Regina pursed her lips and sighed. It wasn't easy, trying to be nice to Shiloh and Ian. Especially since she still didn't know if her parents were still out there somewhere. Being in the orphanage had given her the hope that she could at least know if they had died or not. Closure. Being adopted made it seem as if there was no hope for her at all. That was the main reason why she resented them so much. But he had a point. "I guess you're right," she admitted, "But it's not easy." She stiffened as she realized they were being watched. Or, at least, she felt like it. She glanced around, but no one seemed to be near them. Weird...

Entering the schoolyard, Val stops for a bit to look around. Accidentally bumping into a pair of students by halting, he glances around after the initial embarrassment shooting his eyes to the ground. It was the usual deal. Not really a lot of new students except for a few selected ones. Just a lot of - he looks to Elliot - rich people and - he looks to Regina - rich people... in spirit?
Wait. Looking at Regina a bit more... The guy next to her was the Alexander kid, but who was the other kid lurking behind them?
'Uh... should probably tell someone about that... I didn't know stalkers actually existed,' Val thinks, looking around for any potential bodyguards that could most likely fend off a stalker. Yet again, he lets his eyes wander, this time landing on a tall ginger girl. A new student. Perfect.
He non-suspiciously, yet very suspiciously nonetheless, walks over to the girl, near-whispering a 'hello'.

Thea looks at the clock on her phone. Geez. Could she really run to school in 17 minutes? She was always the last one to finish the 5 km run at school, often coming up with the excuse that she was allergic to running. It never worked. Figures.
Sighing, she checks her pockets once again. No spare change. No bus ticket. She sighs again for dramatic effect and begins running anyways. Sure she can do this.

"It's hard for me to imagine, but I'll take your word for it!" he paused for a bit. "Regardless, getting to know and living with a bunch of people shouldn't be that challenging for you,Regina. I assume you've faced much worse hardships."

"Also please tell me whether or not I'm pushing my luck, yeah? I know better than to stick my nose in matters that have nothing to do with me,more so regarding sensitive topics like such." It felt like there weren't many students present, but it was nice to see so many people get together again and exchange news.

Someone approaching her? That’s not normal. “Can I help you?” Harper raised an eyebrow, cocking her head to the side. She scanned Val through squinted eyes, her surprise conveyed through the skeptical look she gave him. She wasn’t sure if he wanted anything, but at the same time, she wasn’t sure how she was going to inevitably shut him down for whatever he needed nor wanted.

Val gathers up his bravery. As much bravery that can fit in a 162 cm boy anyway. "Well. I. Um. I think I kinda saw a stalker? Hiding over there," he points a little distance away from where Alex and Regina are standing, "Those two guys over there are Alexander and Regina, if you... wanted to know, but...! That person standing over there!!! I don't recognize them at all. I'm worried."
He quickly realizes how little that made sense. Hadn't even talked about why he wants this literal stranger to go over there.
"So I'd want you to be... careful....?" He shrugs his shoulders. Internally. Val. oh my god.

sorry I am controlling the principal I want to try to catch up with you all

Rosaline slowly removes her mother's hand from her hair. "mom, this is a school, not some fancy outing." they had already arrived at the school, but her mom had spent 10 minutes trying to perfect rosaline's hair. "still," her mom sighed. "what if you meet the love of your life there? you know, your father and I were in the sam-" "yeah yeah, the same college, and then you only knew he existed because he stopped hiding behind his long hair or something. seriously that is very weird."
her mother shrugged, and finally let go. " you know, I really don't like that you're going to live alone here... I should just sell the company" rosaline just shook her head and looked at her watch. " uncle nightray is close enough anyway"
"well.. say hi to your scary friend-" "Regina?" "yes ! that one. such a dear" rosaline avoided mentioning that Regina barely listens to anyone lest she calls anyone her friend but she stayed silent. "oh,,, Elliot as well! ask him to study with you and get your grades up for once " opening the car door, rosaline chucked herself out of the car and gave it a tap.

she enters the school, seeing a bunch of teenagers in their own cliques and weird groupings, highfiving everyone she knew. spotting regina and alex, she also spotted a stray ava anxiously standing. " they dont bite!" she stands next to them, offering a twix.

