Flicker of Hope (APL part 2)
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Flicker of Hope (APL part 2)Agent 8 looked Ripley up and down, she seemed okay, she didn't have a weapon that she could see. "You sound like him." She said the last part with slight venom.
*Ripley looked at the inkling* Who?
The Octoling's green eyes flickered up at the speaker. "The scarred man."
*Maddy violently coughed into her hand as the video started. After about 7 seconds of heavy breathing however, she began speaking* So... where to begin with- *Maddy paused and took some more deep breaths* The story of me.. well, first off, my real name is Madison Grace Dakotas. I was born on March 18th, 2002 in Maine and- *Maddy chuckled slightly and began to ramble* Jesus, that seems so long ago. And with all of the chaos that's been happening I forgot. Today's my birthday.. *Maddy paused and coughed a couple of times before continuing* Ya, I'm umm... I'm 28 years old today and *Maddy picked up a cup of water and raised it up before sarcastically quipping* Still healthy as ever *As Maddy chuckled at her own joke, Lucy chuckled as well. Maddy took a sip of the water before continuing* 28 years old and *Maddy looked at her watch before then shrugging and holding her arm up* Broken watch *Maddy shook her head and coughed a few more times before continuing with a harsh voice* But I'm 24 years old and, maybe less than an hour sober so.. ya *Maddy opened her mouth as if she was about to continue but the video suddenly ended.
*Lucy lowered the DVD player and looked forward into nothing. She angrily shook her head and spoke to herself* I'm going to find him Maddy... dont you worry, I'll find him.
Agent 8, or better known as Lucky,
*The wolf began to walk towards her, prompting Lucy to ready her gun just in case. However as it got closer, it continued going forward until it reached the jail, where it stopped and looked at Lucy. Lucy slowly stood up and walked towards the jail. Once she was a few feet away from the door of the jail, and thus the wolf, she slowly walked past it and went into the jail. And finally, after a week of searching, she found a clue. On the ground, there was some dried mud that spelled out "Ripley was here". Lucy smiled and whirled around to look at the wolf but it had vanished. She ran out the door and surveyed the area, but saw nothing. The wolf vanished. But Lucy's hopes had been revived as she set out back on her way to find Ripley.*

Lucky was given a weapon "E-liter 4K scope" it was called. Once she had exited the gate she was staring at a large stack of crates in a 6X10 fashion, as she carefully examined the box tower Benton's voice blipped on the speaker overhead. "You need to break all of these crates to pass the test. However, you only get one shot. Make your own luck out there Agent 8." The intercom cut off and Lucky watched as the three large balloons lazily drifted from side to side, one balloon was near the top, the second in the middle, and the last near the bottom. Okay. . .so she just had to line these up then. . .right?
Lucky shifted her footing and looked down the scope, taking careful aim and-
She pulled the trigger and hit the balloon in the middle, causing it to inflate and explode, triggering the other two balloons as well. Then they exploded destroying all the boxes aside from three in the lower left-hand corner. Lucky's eyes widened when she spotted them, just as the ink sac on her back inflated. "You didn't bust all the crates. Test failed." Then the sac of ink on Lucky's back exploded into purple ink, effectively taking the Octoling out. She however responded shortly after, and so had the boxes. "Four tries left Agent 8."
Faith had left her group behind in an attempt to follow Lucy, only to lose sight of her and stumbled upon something that made her lose interest in Lucy for a few moments. It was a smallish building of sorts that looked incredibly run down and abandoned, as Faith slowly got closer she realized that this was an outpost. Was this Benton's? And if it was, did that mean he was nearby? Faith carefully examined the base with uttermost care, fearing one misstep would cause her discovery.
