Dex Entry Writing Contest

Hi there! Didn't see you!
We keep discovering more and more different formes of known pokémon that the PokéDex can't keep up! Several Dex Entries have the same text as the base form. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but it makes the Dex kind of a dull read. . . And some of them don't really make sense either. Just imagine! Would a winged horse really be concerned about running?

Maybe you guys can help! I'm sure plenty of you have inspiration just waiting to burst out, so don't keep it bottled up! Take your pen(cils) and keyboards and write those Dex Entries!

Reward Time
As always with contests, there's something in it for everyone who puts in the effort. If you're one of the winners your entry will be added to the official pokédex. You will also receive a Flute Combo as a prize!

If you join but don't win, you will still receive a consolation prize of 500 Event Points as thanks for joining (:

Requirements
Entry: Make sure the pokémon you're writing for, doesn't have a unique entry already. Most PH-megas are a safe bet, but there are some events that slipped through the cracks and don't have an entry either. Only PH-exclusive pokémon [pokémon you can only find here] qualify. Some official pokémon don't have their own entry (yet), but it's not up to us to change that.
Length: A Dex entry can be up to 225 characters long. Shorter is no problem, but please don't write any longer.
Copyright: The entry has to be written entirely by you. You are allowed to draw inspiration from official Dex entries, but you cannot copy-paste any part of them.

How to enter
When you are satisfied with your entry, send it through PM to CatLady. If you post it in the thread, it will be disqualified.

Make sure to put "Writing Entry Submission" as your subject, so it doesn't fall through the cracks when I start collecting them.

Deadline

The deadline is October 1st, 23:59
The winners will be chosen by us, the staff, based on quality.

what about the mega spriting contest? I mean, nobody knows who has won yet - so is it alright to write one for ya own sprited megas or rather not?

Could you name some pokemon that don't have a dext yet? It's quite hard to find...

Are there specific ones that need to be rewritten? Or do we just have to find them?

Since my Mega Dex only has one entry in it (;-;), could you list the ones that need a re-write?

Pretty much every mega that was created by and for PH doesn't have its own entry. Their entry is copy-pasted from their base form. Hence why they're a "safe bet" (;
The only exception to this [from what I remember], is the Crobat one, because the creator added their own entry-text in the submission.

Events are a little trickier because Riako usually gave them one. You can try your hand at it, but you'll need to do a little digging first.

I'd say you can submit up to 3 or 4.

If you're looking for pokemon in need of a dex entry, you can see the PH exclusive megas at the bottom of this wiki page. (Though at least the Galarian mega rapidash seems to be missing from that list.)

Also, thanks for the neat contest! It'll be nice to get at least some of these poor neglected pokemon their very own dex entries and I'll definitely see if I can come up with some suggestions. :,]

a question about some of the darker Mega entries. Are we allowed to write a little bit into the dark entries as long as it's appropriate?

As long as they're appropriate, you can go a little dark.

Preferably all in the same PM or as replies to a previously sent submission. It makes it easier for me to keep track of who submitted which entries.
