays, Jiu raised a thin eyebrow, molten gold eyes flickering to the direction at which the shot could be traced to, before returning to its shopping. Violence wasn't something Jiu dabbled in anymore and it was glad to leave that life behind. Though if the thriving pots of aconite and rhododendron that sat innocently on the windowsill of its drab apartment, busts of violet and lilac bringing color to the grey cracked walls were anything to go by Jiu still held certain reservations. With a silent point, Jiu's purchase of pork hawk was neatly wrapped up with butchers twine and wax paper, the string digging into scarred and callused fingers and Jiu left the store. With more than enough food for the entire month and more groceries that what it knew how to deal with, Jiu could only sigh and make the trek towards the apartment. It could only thank it's lucky stars that it's living place was close enough that whatever chaos bred the existence of gunfire was far far away from the little studio that it owned. Adjusting its mask once again, making sure that the lip fit snugly against the contours of its delicate cheekbones, Jiu set off, groceries dragging leaden arms down with its straining plastic

Even with a dull personality, Syrai still had the urge to make a sarcastic remark, or even a little joke towards what Admin had said. Of course, she stuffed her words and remained silent, standing idly before letting out a deep sigh and began to walk away. The gunshot didn't concern her much, since it wasn't an odd place to hear one, but it intrigued her a bit. She had heard that there were 15 murders not too long ago, and it was reported to have been done by people like her. She had forgotten, or rather, deliberately tried not to think about the fact that some of the poor souls involved in the 'experiment' still hadn't changed their ways. It was depressing, but not all that surprising. She would've been on the same path if... No, she couldn't think about that right now. She was focused on finding out the source of the shot, nothing else. Besides, that shot shouldn't have been that loud unless someone went out of their way to buy a firearm that wasn't exactly made for silent fire. It was odd, really, but at least it gave her a way to be alone again.

Heleina managed to patch up most wounds in a really quick time, though it was a bit more rudimentary. She refrained from using her watch as much as possible, resorting to sewing and sometimes even welding a little, before she heard sirens. With that, she took a deep breath and ran out of the alleyway, hands still on the clock while she started counting seconds, before running past Syrai and her expression changing. She... knew that face from somewhere. But where again...?

Syrai had noticed her too, the faint feeling of familiarity stuck to her like a magnet. This was so odd... She had never seen this much immortals in one place, they all were supposed to be spread out, even after being contained in one area for so long. She figured tat most would try to get as far away as they could, some even going back to where they lived before, but... they were all here? Something was happening and it made her uneasy, she didn't like where this was going. Last time this happened, well... She stopped and turned to face Heleina, wondering what she was running from. The gunshot was close by, but she didn't appear to have much on her.

Heleina soon stopped, though she wasn't known for fine motor controls, ending up crashing into a food vendor. With profuse apologies, and pulling out a sausage from her trenchcoat, she ran across the street and pants, looking at Syrai, pointing at her. "You... do we know each other... if so... tell me your number." The turnip still pants, the question being intentionally held a bit more cryptic than "are you immortal?".

Her eyes flew across the street to focus on whatever the familiar face was doing, her expression unchanged as she watched her fly into a food cart. She watched her every movement out of habit, even though she found no need to. She stood patiently as Heleina got herself together and asked her an unusual question. Syrai had hesitated at first, her memory failing her for the first time in a while. Her... number? Her mouth opened slightly to speak, but nothing came out.

"Oh for the love of... you're slower than a grandfather's clock!" She muttered, dashing forward and opening her coat, showing a little number, crudely sewn into the inside of it. "I'm Number one-zero-three-two. The time-obsessed nurse!" She shouted, as some people started looking at the two of them, before she groaned. "Now quick... we're drawing attention to ourselves. And I don't want to spend another century in seclusion and war. You got a drawing room?"