She nodded. "Just a tad." There was only so far she was willing to take the subject of her being adopted, especially since while Regina was willing to talk to Alex, she wasn't particularly close. He was right, though. Living in a somewhat normal home (which would be more normal if Shiloh and Ian weren't so particularly fond of reptiles and cooking strange new dinners each week) was not something that she was used to, after coming from an orphanage, and the life of knowing nothing about where she came from, who her parents were, or any of her other family members. When she was younger, she used to wonder why a distant relative wouldn't come and find her, but now she knew that was never going to happen. Maybe it was best that she actually makes an effort to like Shiloh's and Ian's antics, they were really trying, after all. She shook herself from her thoughts, stopping for a minute. "Maybe you do have a point, but I am not eating blue pasta, Alex. Never. No matter how hard Shiloh is trying to be a mother." She glanced back, this time seeing Ava and Rosaline, pulled her hoodie tighter over her head, hunched her shoulders, and gripped her necklace with one hand, grip so hard her knuckles turned white. "Sometimes I wish I lived on the moon, then I wouldn't have to talk to people," she muttered.

Leah rushed into the hallway. As she ran,she tripped and landed hard onto the floor. She groaned”Uh,this is the worst first day ever”.She tries to push herself up but is pinned by her backpack she packed before she left the weird house. She thinks I thought that this would be easy after going through this before.Well she wasn’t sure if she could call it school. She still remembered that this is a new age.

Eon grimaced, shrugging a little. "You'd be surprised how many summer camps deny campers if they're missing an arm." Eon lifting the fake extension a little, waving it slightly. "It's fun to make up stories of how I lost the it for the freshmen, but it tends to get in the way." He grinned, removing the arm and holding it out for Elliot to shake the hand, his goofy grin only getting wider. "Good to see you again, Elliot."

Elliot wasn't sure if the version he knew about how Eon lost his arm was the right one either to be frank. The amount of rumors surrounding such subjects were almost absurd and Elliot simply didn't bother himself with it. Why chase baseless conjuncture when written facts were just a book away? Taking a glace down to see that the aforementioned student had removed his arm just to shake hands, Elliot rolled his eyes at the act but couldn't keep the amused smile from tugging on his face. "It's good to be back." He admitted, firmly shaking the prosthetic, enough to almost pull the arm from Eon's grasp. "If you ever need any assistance with studying, you know where to find me."

Eon nodded, his friendly demeanor still sticking to him as he attached his arm and listened to Elliot. "Indeed I do. Thank you for the offer." Leaning a bit closer, Eon muttered, "Between you and me, I've got a good feeling about studying this year." Of course, he had said that last year as well. And the year before. Still, though, the material of his false arm always let the paper slide as he tried to write. Grinning, Eon leaned back. "It'll be a good year, I can feel it." He tapped his gut with his real hand, indicating his usually-confused gut feeling.

Raising a hand to her face to tuck a few stray hairs behind her ear, Charlotte "Charlie" Maxwelle came to a stop as she finally reached the school building just in front of her. With a box tucked neatly under her arm and hair up in a loose bun, she looked around to see several familiar faces all chattering away; even Regina, a notorious lone wolf, was talking! Charlie smiled. She was so excited to start the next year. Of course she loved working at the bakery all day and being able to keep it open through the morning and afternoon, but she'd missed the craziness of high school as well, and sophomore year was bound to be even better than her first year! Swiping at a patch of flour on her nose, Charlie decided to figure out where her new locker was.

-

Snap! The flash of Drew's camera blinked brightly in the sunny morning as he zoomed in on a caterpillar he'd found just outside of the school. Satisfied with the shot, he wondered whether there was a yearbook club at the school, or a photography club. It was a little nerve-wracking, he thought as he pushed open the door to gaze around at all of the students, to be starting high school, but he figured that anything couldn't be worse than the early years of middle school. Of course, it helped that he'd already gotten to know some kids through summer soccer practices, but even so, Drew couldn't help but be a bit intimidated to see all of the different groups of people.

