Jason rolled around on his bed, thinking about how he wasted his first day of training. Now, it wasn't really a waste, he didn't lay about doing nothing, but all he did was refine his best skill, swordsmanship, and paid a bit of attention to the food edibility training. While he didn't approach anyone yet, he knew he wanted to make allies soon. Private sessions would start the next day, and he was ready for a hearty discussion with Alex, his mentor. Now however much Jason might dislike Alex, he knew he had the expertise to judge his fellow candidates for potential allies well. The arena is going to throw a lot at him, and he is going to be ready for the madness.

Standing in the midst of chaos, Suvansh eyes between Al and everyone who was retreating, and Cat, and however heart-warming her words were, he couldn't do anything but feel it to be stupid. They couldn't kill a strix- more would come after them if they did, if he remembered correct from his classes on the mythical beasts. And while very tempted to just take on Al's offer to run, he needed to make sure Cat did too. And so he did what anyone would do in front of a giant bird that might very well be able to eat them whole, he took out his katana. And ran towards the bird, while shouting at Cat and any other staggerers to run. He knew he needed to run away quick, one talon scratch and he would be good as dead, but the adrenaline ensured that he let the bird back for the others to escape, slashing out at the bird when it clawed at him, trying to neither get a scratch, nor to kill the bird.

Jace thought about the offer for a while. "3 people...so 10% for you...seems fair to me." He couldn't argue much anyways- 150k gold, was, a lot, period.

Jace scoffed at Prince Ben's humbling nature, but appreciated it. He was right how they did not deserve it... "Tentacles..." He murmured as he listened to what Ben said about the monster. It was scary, but the prospect of getting so much gold..."How much of the five hundred thousand will I be getting?" He asks Odil. It was... important to clarify that. Who knows he goes in gets the job done and then Odil gives him not a penny of what he deserves...

Jason did not have perfect skin like a lot of the other district 1 tributes, but it wasn't as dirty as the other districts either, and took little time to smoothen. About his hair, his stylist decided to keep it as it was, curly black [x].
As for his dress, he was given a masquerade dress,
complimenting Alora's. [x]. It felt a bit goofy, but he did not hate it. It just felt a tad bit too fancy.
That night, he couldn't sleep much, even in the silkily comfortable beds of the Capitol. Afterall, he was away from home, away from his district, for the first time. This wasn't some Hotel his dad had booked for a vacation, even though it very likely could've been, it was a vacation where he faced imminent death. The plain white room he was given was making him to crazy. It had just no decor, nothing like his room back home. And it reminded him how much of his life the Capitol controlled now. What did not help him was the sound of glass shattering from the next room- was Alora fine? Probably. He shouldn't care anyways, they were just district mates- and old friends- and one of them or both were gonna die soon.

"Sorry" Jace muttered, ruffling his hair. He bowed to the prince, "Your majesty, would you care to describe the monster better?" In the shock of the intel, he had forgotten how much he hated the prince and the royalty... which only increased when he remembered it was the princess who had "summoned" the demon.

A demon- what in hell?? Was the prince out of his mind?? And-and- 500k gold?? He was definitely dreaming. A monster named Krull... in the dungeons... artifact that kept him alive... all that boggled Jace. Also, the fact that Odil had caught him eavesdropping. So, ashamed at being caught, he went on to enter the room to reveal himself, but embarrassingly found it locked and smacked into the doorframe.

Interesting. Jace thought. Sister, the new princess? It must be the prince they were talking about. And yes, the voice matched. So he went missing a few days ago, and now he is into hiring robbers, to steal something from his sister?

Jace eyes Willow's tools wearily but said nothing. He usually did not keep tools with him, and had little experience with lock picking. He was sneaky- he stole in broad daylight, and not by breaking into homes. When some time had passed, he grew restless and decided to walk upto the room the other three were in, and put his ears to the door sneakily, eavesdropping.

Immediate regret washed over Suvansh's eyes as he stepped out of the border, having decided not to take the jacket with him to save space. The weather at the camp was controlled all year long, and thus different from the rest of the world, so none of them noticed it so earlier, but it didn't make sense- what? And how? It literally wasn't possible, the temperature going subzero in July! He thanked Al gratefully as he passed him the blanket, and asked, "So are we going back to camp? I am pretty sure all of us must have the necessary clothes in our cabins?" He asked, as it was so for him. The part about visiting Hades gave him goosebumps, but also gave him a rush of adrenaline.

