*Benton leaned back in his chair.* Just keep your guards on full alert with at least two per councilmember's home. Meeting adjourned.

*Tani raced into her home and slammed the door. She walked around in a drunken manner, waving her hands around as she tried to get ahold of her emotions. But she couldn't help it. She picked up a pillow off of her bed and wailed into it, making a muffled shrieking noise*

Sage quickly lost track of Tani. She stops running and sighs. I'm sure she'll be fine Sage thinks to herself. But only to make herself feel better. She turns around and walks back over to the town hall. Maybe she can get there in time to hear a little bit. Her heart drops when she notices that people are leaving the town hall. Benton is going to have a field day with this she thinks to herself angrily as she waits outside of the town hall.

Gwen turns away from Benton, not wanting him to see the rage in her eyes. She hates it when he tells her what to do. Especially now. Her guards should have their full attention on protecting the kingdom as a whole, they don't need the added work of protecting the council members. Especially members such as Benton. She doesn't speak her thoughts though. She already crossed a few lines with Benton, it would be best for her to not push her luck.

Luke sees this and wished he knew how he could help Tani. He gets in front of the door and is about to knock, when he realizes that Tani probably wanted to be alone right now. He walks away and goes into his house, leaving the door unlocked. He remembered the times she came over and happily smiled. He sighs and takes out some sweets and eats them, not knowing what to do.

Barry is in a store sitting in a chair. Why he didn’t do this at his house, he didn’t know. He sighs, not wanting to talk to anyone.

Irin sat back down, then spotted councilman Benton. "Er.. Excuse me, councilman Benton?" He smiled and stood up, his impressive height visible even from far away. He started to stroll over so that he didn't have to yell. " Excuse my intrusion, sir, but... I do believe that's a new record for pissing off the entire council! " His grin would be contagious to anybody.. Well, anybody that could feel joy. "Correct me if I'm wrong, sir, but I'm fairly sure that's also a new record for how much you've pissed somebody off all in your own!" He kept approaching the councilman , ignoring a few orders to back away.

Sage rushes over to Blossom, her eyes wide with worry. "What did I miss?" She asks. "And what did Benton say now?" She adds coldly. She was starting to get tired of him. She was in good company though, it seemed like everyone had a problem with him.

"A lot, he even made a sonewhat lude comment towards Maddy, I was really close to smacking him across the face. Everyone left once Tani left." Blossom crossed her arms over her chest. "Why is he apart of the council again if he can't get his head out of his "old life" ways and just help everyone out. This kind of thing is going to spark another war, something we're trying to avoid."

Luke sees that Blossom and Sage are talking out the window. He finishes the snack and gets outside. “What happened in the council meeting? Tani seemed really upset.” he said. He was worried about her.

Irin had stopped trying to get at the councilman, but he overheard the other few around his talking. "--another war,something we're trying to avoid." He turned toward them and started to chuckle, walking over . "Sorry if I seem like I'm eavesdropping, butting in or whatever, but would another one be all that bad? I mean, if it weren't a war and more of... Say, a purge, to cleanse the land of the eh.." He pointed a thumb at Benton. " insolent? "

Sage bites the inside of her cheek. It's pretty obvious that Luke cares about Tani, but she shouldn't share information about what happened inside the council walls. "It was just Benton again" she answers with an eye roll. She gives Irin a horrified look. "We can't just kill anyone and everyone who we have problems with" she replies. "We'll just have to deal with him until we can eventually vote for a new council leader"

Luke looks like he was about to explode. He hated Benton, although he agreed with Sage on not killing who they had problems with. He says, “I really don’t like Benton.” but didn’t say it loud enough for others to hear besides Sage, Blossom, and Irin, just in case someone took him for questioning if they heard him say that, thinking he was plotting a murder.

*Benton put on his hat and looked at Irin before Irin turned away* Frankly my boy, I dont give a damn. *Benton grabbed his cane and walked outside back towards his home*

*However while the city's people decorated the streets, a dark presence was growing in the north. One spot in particular had a very sinister aura around it. The tree's were a dead black color and covered in snow, the animals rushed away from it and those who didn't became sick and began to shrivel up. A skull laid outside of the snow. Its jaw was open in a state of permanent shock as it looked onwards towards the skeletons of other people. Suddenly the snow began to move. A hand shot out of the snow and pulled its owner out with it. The owner of the hand was 6 feet tall and skinny. They wore a thick fur cloak and had a sword sheath draped over their shoulder. The person also wore a mask. A mask of a beast that only showed its owners eyes. And their eyes were black with specks of red. Talla had returned.*

His response was quick, almost too quick. "Then put it to a vote!" He quieted his voice again. " I, for one, know that I don't want a simple minded fool at the head of the council. " His words were harsh, his voice sharp as a knife. "You have the power to call a vote, don't you? He'd only call you traitorous if he had something to hide."

Luke backs up a little bit, not wanting to get arrested or worse. He wished this person wasn’t so foolish enough to just blurt that out at Benton. He sure wouldn’t.

Zinx could tell something was wrong... Something bad was coming... He ran into the forest, trying to find the cause of it and hopefully stop it before it got any worse. He began to see dead trees and the feeling was getting worse. He made his way into the snowy area, not prepared to see Talla right there. He stood frozen in shock, wondering how this monster was still alive.

"It's not always that easy" Sage tells Irin. "There may be a lot of people that hate him, but there are a lot more that stand behind him. The last thing we want is to divide this kingdom by force. We'll let this go down slowly and naturally" Sage explains calmly.

Gwen exits the town hall. She clutches the new orders in her fist, she is still slightly irritated by this new rule. At least she can be comforted by the fact that they had a large army. So they did have men and women to spare.

Irin chuckled some more. "Well, he did just say he didn't give a damn about what I, a mere citizen in his opinion, has to say to him. If I told a few friends of mine, they'd spread the word even more. The more people know he doesn't care about him, the more likely the people are to vote him down." He smiled mischeviously .

Sage shakes her head. "That will only divide the kingdom back to what it was before. We don't need that" she tells him firmly. "Division creates aggression, and aggression creates wars" she adds.

Gwen moves to the barracks to tell her men and women about the new rules. They don't seem as frustrated by the new rule as Gwen was. Most likely because guarding a house or a single person was much easier than protecting a whole kingdom. She assigns one newbie and one veteran to each Council Member. She also assigns a few more so they can switch from morning shift, to afternoon, to night. When she is done, she sighs. This order meant she would loose much more men and women than she initially thought.

Blossom arived home to find that Emi was gone, but the note stating she was gathering blackcaps asrrued her some. Not much though.

Emi curled up into a ball and tryied to rest, but the throbbing kept her awake. At the worst case her leg was broken somewhere but the best case would be a tweak in the leg somewhere. She gave up and sat up and nibbled on the blackcaps muling over her options.

“And wars are always bad.” Luke said. He remembers how he lost his parents to the slave area and they died and he had to fend for himself. He shudders a bit, not liking that memory.
