“Knock one out? Our goal was to drive them away...not to knock them
out...you realise that correct? What you did was more than enough.
Now please, you earned a good rest.” He continued to groom his
friend. He looked up at Yoru. “I think so. But I’ll let Fen say, he
knows his own health the best...”
Fen swings his tail over his chest as he sees Yoru approaching,
maybe out of comfort, or maybe so that they don't have to see the
cut. "I'm fine..." He says determinedly. "How long was I out for?"
Yoru shrugs. "Doesn't matter. You need to rest. I need to talk to
you guys about this in the morning. we're also keeping that Keldeo
around until then, she probably knows more than we do. Just go to
sleep, everyone." She glanced at Noba as well, putting an emphasis
on 'everyone'.
Mia, nestled up next to the couch and leaned on it, letting her
exhaustion claim her, as she so desperately needed it to
Fen hesitated, before saying: "...Okay." He used his fluffy white
tail to cover his body, and wiggled under the blanket for extra
warmth. It was cozy, but Fen had a million questions keeping him
up. What were the shadow pokemon? Why did they have gems in them?
Why did they attack? Who was that Keldeo, where did they come from,
and why did they need help? And why were so many humans being
transformed into pokemon? Eventually, Fen managed to fall into a
light and uneasy sleep, still overthinking all the questions.
Noba was going to, regardless if she told him or not. And he was
certainly not leaving his friend’s side tonight. Though, he did
want to be able to speak to others too, when time allowed it. He
snuggled up to Fen and almost buried him in floof, before falling
asleep
Fen's eyes flutter open, light shining through one of the windows.
He looks around. Where was he again? Oh yeah, Yoru's house. He
shifts his position... and sees Noba fast asleep right next to him.
It was a little awkward, but he was glad to see that Noba cared
about him. Fen carefully hopped of the bed, careful not to disturb
his growlithe friend, and pulled the blankets over the Floof Boi,
insulating him even more. That should make a fire type feel good.
Not knowing what to do, he quietly opened the door, and padded
softly into the hallway, ignoring how tired he still was and the
aching of his cut.
Yoru had passed out on her bed soon after checking up on Fen last
night. Now she was waking up in the morning with a groan. As much
as she wanted to sleep in, other pokemon probably needed her. She
practically fell off the bed as she made her way toward the door,
walking like a zombie outside. She knocked on Yami's door. "If
anyone asks where I am, tell them I went shopping, kay?" She didn't
wait for and answer, simply walking out the door and trying to walk
the sleep off.
Fen nodds, and swishes his tail calmly. Hmmmmm... He wonders if
anyone else was up. Maybe he could talk to them? He turned around.
Noba would probably still be the best option. He was still feeling
bad about how he let the pokemon down...
Candy was running around outside, enjoying the breeze. She let out
a happy giggle as she started to roll down a hill, crashing onto a
tree and breaking it down. She quickly stood up and looked at the
fallen tree. "Oops."
Riptide stretched. He was feeling well rested, and wanted to go and
visit Fen. After all, fen was the first one to really warm up to
him! The popplio wanted to make sure he was okay, and honestly, was
a bit lonely. He walked up to Fen’s bed, asking if Fen felt better.
Fen found a couch in the living room, and curled up on his own,
trying to come up with logical answers for all the dozens of
questions he had. No matter what, one thing was for sure. He had to
get stronger and faster and smarter; he didn't want to have to be
more of a burden than he could be.
Mia noticed the rockruff from before enter the living room. She let
out a little whimper and stayed near Midnight, as she was shy
around strangers, but Midnight had been nice to her. The chains
that had bound her in the woods had left stinging red marks, and
she was honestly still scared and confused at everything.
“Yeah...thou mayest call me Noba.” He smiled. “You’re Riptide,
right?” He laid down on the floor, tail slowly swishing back and
forth. He wondered what his story was?
Fen's ears perked up. He turned to see his visitor. It was the
confused keldeo from before, with bandages around her legs. That
must have felt terrible... fen would have hated to be trapped like
he thought she was. He wagged his tail slowly, to show that he was
a friend. "Oh, hello!" He gave a small grin. "I'm Fen." He examined
the keldeo. She looked a bit wobbly on her legs. That could be the
bandages, or.... he would ask soon.
Yoru ran back to her house, over her shoulder was a bag of medical
supplies; bandages, potions, ice packs. She also got everyone a
quick pancake breakfast. She hoped the wouldn't complain too much.
She opened the door and pushed her way in.
Mia stood taller and looked at Fen. "H-hi. My name's Mia." She had
no idea what pokemon she was, and she didn't want to look. She
didn't like the forest, though she was calming down.
Blaze was still asleep, he woke up when they started talking, he
slowly opens his eyes and looks around him, he closed his eyes and
try to sleep as the others talk
