Julian had heard that there was a pool, something he contemplated about going to. For one, it would be heavenly just to sink into the water and let the stillness consume him, but on the other hand other tributes would most definitely be around as well. Deciding that who cared anyways, he made his way up to the pool his hands having the swimming trunks given to him by an avid and a spare shirt. It was a fast change and there wasn't really anyone in the male changing area so he felt pretty comfortable, putting on the trunks and shirt before going to the pool proper. He hoped the presence of a career wouldn't change the happy shrieked that could be heard.

Emmie gets out of the water. She shivers. She dives back in and resurfaces. Her laughter echoes around. "I wish I could freeze this moment forever." she murmurs to herself. She loves the water.

Kyu picked out a music themed tankini and went to change. It fit her like a glove and she slipped in the deeper end to smugerge herself in the cool water. When she surafced she shook out her hair and swam a few laps around the pool. As she did so, sometimes the scar from getting shot by the arrow was visable, however between the Capital's medicine and brief threapy she had recovered.

Chakti laughed, closing his eyes against the spray, then dived under the water again, swimming quite fast to the other end of the pool. He watched Emmie jump back in, squinting through the water, then swam back that direction, coming up below her and scooping her up, his smile stretching from ear to ear. "Hello! How's the water?"

"Ha ha. Its great!" she says. Emmie's smile says it all. She kicks water in his face and goes back under, going as deep as she can. She can hold her breath for a long time, due to having to prevent breathing in smoke and coal and dust for years.

Sitting by the lip of the pool far away from the others, Julian looked out at the happy faces and smiled albeit slightly sad. Happy memories would be hard to come by in the coming days so he wanted to keep as many as he could to keep himself grounded. At first, he simply watched, only submerging his feet in the water. The cool water lapping at his ankles sent a wave of nostalgia crashing over him, memories of late night beach walks and crowded bathtubs nearly bringing tears to his eyes. Julian was glad it didn't though, it would be embarrassing to see a career cry for no particular reason.

Chakti sputtered, closing his eyes, then wiped them and laughed, diving down himself. He smiled, even under the water, then swam over to the shallower end and did a handstand, his feet breaching the surface, then shifted his weight over to one hand, waving the second one around to spin himself.

Emmie watched him. She surfaces and sits on the ledge. Her eyes gravitate towards Julian."Why does he look kinda sad?" she wonders. She shakes it off and gets back in. She copies Chakti. She spins a bit before falling in. She sighs under water and smiles. She opens her eyes and instantly regrets it.

Chakti stopped spinning, watching Emmie, then pulled his feet under the water, his hand off of the floor, and surfaced with an acrobatic roll, awaiting Emmie's face at the surface, his smile showing a hint of a brag on it.

Emmie silently went behind Chakti. "Boo!" she cried from behind him, spraying him with water. She splashes him as hard as she can, which granted, is not that hard, but still. She laughs a bit.

Chakti yelped, then turned and grabbed her, falling backwards, a smile on his face. He let go of her at the last second,, then stood up and asked, "Never opened your eyes under the water before?" He chuckled a little.

"No. We don't have much swimming back in 12." she says. She looks excited. "It hurts!" she says, sounding slightly crazy. Emmie floats around some more, rubbing her eyes.

Harlow nods and helps Leaf into the swimsuit. Harlow is simply wearing a black two piece. She doesn't need anything fancy anyway. "You look really nice" Harlow tells Leaf with a mischievous smile. Her smile disappears when she hears the excited hollers from the pool. A crushed look appears on her face in that moment. She has been so narrow minded lately. So focused on surviving and protecting Leaf, that she was blind to the fact that these tributes were still kids. Hearing them excitedly play around in the pool... well, it showed their true colors. They weren't the heartless killers that Harlow had desperately trying to believe. How am I supposed to kill them now that, that lie is no longer in my head? Harlow thinks to herself. "D*mn it Leaf" Harlow hisses as tears spring into her eyes. "How are we supposed to kill these children Leaf?" Harlow asks. "It doesn't feel right... especially considering the fact that we are going to have one soon too!" She starts shaking. Although it's unclear if it's from rage or sadness. "I don't want to" she whispers. "Not again"

Emmie smiles at Chakti. She swims around the edge of the pool. She was still admiring the bathing suit Leaf was in. She accidentally splashes some water at them. "Ah, I'm sorry!" she cries, suddenly looking scared and horrified at what she had done.

Harlow had slipped onto her knees with the realization and Leaf had followed her down though on one knee to hlep keep her balance. "I dont know. The last group we faced were kids too, techincally we're all kids, and we're all being forced to kill one another. We could try to avoid them like last year." Leaf gently touched the side of Harlow's face, then gently cupped it in her hands to that Harlow could see the small tragic smile on her face. "But then again I'm not sure the Game makers would like that." She kissed Harlow's forehead then put her own foread against Harlow's. "Let's not worry about that now, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Okay? Let's just try to relax and enjoy this moment, we might not get another like this again."

Gleen's eyes sparkle. "I heard they had a pool." she tells Helene. "No thank you. I don't like swimming." Helene said tartly. "Ha, of course. We could ask if we could go back to the training center." Gleen suggests. "Sure." comes the response. "We could I dunno, spar I guess."

Harlow sniffs and nods slowly. "You're right... that's a good idea" she sits there for a moment, enjoying the feeling until she sudden feels a splash of water hit her. She cries out in surprise and leaps up onto her feet. Her eyes land on Emmie's horrified face. She starts giggling, her eyes are soft and her face shows no sign of irritation or anger. She wipes wet hair out of her face as an excuse to dry her eyes. "It's okay" she tells Emmie with a laugh. "Don't worry about it"

Emmie nods slowly. She backs away and goes to the other side of the pool. She begins playing with her thumbs. Her blue eyes reflect the clear pool water. "What if I drowned?" she wonders. "What would the capital do?" she thinks. "Hurry back to 12 to get another tribute?" she ponders this.

Leaf smiled at Harlow loosening up and gave her a quick peck before entering the shallow end and sitting up to the neck in the water. It was a bit difficult to swim with the baby on the way, but that didn't mean she couldn't watch.

Rita came up when she heard her mentor mention the word "pool" and found the other tributes already there swimming and generally being childish. Rita smiled and changed into a simple golden one piece and started to swim around. Rita bumped into a 12 year old girl with fair skin and long brown hair from district. Her green eyes are wide and alert, jumping at being bumped. Rita quickly applogised and tryied to swim away but the other girl gripped Rita's hand and let her stay, indicating that it was okay. Rita blushed a bit but stayed put.

Sliding into the pool properly, Julian sighed and submerged himself, letting his thick hair fan out around him as he watched feet running around in the pool, muffled laughter reaching his waterlogged ears. It was easy for him to keep his eyes open in the water, the sting of chlorine a simple bug bite in comparison to the salty brine of the ocean. He stayed down under water, heart beat slowing down so he could simply sit and appreciate the sight even longer. Submerged for a good 10 minutes, aided in part by his own powers, Julian blinked away a few stray tears before resurfacing, his hair a dripping wet curtain that veiled his face