The situation she was in wasn't the most ideal, all she wanted to do was check out whatever happened to the one who shot the gun. Well, she was close enough now to see the police, so she just assumed everything was taken care of. On the other hand, Syrai had no clue what the words coming out of Heleina's mouth meant, but she couldn't stand here forever to try and understand. There was one thing she understood, though, and it didn't really mean much other than how it confirmed that she knew them. Now, about the last question... Drawing room? "I don't think so..." a mutter left her mouth as she slowly followed behind, but just quick enough to keep up. At this point, she had almost completely forgotten what she went out for, due to everything that had happened. Well, not like it mattered right now, she was more intrigued on the events that had happened so far in her ruined Saturday morning. She needed to know what was happening, or even why she kept getting herself wound up in other people's problems

“That makes two of us,” Alex said sarcastically, rolling his eyes at Admin. He jumped even more with the newcomer who had just crashed into a food cart and yelped something about not liking surprises, before calming down, dusting himself off, and settling himself into a neutral expression. He raised a dubious brow, his mouth opening a little as if he wanted to say something, but decided against it. He jammed his hands inside his pockets and found a paper clip that jabbed his finger. He wrapped his finger around the neck of the paper clip and pulled it out, using his other fingers to bend the clip until it became one flat object. He continued fiddling with it until it got tangled in the loose threads of his jeans pocket. Something clicked into place, and he spoke up. “The...time-obsessed lady’s right. We need to get out of the open. Believe it or not, but the suburbs aren’t as populated as the city. And since of this moment, my only home is a motorcycle with a parking ticket, if any of you not-so-lovely people has a structure with four walls and a roof in which we could get out of the open, that would be amazing. And sixty bucks I could borrow for this rather inconvenient parking ticket.” *So much for starting over,* he thought bitterly to himself. *Looks like things are about to get interesting.*

Calverus kicked pebbles along the side of the road as he traveled. He tried to keep to the shade as much as possible when the heat became too much for him. He lifted his head up to the sky and gave a loud groan. It was times like these he wished he wasn't so stubborn on his choice of outfit. Cal took a few breaths before continuing down the street, his eyes landing on another rock to begin kicking in front of him. Just as his toes came into contact with the stone he heard a small, familiar sound that immediately drew his attention. He moved in the direction of the front stairs of a home, crouching down to come face-to-face with a gray kitten.

Calverus gave a quiet coo after confirming that nobody was around, reaching out towards the kitten and making small clicking noises with his tongue. It was definitely nervous of him, scampering away from his hand. He gave a small laugh and he sat on the ground, leaving his hand outstretched. After what felt like hours, Cal felt something cold touch his finger. He smiled down at the kitten, slowly scooping it up into his arms. The little gray ball of fur immediately panicked, digging it's claws into his hands.

"Aww, don't be scared." Calverus cooed, pulling the kitten close to his chest as he stood up. He didn't see any form of identification on the feline, and it looked rather roughed up to be owned by anyone. Of course if ever saw any missing cat posters... Shaking his head he began to stroke the cat in his arms, holding back the widest grin as he continued his journey to his location. Fenrys was certainly going to be suprised. Or maybe not. Calverus hummed, trying to imagine both scenarios, it was rather amusing to him.

"Alright, alright... Ehhh..." Heleina starts to panic, looking at Alex, then back at Syrai before her second mind told her something. "What? Are you sure? I'm uncertain, if they can withstand mind-affecting effects... immortal doesn't mean incorruptible... fine, fine!" After the little talk with herself, she looks at the two. "I know a place where we can do. It's not far, but you have to keep a clear mind. Otherwise you're met with something that even your immortality can't save you from."

On their way to the station, Varroa suddenly takes out her weapon from her pocket and spins around to the back of a detective; she puts her blade close to his adam's apples. Her hostage puts his hands up while the other detective immediately takes few steps away. "What do you think you are doing, Varroa?! I'll report you!" The other detective yelled. Varroa watches him for a moment then pushed the detective away. She slides her weapon back into her pocket and beamed at them, "go ahead.~" Both detectives run away.

