" Well, If you're gonna do it. Be careful. Watch your back and peek
corners. If you see any light, run. Considering the place we are in
only run if necessary. The echo will let them know your location."
says Kenji. " The rest of us will probably wait here. We don't know
who or what is down here after all. Best to have a safe retreat in
case we see anyone." He points to the manhole above.

Xaiver nodded. "I can teleport," he explained, "and it doesn't make
any noise. So, if I do see anyone, it's most likely I'll see them
before they see me. But, I'll only go if the rest of you think it's
best." He looked around at the others, wondering what they thought
of the plan. In his head, it seemed best, but he wanted to know if
anyone else had a better idea.
“I’ll be back up, my shadows are Low right now” She Replied. “I do
think you guys have great ideas though, but we should plan for a if
we get caught or split up situation” Rae frowned, contemplating the
situation, trying to figure the most logical method.
Faith's eyes trailed down the sewer passageways, waiting for
something to happen. However, she got a tickle in her throat and
started coughing, and she couldn't stop. Dropping her weapon Faith
slipped to her hands and knees as she started coughing and gagging.
Something was wrong but she didn't know what.
Xaiver was peering into the darkness, occasionally glancing back to
see if any of them wanted him to go through with the idea, but he
whipped around when he heard the coughing. His eyes fell on Faith,
and he took a few steps in her direction. Though he was usually
quiet, his voice raised with concern. "Faith? You alright?" Of
course she wasn't alright, but he was hesitatent to do anything.
That set his brain on panic mode. He had to help her! But he
couldn't, he didn't want to hurt or. But he couldn't just sit
here-Gah, this was the worst mindset. He looked around at the
others, panick in his eyes. "Does anyone know what's wrong with
her?"
Salvadore shook his head and helped Faith up once the gagging fit
had passed. Very gently, he removed Faith's one arm from her shirt
to examine the bullet wound, only to find to his terror the
blackish purple area had turned orange, and to make matters worse
it was spreading along her shoulder to her arm. "Jesus Christ! What
the hell did they shoot you with?"
Faith looked up at Salvadore with a confused and somewhat blank
look, her eyes somewhat glossy as if they were unfocused.
--
Lucky stared up at Benton. What does he want this time? Kill
more people?
Xaiver wasn't close enough to see most of it, but he got the idea.
The thought that one bullet wound had caused that much damage and
in such a short time, he wasn't a doctor, but he was preety sure
that it wasn't supposed to look like that at all, infected or not.
He felt about as helpless as a six year old, but without thinking,
he said with a hint of fear in his voice, "That's not infected.
Whatever she got shot with is not an ordinary bullet." Great, now
he was saying the obvious. He backed up, still slightly terrified,
knowning he was looking like a fool. For once, he wished he could
melt into the shadows. His voice wasn't needed or wanted.

Salvadore hefted Faith on his back and she clung to him like a
small child. "Lucy! Faith's getting worse."
--
Lucky looked up at Benton. "Un-nya-gi, hasha hono heyshea!" Benton,
for the life of him, couldn't understand Lucky's Octoling tounge,
but he could still tell she was angry, very angry.
*Lucy ran down the tunnels and saw Faith's wound had worsened and
slightly gagged. She began to panic as she thought to herself what
to do. She knew Benton was close. She couldn't turn back now. She
then turned to Salvadore and lightly tossed a first aid kit towards
him* There should be some things to help ease the pain. I'll go
ahead and try to find the way out. You stay with the others and
patch her up.
*Benton didn't waver from where he stood, but instead continued
looking at Agent 8 with his devilish gaze. Like many times before,
Agent 8 angrily turned around and waited for the people Benton
wanted her to kill. But then a man rushed into the room and
stupidly began to speak to Benton* Sir, our scouts have reported
of a group moving towards the city, with the girl.snd the other
octolings in tow! *Benton's eyes widened and he looked towards
the man, who realized his mistake. But upon his attempt to run, he
was shot by Agent 8, who looked right at Benton*

