"RIGHT!!! What's your name?" He smiles.
Thea looks at the small display besides the wheel of the car. 07:50. There's ten minutes till she'll be a forgotten chapter. A flower that never got to bloom. Her youth ends before it started. She looks up at her aunt for a short while and is immediately met with a smile. They exchange looks.
"Um. You should probably look at the road...?"
"Thea, dear. I have no idea where I'm going. Pull up the darn map for me."
"Shutting yourself off isn't an appropriate way to deal with any kind of situation either...Maybe she's trying out new recipes? It's her first couple days as a parent. I can't imagine how hard it must be for all of you,really...Come on now! It's a new day and the start of the school year! Try to cheer up!" he puffed his chest trying to give emphasis.
"It's nice to meet you, Harper. I'm Val," he says, before realizing his mistake. "You.. already know that. Nevermind." He looks to the ground, his face flushing from embarrassment. C'mon, Valentin. You're the man with the plan. You can make this work.
"So. Do... know your way around the school yet...? You should probably get your schedule and stuff..."
"This is definitely not the allowed speed limit, aunt Nicoline...!"
"Kid, do you want us to be late or not?!"
Saying this, aunt Nicoline stomps on the speeder. The poor, poor car vrooms in desperation, giving speed to another chase. A rodeo.
They nearly fly through town from town, Thea only recognizing half of them by name alone. Finally, they reach something that she can recognize from looks.
"Stop the car! It's here! It's here!" She yells at her aunt, before hitting her head against the car roof because of the vehicle stopping so abruptly. "Thanks."
Stepping outside of the car, she checks her phone. 07:59. Damn. One minute...

Drew blinked as one of the highschoolers made eye contact with him and he gave a timid nod back before recognizing Alex. Relaxing slightly, he smiled a bit, remembering that Alex had been a year or two older than him in middle school, and was a familiar face to Drew. Maybe this year, he'd finally agree to snap some shots of the kid - if he could tone it down a couple of notches! Laughing to himself quietly, Drew stashed his camera in his locker and turned abruptly, nearly smashing into another kid. "I- I'm so sorry! Are you- Are- Uh...woah..." Drew halted in the middle of his apology and stared. This kid had a prosthetic arm. Drew looked back up with wide eyes, and saw that the boy was probably a good couple of years older than him. "Sorry for almost bumping into you! I don't really know my way around yet," Drew said somewhat sheepishly.

Charlie squeaked as she opened a door on the stairs and just missed a kid with - what, like...twelve...twenty even? A lot of books in his hands. Of course. This must be Elliot; she knew of him from some of her friends, but she'd never really met him. Charlie steadied the box in her arms and peeked at some of the titles, ranging from a little boring to downright brilliant (in her opinon). "What'cha reading? It must be good if you can carry that many books at once without so much as batting an eye," she said lightheartedly, discreetly keeping an eye out for anything Elliot might trip on. From what she knew about him, Elliot was a little pretentious, but very kind, as he took the time to help a lot of students with their studies.
