A Lifetime of Nightmares - RP

Syrai, unsurprisingly, showed no reaction toward the sound, but instead kept her eyes below her and her focus on the two immortals around her.

"Yes, I'm aware... yes, the risk that I get blamed is there... I don't know why, but after eighty years in confinement, you believe me to act normal? Oh, get back to my unconscious... Don't worry. Time is not a driving factor for me. But for them."

Pausing in its appraisal of different meats and cuts hanging from meat hooks and displayed on heated trays, Jiu raised a thin eyebrow, molten gold eyes flickering to the direction at which the shot could be traced to, before returning to its shopping. Violence wasn't something Jiu dabbled in anymore and it was glad to leave that life behind. Though if the thriving pots of aconite and rhododendron that sat innocently on the windowsill of its drab apartment, busts of violet and lilac bringing color to the grey cracked walls were anything to go by Jiu still held certain reservations. With a silent point, Jiu's purchase of pork hawk was neatly wrapped up with butchers twine and wax paper, the string digging into scarred and callused fingers and Jiu left the store. With more than enough food for the entire month and more groceries that what it knew how to deal with, Jiu could only sigh and make the trek towards the apartment. It could only thank it's lucky stars that it's living place was close enough that whatever chaos bred the existence of gunfire was far far away from the little studio that it owned. Adjusting its mask once again, making sure that the lip fit snugly against the contours of its delicate cheekbones, Jiu set off, groceries dragging leaden arms down with its straining plastic

Calverus gave a quiet coo after confirming that nobody was around, reaching out towards the kitten and making small clicking noises with his tongue. It was definitely nervous of him, scampering away from his hand. He gave a small laugh and he sat on the ground, leaving his hand outstretched. After what felt like hours, Cal felt something cold touch his finger. He smiled down at the kitten, slowly scooping it up into his arms. The little gray ball of fur immediately panicked, digging it's claws into his hands.
"Aww, don't be scared." Calverus cooed, pulling the kitten close to his chest as he stood up. He didn't see any form of identification on the feline, and it looked rather roughed up to be owned by anyone. Of course if ever saw any missing cat posters... Shaking his head he began to stroke the cat in his arms, holding back the widest grin as he continued his journey to his location. Fenrys was certainly going to be suprised. Or maybe not. Calverus hummed, trying to imagine both scenarios, it was rather amusing to him.

It was by pure habit that had Jiu unlacing and kicking off chunky shin high boots that it had worn to work. Truly peak fashion with its bright pink shoelaces. It was really regretting impulsively sleeping at the graveyard, body glitter and day old sweat sticking to its skin uncomfortably. Well, that was why it was home now. Stripping down, Jiu just left it's clothes in the entry way and padded to the shower for a well deserved wash. It was only when it stepped out of the shower, muscles relaxed from the warm water and rhythmic beat that it finally remembered what was wrong. A loud curse filled the small studio as Jiu hopped into much too skinny jeans and wrestled on a wrinkled shirt, slamming its knees into corners and stumbling into walls. Hastily throwing perishable food into the fridge and tugging on the half laced up boots, Jiu stumbled out of its apartment and forwent the stairs to jump from the second floor. Jiu's mind raced as it thought back as to where it could have possibly lost its keys, mentally tracing its location. The only real options that it had was the club or the graveyard. The graveyard seemed more likely and easier to search and thus Jiu retraced its steps to run towards its final resting place.
In it's haste, however, it forgot its mask, still sitting innocuously in the entryway as Jiu rushed through busy streets, past four familiar weirdos
Algar didn't even need to tend to his hair so he just dressed up and headed outside. The amount of people who knew that he was an immortal could be counted using just one hand, though he had no idea what to do if he encountered another one. Even if that was the case he stepped outside, placed his hand over his eyes so that they would slowly adjust to the brightness of the sun, which was way brighter than his room.
After that,he started aimlessly walking around the neighbourhood, trying to forget even for a moment what happened in the last couple of months. He couldn't believe that he missed breathing clean, well, for the city's standards, air.