Ah yes, this song and dance again. The other had said the same thing last year and yet had still enlisted in Elliot's aid. At least some things didn't change and Elliot good-naturally bumped the other with his shoulder. "Hmh, and I have a feeling that I won't step into the library at all this term." He quipped back, entirely sarcastic. If there was one thing about Elliot that shone brighter than his last name, it would be his borderline obsession with books (or perhaps was the fact that he was one of the few student tutors available), the library serving as a second place of residence for him. "Aside from that, was it not your gut that landed you in trouble last year?" But if it was one thing Elliot couldn't quite refute it was Eon's assessment of the year. After all, a good year just meant him getting through school without any large incidents occurring. A simple requirement all around.

"Weeeeeeeeellll." Eon exaggerated the 'e,' dragging out out with a sigh and a shrug. "I mean, if you were to look carefully, maybe do a bit of digging as well, and uh... Maybe do some fingerprinting at the scene of the crime, I guess you might be able to try and blame my gut." Eon chuckled, his rather boyish attitude hardly flickering while he spoke. Good humor to go around, at the beginning of this school year.

Ava was so close, just about to set their plan in action when they were interrupted by The Tallest Girl Ever. "AH!" Their idea of jumping on Alex to give both him and Regina a heart attack seemed to have turned on them. They immediately shot themselves up from shock, ruining any sneakiness they had before. It's a sad day for a clown.

They groaned and exaggerated their expressions to the most extreme their human face would allow. "Miss Tall Lady! Rosa? Rosa." They dusted their clothes and pouted at Rosaline "You shouldn't ruin a genius' plan like this." Their eyes trailed off to the chocolate bar Rosaline was offering someone, presumably them, the moment they finished their lecture. "...I guess I'll let you off the hook, just this once, consider yourself lucky and at the mercy of my diving all-giving hands" They yanked the candy with their usual smile plastered all over their face.

Thea whines out into the open air. Why was this her life now? Running?! She just wants to go home. Look up fan-made AMVs for whatever franchise. Just relax. She begins humming a song for herself to get some encouragement, but it really just makes her more exhausted.

A car slows down when driving towards her. Never a good thing. She thinks up about 12 different escape plans before the car's passenger reveals itself. Aunt... Nicoline?
"Thea? What are you doing out here? I thought today was your first school day!" She says, slinging an accusing hand out of the window. Thea retracts herself, but steps closer again to show Nicoline the map on her phone, now displaying '21 km'.
"Herregud, child... hop in. I'll have to teach you about proper preparation and discipline."
Thea gulps. She enters the car.

Harper’s face dropped. Folding her arms and letting out a highly exaggerated sigh, she opened her eyes again and looked at Val with eyes glittering with menace. “Listen, I don’t know who you are, or who they are, but I think it would be best if you scrambled on away.” Though her words were gentle, her tone was dripping with annoyance. She was sure this was enough to send him away without much word of her.. personality getting around.

rosaline laughs at the easily amused ava. "well. rosa works. or line. haha. imagine being named after a fishing line, that would be funny." she eats her own chocolate bar while looking around. "some very interesting characters here!" she looks at harper and val, contemplating whether to tell the short guy to leave her alone, even though he looked very ,,,innocent.

Letting his shoulders drop in a sigh, Elliot ran a hand over his face. And this was exactly why he preferred the company of books over troublesome people. While he wasn't that uptight like the rest of his family about who he associated with what with the more outdated views that belonged firmly in the past, Elliot still liked to think he surrounded himself with respectable people. But of course he attracted the oddballs and the troublemakers because whatever higher powers present was out to make his life specifically as unpleasant as it could be. But that being said, brats who were a handful were Elliot's specialty anyways and Eon was slowly growing onto him (hard not to when you spent time with the other. He just had the type of personality that would have others let their guard down around). "Well, keep that competitiveness of yours in check off the court and I'm sure there won't be any need for any police investigations." He noted lightly.