“Well now there’s four. This is really getting to be a bit of fun, eh?” He said, without a smile. “So, introductions are in order. I’m Admin, or number 0-0-1-4. And y’all are?” He said, pulling out the folded newspaper article. “So... keep a clear mind? That seems easy enough” he said with a shrug. “Welp. This should be exciting.”

Trooping up the old stairs that creaked under heavy footsteps, Jiu set down its groceries before its apartment door, digging through leather pockets for the keys. The world's awkwardest Macarena dance issued as Jiu patted down the frankly absurd number of pockets it had access to. Those who wear women's clothing look upon its attire and tremble at the grand total of 6 pockets littering its outfit, each deep enough to fit a textbook in! Well, maybe not the textbook part but riffling through the many pockets on its skin was a bit tedious. The amount of lint that found its way under Jiu's fingernails throughout the search was almost unbelievable but no matter how much trash it uncovered, there were still no signs of the keys. Thankfully, Jiu had the foresight to hide away spare keys because one simply didn't live for so long without being some measure of paranoid. Beside the door was a collection of spray cans, most of them empty as the metal ball clattered noisily against the steel. But keen ears would notice that one can sounded different from the rest, as if the metal inside was larger than the rest. Kicking up the royal purple can, Jiu popped off the false cap and fished out what it was looking for; a ball perhaps no bigger than a penny. On the side was a small knob and Jiu twisted mercilessly, letting the hidden key slip out from an almost invisible opening. With the spare key in hand, Jiu wasted no time in opening the front door and replacing the key, shuffling around the tops of the cans just so if anyone was watching, it would be even more difficult to tell which can contained the key.

It was by pure habit that had Jiu unlacing and kicking off chunky shin high boots that it had worn to work. Truly peak fashion with its bright pink shoelaces. It was really regretting impulsively sleeping at the graveyard, body glitter and day old sweat sticking to its skin uncomfortably. Well, that was why it was home now. Stripping down, Jiu just left it's clothes in the entry way and padded to the shower for a well deserved wash. It was only when it stepped out of the shower, muscles relaxed from the warm water and rhythmic beat that it finally remembered what was wrong. A loud curse filled the small studio as Jiu hopped into much too skinny jeans and wrestled on a wrinkled shirt, slamming its knees into corners and stumbling into walls. Hastily throwing perishable food into the fridge and tugging on the half laced up boots, Jiu stumbled out of its apartment and forwent the stairs to jump from the second floor. Jiu's mind raced as it thought back as to where it could have possibly lost its keys, mentally tracing its location. The only real options that it had was the club or the graveyard. The graveyard seemed more likely and easier to search and thus Jiu retraced its steps to run towards its final resting place.

In it's haste, however, it forgot its mask, still sitting innocuously in the entryway as Jiu rushed through busy streets, past four familiar weirdos

The sun rays that managed to enter Algar's apartment through his half-open blinds peacefully woke him up. He had a good night's sleep, the first after all the torture he went through. It wasn't almost half an hour later after he woke up that he made up his mind and decided to get up and start his day. He didn't even bother to fix his bed,who would enter his apartment anyway?

Algar didn't even need to tend to his hair so he just dressed up and headed outside. The amount of people who knew that he was an immortal could be counted using just one hand, though he had no idea what to do if he encountered another one. Even if that was the case he stepped outside, placed his hand over his eyes so that they would slowly adjust to the brightness of the sun, which was way brighter than his room.

After that,he started aimlessly walking around the neighbourhood, trying to forget even for a moment what happened in the last couple of months. He couldn't believe that he missed breathing clean, well, for the city's standards, air.

Her mind was hardly with the conversation, causing her not to understand much of what was going on. She was mostly in a daze at this point, tired and lacking the energy to stay involved. She was on autopilot to compensate, which had given a nod to confirm she was ready and her feet something to do. It wasn't until they had passed another face that she had recognized that she finally snapped out of it and became alert. She continued following, figuring that it was best to do so anyways considering the circumstance, but her head had turned to look behind her in curiosity. It was irritating, the feeling of knowing someone and not getting the chance to confirm it or not.
