MineGames 2.0
Forum-Index → Roleplay → MineGames 2.0Coraline made sure to sit by Bella, who looked like she was about to be sick from anxiety. Ellie's team were all contained in their Pokeballs (yes, even Cream). Rita leaned against the back of the seat as they injected her tracker into her arm.
Ellie grit her teeth together when they injected her tracker, Cream's Pokeball rattled on her belt as though sensing her trainer's distress.

Now they just had to wait for the call. The call to be put in the worst few moments of their life.
Ellie attempted to eat what she could, despite already having some extra pounds to spare. Coraline kept bouncing her knee as she waited for the call. Finally, a woman's voice stated that it was time for launch.
Bella stepped into her tube and the glass shut behind her, sealing her from her stylist, who nodded at her as if to encourage her. Then it started to rise, for about fifteen seconds Bella was in the dark before she was pushed up and into the arena. She struggled to see for a moment, blinking rapidly, but then she could see.
"Ladies and gentlemen," Claudius Templesmith's voice booms around the tributes through hidden speakers. "Let the MineGames begin!"
60 seconds to get a look at the tributes, standing an equal distance from the golden horn, the Cornucopia, that was filled with supplies that would keep them alive. Stepping a second before the time was up would mean death, as the landmines around the metal plates would go off.

Charlie wildly looks around the Arena. She curses to herself, desperately trying to find her target. No, no, no, no! This was bad! This was-! She relaxes, finally finding the person she is looking for. She smirks, keeping her eyes locked on them. She is barely aware of the countdown. She doesn't care about grabbing supplies, no, her job was more important.

Katana eyes the Cornucopia. She'll grab one bag of supplies, that's all she can risk. It would take too much time and energy to fight everyone off and to protect the Cornucopia. She would be safer in the wilderness.
45. 44. 43. 42. 41. 40. 99. 38. 37. 36. 35.
Ellie took a good look around her as she tried to plan her flight path. Straight behind her was water, a decent-sized river. Behind left was Mesa and behind the right was Taiga. To her far right was a large body of water, an ocean maybe? To her far left was the Plains. First thing was first, she needed to group up with Rita, Coraline, and Bella.

Reminder for Ellie's team:
1: Cream (Female Gmax Eevee, starter!)
2: Babs (Female Scorbunny)
3: Ace (Male Rookidee)
4: Bolt (Male Yamper)
5: Kaila (Female Ralts)
6: Zella (Female shiny Zubat, gift from mom)

The time slowly ticked by. The first fifteen seconds spent in darkness, separated from her stylist. Echo’s eyes locked onto Cornucopia. “Supplies.” She thought to herself. Those were of the utmost importance, she would grab whatever she could, then leave, and maybe find a group or partner to team up with
Everything seems to slow down as adrenaline courses through Charlie's veins. She suddenly felt like an animal on a hunt. Her heart pounds with anticipation, each second was one step closer to her final goal.

Katana wanted to disappear. She loses her focus for a moment when she looks around at the others. Will she be attacked? Jumped the moment the clock reaches zero? She'll have to be prepared for that. Hopefully that won't happen. She just wants to grab a bag and go.
Akiro would normally just be getting more nervous, but this time, he was determined. There had to be a way to get out of here alive, without killing anyone. For now, the best he could do was just get out of there as quickly as possible. His eyes narrowed, and his fingers twitched, eager to use his ability as he had been stifiling the urge since he showed Rui, which he was starting to regret.

The gong sounds. Bella and Coraline quickly dart over towards the Ocean, both scooping up a medium-sized bag. Rita grabs her sheath of arrows and bow and the large bag, the Ox boy lunges at her with a scythe, but Rita side steps and shoots an arrow into his arm. Unfortunately nothing fatal, but it's enough to slow him down for her to get away.
Ellie stumbles off her plate and grabs two smaller bags, as she makes her way to the ocean, a large female wielding an ax charges towards her, the weapon raised for the kill.

....
Charlie races after her target. She jumps over bodies, ducks under attacks, and side steps tackles. But finally, after a good sprint she is finally in the clear.
As he was rising up the tube, his thoughts were clear. Shoot to the cornucopia, grab a large bag, grab some kind of a pocket weapon, and be off to the desert.
He did as he planned, when the countdown ran out. He managed to successfully grab a bag, a folding dagger, and, what he did not expect, was finding a mega bracelet in the stash. He did not have a Charizardite...but he took the bracelet nevertheless. If they had provisions for mega evolution...
Once he took it, he saw one of the NPC tributes lunge at him, with an iron sword at their side. Suvansh stimulates the escape route he practiced for so long. With a blast of air below him, he jumped into the air, higher than any human could, which doubled by pushing anyone near the cornucopia afar, released Flare, and without wasting a beat, boarded him. He could just imagine what would happen if this feat went wrong. He would fall...and he would be killed. But he didn't fail, and flew off into the desserts.