Just as Jason smiled back to Alora, his smile vanished, as he saw the mentors come in. The young man in particular. "Alex." he said, "What did I expect, of course papa paid you to mentor me." In front of him was the person who trained him for most of his life. District one was a district full of careers. And careers needed training. Who better to get to train your children than previous victors, when you can afford them? "Yes, he did, Jace, but that's none of your concerns right now. We have discussed your strategy, your weakness, and your strengths many times before, and we shall do it again, and again, in the days leading to the Games, you understand me?"
"Whatever" Jason replied with distaste. He made him train all those years, kay. He made him volunteer for the Games. And now, he controlled who got to guide him away from his certain doom. Or not. He could very well fail. Especially if he kept the same attitude all this while.
"Look Jason, I know you don't like me. We have established that enough throughout your years of training. Now, just bear with me for a week. Another week, and if you survive, which you will, you will never have to bear with me ever again." Max says, clapping Jason's shoulders.
Jason swatted his hands off, and muttered, "Okay." He wiped the expression of disgust off his face, knowing what Max said was true. In a week or two. Whether through his death or through his victory. It would finally be over. He grinned at the thought, and nonchalantly asked his trainer and now mentor, "Where do we start again?"

Jace's eyes followed the cloaked figure with piqued interested, but lingered around like Willow did, waiting for an affirmation to follow. Meanwhile, he extended his hand to Willow, and introduced himself, "Jace, nice to meetcha." And though his voice was bland, his expressions suggested he was interested in her.

"As you say" He shrugged, as he fetched himself a barstool to sit on. He didn't mind waiting, and stealing for clients was better than freeloading anyways. Now, he shifted his attention towards Willow. What had Odil been talking about to her? She was a good thief, eh? They'd see who was better...

"Oh yes, I remember now. Alora. We used to play together." He said as he recognized her. He pouted then, wondering why she stopped coming to him, but then he remembered. "Yelena was your sister right. She- she protected you. She was a nice person." He said gently, hoping it wasn't a sensitive topic to her. "I liked it when you came to my house. It used to be a nice change." He said, which was true. This was before he was even 11, when he had nothing but toxic friends, and rigorous training at home.

"The royalty doesn't deserve all they own. They take taxes from the citizens in the name of running the country, and spend half the money on luxuries for themselves." Jace replied in spite. He did not have pleasant memories with the royalty. "And a job, sir, would be an honour." He says, bowing for show.

Jace lingered around the corner to where Odil and Willow were, counting his day's haul. He had enough gold to...get about another day's worth of stay here at the Tavern! And when he was about to call it a day, he remembered his little haul. The necklace- the one he found in a barrel that was going to the palace. How the royalty leaves around such riches lying around- And so, he approached Odil, unsure of what to do of it, though he was sure it was worth a lot. "Odil! What do you reckon I'd get for this one?" He asks, showing a glimpse of the necklace out of his pocket.

A student is dead. A student is dead.
The thought revolved in Suvansh's mind, not being able to wrap his head around the situation. There was a prophecy, yes. Someone cast Morsmorde, check. But killing a student. That was just another whole level for Suvansh. While he didn't know Willow much, chatter suggested how sweet of a soul she was. It made him panic more than the thought that there was a fricking dragon in the Forbidden Forest a moment ago, which he was just about to go check out. For now, though, he went into the Great Hall and tried to cheer up anyone he could find who was scared, whether it was a Hufflepuff or Slytherin, first-year or fifth.

Jason had welled a tear in his eye as he was dragged by the peacekeepers onto the train, though yes, he wiped it before he was on it. He couldn't show weakness to anyone, much less his district partner. District 1 was the last stop the train took before setting out for the Capitol, therefore he was to be the last tribute to set his foot on this damned train this year. He went straight to the compartment allotted to district 1, where Alora already sat. He sat by her as she meditated, not betraying a sound of disturbance. He did not know Alora, but he had definitely seen her somewhere, probably at school. He sat in silence, as she did, relaying the conversations with his mumma and papa in his head. And about Emily. His ill-mannered yet loving sister. He could not bear to never see them again, however they were. Especially his mum, after seeing how sensitive she was towards him that day. Jason did not speak a word even after she was done meditating and saw him there and only spoke when the staff came and set their table with food. And however good the food back at his house was, this tempted Jason too. Obviously, the Capitol would not provide even the luxuries of districts with stuff as good as theirs. "I'm Jason" he gently introduced himself, as he took a serving of pasta.