Salvadore dug around in the medkit and finally pulled out some
fever reducers, to which Faith took obediently.
Lucky oddly didn't feel bad about this man turning into goop, she
watched as Benton tried to book it to the doors. No, hell
no. Lucky super jumped high in the air and landed between
Benton and his escape route, effectively blocking his path. She
pointed the weapon at him, eyes burning in hatred. Out of all the
incoherent Octoling vocals that Lucky was screaming at him Benton
only heard one being said, "You lied to me!" Lucky was ready to end
this.
*Benton slowly backed away from the door as Lucky took aim at him.
But then, something grabbed her and threw her across the room, into
the wall, dropping her gun to the ground. She then looked up and
saw a towering figure, over 6 feet tall, walking over to her. Every
step it took let out a big, almost artificial thud. Its joints made
a distinct robotic sound. As it grabbed her, she looked into the
MT's eyes and saw the gears turning in its head
and throughout its entire body. It looked towards Benton and began
to carry her towards him*

Lucky was too stunned and admittedly scared of the intimidating MT
to even try to escape from MT's clutches. By the time she realized
she should make an attempt anyway, was already being held by MT and
in front of Benton. "Aw-dway-squid. . ."
*Benton began to walk out of the training room and the MT followed
until they reached his lab, where Lucky saw feathers and blood
covering one of the tables. She began to struggle as the MT placed
her into a crib like tube. As it let go of her, she struggled even
more, causing it to sock her in the face and pin her arms down into
clamps. She looked at the clamps and attempted to break out of them
but couldn't. Then Benton pushed her head back and put a final
clamp around her head, before stroking her face* Whether or not you
like it, Agent 8, I'll get what I need from you. And once this is
all over, I'll do the same to your sisters. *Lucky began to curse
at Benton but he put a gag in her mouth and closed the crib before
walking away and turning on the machine, which began to suck the
ink out of her*

Lucky made a few attempts to transform into her octopus form but
the clamps had something that restricted her from doing so, the
green Octoling was forced to remain on the board watching in pain
as her ink was forcibly taken from her body, not enough to kill
her, but enough to cause pain. What Lucky didn't know was that the
other prisoners were being forced to watch as well, from their
little TV sets.
Back at base everyone had agreed to rest, and everyone was, but
Faith. She was sitting up and staring off in the distance, she
clearly had a lot on her mind.
Xavier's mind was a mess. It seemed like just before, he had been
hiding in the shadows, staying out of the way, and never bothering
anyone. Being the one with no useful skills, he had always been
quiet, stay away type. But now, he had been ripped away from the
shadows. He was still not a key player, but who could blame him for
being utterly confused. All that he knew was, Xaiver was along for
the ride and he couldn't do one thing about it. At least now, they
had a chance to rest. Xavier had moved away from the rest of the
group but was still watching them, in case there was important
information to be heard.
Rae moved towards Xavier, scooting over with a baby shadow wolf
pup. She placed it in Xavier’s lap, giving him a comforting sort of
smile. “You aren’t alone, you know?” She mumbled with a smile,
before heading back to the group to give Xavier some space. She
conjured another wolf, to amuse Faith, while she inspected the
wound, and the spreading veins. “What were your powers again? Can
you describe the pain?” She asked.
"My power is fire," Faith started slowly. "As for the pain, it's
really hard to describe. . .but. . .its like molten magma flowing
through the parts that are infected."
“Fire....does it hurt when you use your powers, usually? Can you
usually feel flames all over your body? Is it like slimey and goopy
like sludge?” Rae questioned
"No, it doesn't hurt so much when I use my power, but using too
much leaves me feeling burned out." Faith admitted summoning a
small ember, which flickered heartily. "I'm not sure how to really
describe the feeling of the magma. . .maybe more on the sludge
area."