"Oh it's you! You want a piece of me! Huh!" Katana asks while swinging her free hand at Charlie. Which she easily manages to dodge and calmly steps out of range. Slowly, she tears off the mask. Now that it no longer covers her neck, her lion tattoo is clearly shown on her neck. The same one as the engraving on the necklace that Katana is currently wearing. Just under her neck, is a large scar, which Charlie pays no mind in hiding. She watches Katana carefully, quietly awaiting her reaction. "Wha-what!?" Katana asks in disbelief, slowly lowering her fist.
"Have you connected the dots now princess?" Charlie asks smoothly. "You know, I was pretty mad to see you wearing that necklace. I really didn't want to protect you. But I was told- 'Charlie, you probably don't care about politics. So I'll mark my sister with a necklace of your tattoo.'" Her tone is mocking, her irritation clearly written in her words.
"What are you talking about!?" Katana demands.
"Quiet. Or I'll freeze your mouth shut." Charlie snaps. "Your brother sent me to protect you. He is pretty smart you know? He knew you would be sent here. That your parents would become desperate, and pay off the Capitol to get you here. He also knew that I am the same age as you. I wonder... If that's why he kept me in the gang for so long..." She mumbles. Her eyes were raised to the sky, as if she were lost in thought.
"Kept you in...? Stop lying! He isn't in a gang!" Katana argues.
"He is... He is the leader actually- the new one" she clarifies quickly, her eyes hardening for a split second as she remembers the old boss. "You see, The Liberation really valued him for his intelligence and physical skills. Also, he had a bit of money at the time. That didn't hurt his chances of getting in. Ah... the information he shared...and the changes he made... I give him too much credit. I can't lie, I had a few ideas that he took into consideration. He is the reason why the Capitol knows us by name. He trained me you know? So I wouldn't bother fighting me. If I can handle him, then you'll be a breeze. Just sit back and let me do my job. After the Games, I'll deliver you to your brother and we'll both be free. I'll also finally make a hefty profit."
"How?" Katana asks. Her eyes are wide, filled with awe and confusion as she struggles to keep up with Charlie. "My parents won't ever let me go. For good reason too."
"Your parents and their business will be no more. You see, he wanted you to be far away from them when The Liberation bankrupted the business. It's all nerdy stuff... Don't make me get into all of that. But 'here' is as far away as possible. In a few days, the business will be over and the Capitol's main source of income will be dried out. All we have to do is survive and wait." She leans forward, meeting Katana's eyes. "I'm sure The Liberation will pressure them into release the both of us alive. Everyone else will just be... Collateral damage." She winces at this, thinking of Rui and Echo. But she has come too far to back down now. She leans away and turns her back to Katana. "You are oddly quiet. Are you too stupid to comprehend all of this? Your brother is going to save you." She snorts. "You don't deserve him."

"Stop it!" Katana shouts.
"Do you even care about him?"
"I said stop!" Katana screams. Fire explodes from the hand trapped to the tree. The force throws Katana off her feet but she is finally free. She throws a blast at Charlie, who raises up an ice wall to absorb the blow. It immediately melts. Still, Charlie is left unscathed.
"So predictable." Charlie says boredly. Katana fires more shots, but Charlie simply does the same thing- builds more ice walls to absorb the blows. But she adds an icicle, which grazes Katana's face.
This sets Katana off. She extends both hands and blasts fire all around Charlie. Attacking every angle. Charlie yelps in surprise and forms an igloo around herself. But to her surprise, she suddenly realizes that her protective barrier is quickly melting. She suddenly screams out in pain when a blast fires above her shoulder, right where her base melted. Her shoulder blade was definitely burnt, but she assumed that was it.
"Am I predictable now?" Katana taunts. Ice appears on the ground and rises up. A wall of ice fires towards Katana, who simply shoots a blast at it. Smoke fills her vision and when it clears, Charlie is about two feet in front of her. Charlie jumps in the air and kicks Katana's chest. Knocking Katana to the ground. An icicle appears in Charlie's hand. She fires it at Katana, who rolls out of the way to avoid it. Exactly what Charlie predicted. The movement causes a huge gash in appear in Katana's back. The wound was a bit deeper than Charlie intended to cause.
"That's enough. Milo wanted you to come in one piece." Charlie snaps. She winces as she holds a hand on her shoulder and summons some ice. This was the worst way to treat a burn, but Charlie didn't see a better option.
"Don't you dare say his name! He means nothing to you! It's just business right?" Katana screams out, mostly due to her own pain. Still, her words slice deep.
"He means more to me than he'll ever mean to you!" Charlie yells back. Katana sucks in a breath, silently fighting through her pain to listen to her. "He showed me something nobody else could show me... Love." She lets the words drift between the two of them. The final word sinking deep. The two exchange glances, Katana somehow manages to pick up on the true meaning in Charlie's words.
"You are a fool to love him." Katana snaps.
"Maybe." Charlie mutters, bending down so that she can create ice around Katana's wrists, essentially creating cuffs. "But what would you know?"
